There was even a sense of distortion and reversal, rendering his Five Elents True Fire utterly ineffective. At best, it could only weaken a fraction of the mystic light as an attack.
For Bai Xu, defeating Tong Yu would have been simple. In the path of the Five Elents, Tong Yu had not walked as far as he had. Tong Yu was confined to Bai Xu’s earlier understanding of the Five Elents, having only cultivated the surface without grasping the essence. Had Bai Xu employed the Reversal thod, Tong Yu’s martial soul would likely have been overturned, leading to his defeat.

The entire Star Luo Imperial Capital was shrouded in shadow. The killing intent in the air silenced everyone present, leaving them staring dumbfounded at the extraordinary figure in the heavens.
The horn on the head of Tong Yu’s Five Elents Unicorn glowed, and a streak of multicolored light shot forth, thin as a needle. His eighth soul ring flashed, but just as the unicorn’s body was about to follow through with the attack, it sensed an overwhelming aura of death and halted mid-step.
The multicolored light was blocked by Bai Xu’s hands, now wreathed in black energy. Then, as if beyond control, it was dragged into a cycle of reincarnation, grinding away until it was completely extinguished without even a hint of its forr might.
That eighth soul skill was the most powerful attack Tong Yu, as a Limit Douluo, could unleash. His ninth soul skill was called the Great Five Elents Divine Light Shield.
Because his eighth soul skill’s offensive power was already overwhelmingly strong, having another powerful attack as his ninth soul skill would have been aningless. Instead, he opted for an ability that could complent his eighth soul skill and leave his opponents with nowhere to hide.

En Ci sighed in relief. Fortunately, this individual was willing to grant him—and the Star Luo Empire—face. Had Bai Xu chosen to engage him in battle above the capital, regardless of the outco, the greatest losses would have fallen upon Star Luo.
Moreover, from Bai Xu’s earlier words, it seed his vendetta against the Spirit Pagoda and the Holy Spirit Cult was to demand an explanation—specifically from the Spirit Pagoda?
