-------------------------------------------------------------

Half a year had passed.

From ti to ti, Gu Yue would visit Bai Xu and Na’er, bringing along daily necessities. The one-year exchange program on the Star Luo Continent was also nearing its end.

Tang Wulin had gone missing—trapped within the Dragon Graveyard. The "Thousand-Day Dragon Burial" had long since begun, and many dragon souls had already acknowledged the current Golden Dragon King, choosing him as their inheritor.

Bai Xu’s words had not exerted much influence on the dragon souls in the graveyard. After all, they had been dead for tens of thousands of years, their minds muddled and confused, recognizing nothing but bloodline.

But this was of little consequence.

In the courtyard, the three of them sat around a table, chatting idly.

"Once the Star Luo trip is over and we return, I’ll apply to graduate from the outer court and enter the Spirit Pagoda’s headquarters to research ten-thousand-year spirit souls," Gu Yue explained, outlining her plans without any further concealnt from Bai Xu.

"Not joining the inner court?" Bai Xu asked.

"No. Thinking about it now, my teacher is the deputy tower master of the Spirit Pagoda. She treats well, and I won’t need any additional qualifications—I can at least succeed her. There’s no need for to play nice with the Qiangu Family."

Gu Yue recalled how, in the future, she had toyed with Qiangu Zhangting’s emotions and even...

She shuddered, growing increasingly disgusted with that version of herself.

How foolish.

In truth, it had been entirely unnecessary. With the twin achievents of successfully developing ten-thousand-year spirit souls and the Beast God Platform, even without Qiangu Zhangting’s affection, her position would have been secure.

In the end, whether she beca the tower master or not didn’t matter—as long as the Beast God Platform was widely adopted, allowing most human soul masters to enter, the plan would be complete.

Na’er sighed softly. "I never expected Qiangu Dongfeng’s ambitions to be so vast—colluding with evil soul masters to destroy Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect. Master... well, I suppose everyone has their own fate."

Of course, she couldn’t reveal the truth. She must not reveal it.

Yet her luck had been truly abysmal. In this world, few were connected to her. Tang Wulin was the Golden Dragon King; her foster parents had been kidnapped by evil soul masters and t a tragic end; and Yun Ming had perished under a god-slaying soul tool shell of the twelfth rank. In the future, she too would be assimilated, until eventually, no one even rembered her.

Not even Tang Wulin had ntioned her again, as if she had never existed.

In that future, Tang Wulin loved only Gu Yue. Na’er was already gone.

No one rembered her.

Bai Xu said, "Knowing the future ans wanting to change it. Everyone is selfish—especially those of us with complicated backgrounds."

"So that’s why you interfered with us?" Gu Yue smiled.

"Yes."

"Thank goodness you did."

Noticing this, Na’er grinned. "It’s been so long since I’ve wandered around town. Since Gu Yue is here, I’ll take a stroll nearby. You two chat first."

With that, she left, dragon wings spreading from her back as she soared into the sky.

Gu Yue and Na’er now each possessed fifty percent of the Silver Dragon’s origin energy, ensuring their long-term coexistence and guarding against the spiritual imprint left by Tang San.

Bai Xu watched Na’er’s retreating figure thoughtfully.

Gu Yue’s voice carried a hint of nervousness as she reminded him, "Last ti, I took advantage of you—planting Na’er by your side to keep watch. That was wrong of . You said you wanted compensation. What is it you desire?"

Bai Xu’s eyes lit up, and he imdiately replied, "You can summon dragon wings too, right? Co closer and let touch them."

"W-what?!" Gu Yue was stunned, her face flushing.

After a mont of hesitation, she channeled her soul power. Silver-white dragon wings unfurled, their full span reaching about three ters. Majestic and elegant, the mbranous wings bore crystalline silver patterns, now fully displayed before Bai Xu.

The texture was cool to the touch, and the wings seed innately attuned to wind energy. Bai Xu stroked them gently, his eyes gleaming with fascination, as though deeply intrigued by these extraordinary appendages.

Gu Yue’s face burned crimson. Several tis, she nearly told him to stop, but she endured it.

Three minutes later...

Haaah...

Gu Yue retracted her wings, panting slightly. "Enough. No more touching."

Bai Xu laughed. "Ah, I was just curious. Are you really that sensitive? Are you alright?"

Glaring at him, her cheeks still flushed, Gu Yue snapped, "You know exactly what you’re doing."

"Co on, I’ll help you inside to rest." Bai Xu moved to support her.

Gu Yue hastily stepped back. "I’ll stay here. After we talk, I’ll leave."

Suddenly, she fixed him with a stare. "Did you make the sa request of Na’er when you were with her?"

"No. Na’er was following your orders to monitor . She owes no compensation."

"Hmph. Consider this debt repaid."

"Just once? You exploited without my knowledge. This is far too lenient." Bai Xu refused to let it go.

"What else do you want?!" Gu Yue’s embarrassnt flared into anger. She gritted her teeth. "How can you do these things without even blushing? You’re shaless."

Bai Xu: "..."

"Fine. I’ll let it go this ti. Next ti, I’ll collect properly."

A while later, Na’er returned, carrying a few purchases. With a teasing grin, she asked, "Gu Yue, you two didn’t do anything, did you? Why does the air sll a bit... fragrant?"

"Nothing happened. You’re imagining things," Gu Yue replied coldly.

"Oh?" Na’er shot Bai Xu a knowing look, her smile widening.

Gu Yue composed herself. "Tang Wulin went missing during a Tang Sect mission—likely drawn into the Dragon Graveyard. The Dragon God’s legacy for the Golden Dragon King awaits him there."

"So, big brother is currently burying dragon bones?" Na’er murmured.

Gu Yue nodded, then glanced at Bai Xu.

"What? Isn’t this normal?" Bai Xu replied matter-of-factly. "Your dragonkin relationships are far too convoluted. The Dragon God... well, I won’t comnt. The Golden Dragon King was slain, and Tang Wulin is the new successor. Since you’re here with now, it’s hard to judge."

"Sigh... What a tangled ss." Gu Yue exhaled, then changed the subject. "Bai Xu, what’s your current cultivation level?"

"My six viscera have been fully tempered. Oh, here—these are for you and Na’er." He produced two sets of five-colored battle armor.

"These are imbued with the laws of the Douluo Planet and my Five Elents power. They’ll grow alongside your strength, eventually evolving into four-word battle armor and granting temporary mastery over the Five Elents. Consider them my gifts to you. For the design, Na’er’s is a silver battle skirt, while Gu Yue’s is five-colored. You should be able to refine them. With deeper comprehension of the Five Elents, you might even replicate so of my techniques."

Neither Gu Yue nor Na’er refused the precious armor, accepting it silently, their gratitude etched in their hearts.

"What are your plans next?" Gu Yue asked.

"Na’er and I will hunt down the evil soul masters who ca after us. After that, I’ll focus on cultivation—breaking through to the ridian Opening realm."

"I looked into that massacre. The Star Luo Emperor never publicized it. He secretly organized a purge of evil soul masters, but they were too well-hidden. In the end, nothing ca of it. Can you really find them?" Gu Yue sounded skeptical.

"Of course. I have my thods."

Gu Yue stood and approached Bai Xu. Taking the Dragon God Core from Na’er, she bathed him in nine-colored light, slowly drawing out a strand of divine power from his body. "Those who’ve used the Dragon God Core are easily influenced by its power. Your spiritual level is high, but there’s no guarantee it wouldn’t briefly control you. I’ve removed its residual energy."

Bai Xu smiled. "Good."

"Since you no longer need it, I’ll take it with . Our plan begins now. Farewell!"

"Farewell!"
