The mont Bai Xu stepped into the spatial rift, Gu Yue and Na’er followed closely behind. Yet, when they entered, they did not see his figure—only an endless expanse of white greeted them.

"The Heaven of Selfless Transformation..." The two murmured, as if they had instinctively understood the nature of this place the mont they arrived.

"Here, we can know anything...?"

Gu Yue and Na’er couldn’t help but whisper, "The Future of Selflessness...?"

Hmm!

The white world began to fill with color. Suddenly, the Dragon God appeared before them, and with him ca the Sword of the Asura God. The sword slashed down, splitting the Dragon God in two.

The golden dragon was suppressed, while the silver dragon fled.

This place seed to be replaying Gu Yue’s life—yet, at Donghai Academy, she had never encountered Bai Xu.

Thus, Gu Yue watched as she and Tang Wulin gradually developed feelings for each other. A faint displeasure rose in her heart, but overall, it was as she had expected. In a future without Bai Xu, she and Tang Wulin still fell in love.

After the Abyssal War, Gu Yuena held absolute dominance. The Divine Realm had not returned, the Plane Master slumbered, and the soul beasts controlled ninety percent of the soul masters. It seed as though they had finally seized the best opportunity.

However, the Gu Yuena in the vision did not consider the future of the soul beasts. What awaited them was still a dead end. Tang San’s ntal imprint had been planted in Gu Yuena’s mind—even if they took control of Douluo, the enraged Divine Realm would return.

No matter the outco, the soul beasts would face annihilation.

Tang San’s ntal imprint did not activate—perhaps because he never expected Gu Yuena and Tang Wulin to perish together, frozen deep beneath the polar ice.

"Hah. Back then, we only wanted to sacrifice ourselves to extinguish the soul beasts’ ambitions. Were we running away? Or did we truly believe that killing Tang Wulin would solve everything if the soul beasts gained the upper hand?" Gu Yue glanced at Na’er, scrutinizing her. In their past life, all of this had stemd from her.

Na’er awkwardly turned her head away. "Don’t look at like that. We’ve grown now—we won’t be so... foolish again."

"Yes, thanks to Bai Xu... But what is this place? It’s so mystical, allowing us to see the future?" Gu Yue wondered.

Just as they thought the Silver Dragon King’s life had co to an end and were about to turn away, the vision continued. Ti flew by—ten thousand years later, the ice lted.

Gu Yue and Na’er’s eyes slowly widened in shock as they beheld the adorable young boy before them. "Lan Xuanyu... Possessing both golden and silver dragon bloodlines... So, the Dragon God was waiting for him!"

But Gu Yue’s expression grew increasingly cold.

The future Gu Yuena made her deeply uncomfortable. Just as Bai Xu had said, she seed to have lost all rationality, denying her own identity and past as if being the ruler of the soul beasts pained her.

Then why not just stay with Tang Wulin?

Marry into the Tang family—no one in that world could have stopped them. Why go through all that only to later deny everything she had fought for?

What... was she even doing?

Such contradictions were utterly ridiculous. The future her also disregarded right and wrong, blindly supporting Lan Xuanyu in everything he did.

Want to argue morality? Then let’s see who has the stronger hand.

Gu Yue’s current logic could not comprehend her future self without Bai Xu.

"Is the ntal imprint affecting ?" Gu Yue wondered.

Falling into a star while battling the Crimson Mother... The Divine Realm’s return with twelve God Kings... Her bloodline being stripped away to help her son beco the Dragon God... She herself beca the Goddess of Life, fully human.

Everything seed... fine.

A happy family. The Tang family now boasted six God Kings. It looked harmonious, didn’t it?

"Heh." Gu Yue sneered.

Even Di Tian had compromised in the end, becoming Lan Xuanyu’s soul spirit, his corpse turned into a battleship. Yet, he never beca the Dark Dragon King.

But when she saw herself calling Xiao Wu "Mom," Gu Yue completely lost it. If she recalled correctly, Xiao Wu was rely a 100,000-year-old Soft Bone Demon Rabbit who had taken human form.

The Seven-Elent Fission shattered the world around her. Panting heavily, her forehead drenched in sweat, Gu Yue’s fury was palpable, as if it could materialize.

"Don’t lose control. We still don’t know where we are or where Bai Xu went," Na’er advised, beginning to explore their surroundings.

"Let’s go find him. What we saw today stays between us—don’t tell anyone else."

"Hah, Bai Xu probably already knows," Na’er chuckled.

Gu Yue paused. Her anger had clouded her judgnt, but upon reflection, it made sense. Otherwise, Bai Xu wouldn’t have spoken the way he did before.

"He could have ignored us. With his growth, even if it took longer, Gu Yuena and Tang Wulin together wouldn’t have been a match for him. Gu Yue, what do you think he wants?" Na’er asked.

Gu Yue followed Na’er, slowly calming down. Her anger dissipated as she softly replied, "Just as he once said—when we look up, we’ll find him waiting for us on the other side of the river. He wants us to run toward him. What about you?"

Na’er smiled. "Although my brother treated well, that doesn’t an his family would do the sa. The ntal imprint in your mind is proof. Right now, I favor Bai Xu more. At least he’s never lied to us or used us. His sincerity can’t be faked."

"If anything, we’re the ones who took advantage of him..."

With that, Na’er moved to embrace Gu Yue, as if to rge into Gu Yuena. She had no objections.

But Gu Yue refused. She pushed Na’er away. "Not yet. Let’s wait until we’ve dealt with the ntal imprint. If it activates and kills , you’ll have to lead the soul beasts forward."

"That won’t happen. Bai Xu will bring you back."

"But... wouldn’t that just be giving Bai Xu an advantage?"

Gu Yue and Na’er exchanged glances, their cheeks flushing slightly. Without another word, they walked forward, as if they could see the only splash of color in this white world.

---

"How do I know you’re not lying?" Bai Xu asked.

"Hahahaha!"

A burst of laughter echoed from the depths of the world. Another Bai Xu threw his head back and laughed, radiating an air of carefree confidence.

"See, Number One? I told you that with how suspicious we are, he wouldn’t fully believe you."

"Brother, let introduce myself. I’m the Bai Xu who reached the seventh level—the one he ntioned. He and I stand together in this domain. Knowing you wouldn’t believe him, I ca personally to deliver a mark."

With that, his body dissolved into divine light, rging into Bai Xu’s brow.

mories flooded Bai Xu’s mind, his eyes gleaming with understanding. Now, he fully believed the man before him.

"That divine ability is to prevent the will of the universe from shalessly erasing you. Whether you can comprehend it is up to you. That’s all there is to say. What’s your answer?" The other Bai Xu remained calm, pouring another cup of tea, giving him ample ti to think.

Bai Xu sat silently, replaying and calculating everything in his mind. Should he stay here? But... he turned his head, as if seeing sothing. On the other side of the river, two girls were indeed running toward him.

He smiled. "I’ll stay. I have my own path. If I die, it just ans that’s my limit. I’ve long been prepared for this journey."

"No regrets."

The other Bai Xu nodded, his body slowly dissipating.

"Bai Xu!?" 2

Gu Yue and Na’er were sprinting toward him, their vision dreamlike as they saw two Bai Xus. Their auras, however, were entirely different—one transcendent, as if he wouldn’t be noticed unless he sat right before you; the other, the Bai Xu they knew, smiling gently, yet... subtly changed.

"One last reminder before I go—this girl has a ntal imprint. Though it’s harmless, ant only to prevent her from harming soone, it will still influence her over ti. How you break this situation is up to you."

Bai Xu glanced at Gu Yue. "Tang San’s backup plan activated early? Will it affect Gu Yue too much?"

"No. The influence is gradual. In other words... it depends on her willpower. If she’s strong, the effect is minimal. But if she wavers, it could alter her future."

"I wasn’t asking for your help. Once I recover my strength, the Dragon God Core will easily resolve this. But... is this other you really disappearing?" Gu Yue stepped forward, taking Bai Xu’s hand, as if to soothe the worry in his eyes. She glanced at the fading figure beside them.

The other Bai Xu sighed. "Ah, to be twenty again. Perhaps it’s for the best—this age hasn’t stripped away your potential. If possible, the rest of us Bai Xus will be waiting for you in the Heaven of Selflessness."

"Until next ti."

"Until next ti!" Bai Xu tightened his grip on Gu Yue’s hand.

The white faded. In the blink of an eye, the three were back at the mountaintop courtyard. The spatial rift slowly closed. The other Bai Xu had co only to explain, leaving nothing behind—no secret techniques, for everything was already within that manual.

"Let’s talk inside. I’m sure you both have questions. My origins are pretty much laid bare now—no more secrets." Bai Xu chuckled, leading the two girls inside.

The wooden house was lush, as if reclaid by nature, brimming with vibrant life energy. No insects buzzed, only serenity.

Gu Yue and Na’er sat on either side of Bai Xu, sipping tea as they conversed.

"So, you’re from another world?" Gu Yue asked after hearing his story.

"Yes."

"Now that we’ve seen the future without you, we’re finally on equal footing," Na’er laughed.

Gu Yue t Bai Xu’s gaze firmly. "Bai Xu, sitting here today ans we’ve already made our choice. The future can be changed—we don’t want to repeat the past. What I had with Tang Wulin seed profound, but upon closer inspection, it was riddled with the God King’s sches. Besides, in this life, we don’t love Tang Wulin. Only you."

"What’s your answer?"

Bai Xu studied their expectant expressions and sighed. "At first, I was influenced by that other Bai Xu’s power, which made indifferent to others. But even that couldn’t stop from interfering in your lives. What does that tell you?"

"Of course I love you."

The two girls smiled, unsurprised.

But Bai Xu’s tone shifted. "Since you know everything now, let ask you this—what will you do next?"

Though both had grown vastly different from their past selves, Bai Xu wanted to hear their decisions.

Gu Yue spoke first. "Simple. Continue our plans, grow stronger, and remove this ntal imprint. I’ll still join the Spirit Pagoda."

She didn’t ntion that the soul beasts were now betting everything on Bai Xu. Saying it outright might backfire—actions would speak louder.

Na’er followed. "If Gu Yue is handling the soul beasts’ revival, I’ll focus on cultivation. Since we can’t rge yet, I’ll go to the Douluo Spirit Pagoda to rescue my parents. Their kindness in raising outweighs everything. Those three years gave countless mories—I owe them my gratitude."

Bai Xu nodded. "As you should."

"Life is divided into stages, each with its own goals. Knowing what you’re doing is being responsible to yourself. Life is like a ga of chess. As long as we make our moves without regret, all will be well. Gu Yue revives the soul beasts. Na’er saves her parents. You strive for your goals instead of trailing after , letting your emotions hinge on mine. The sa goes for ."

Seeing Bai Xu’s lecturing expression, Gu Yue and Na’er exchanged exasperated glances, silently agreeing.

The next mont, they each took one of his hands. Bai Xu, who had been smiling smugly, was caught off guard, staring at them in shock.

Their faces were flushed, but their resolve was firm. Their auras intertwined as they spoke in unison:

"Bai Xu, we’ve already run toward you—not to follow behind, but to stand beside you. So... wait for us."

Seeing their affectionate gazes, Bai Xu’s initial panic settled. Softly, he replied, "Okay."

Gu Yue’s face burned. Feeling like she couldn’t hold back any longer, she averted her eyes and stood abruptly. "I only took a few days off. The exchange in Star Luo will last another year. I’ll visit when I can."

It felt strange—she and Na’er were one person, yet in two bodies. The sensation was odd.

"Alright. I’ll be here for the next six months."

After seeing Gu Yue off, Bai Xu turned to Na’er. "Aren’t you going back? Did you explain things to Shrek Academy?"

Na’er, inheriting Gu Yuena’s beauty—silver hair, violet eyes—smiled enchantingly. "I left a letter. My teacher must’ve seen it by now. Rather than staying at Shrek, I’d rather experience more by your side. From showing the cruelty of humanity to making leave first during the Soul Emperor’s pursuit... Being with you is far more interesting. Besides, if I leave, who will help you cultivate with the Dragon God Core?"

"Fine. Let’s go train. Once I fully refine my six viscera in six months, I’ll take you to settle the score with those Soul Emperors."

"Deal."
