The days that followed were stable. Bai Xu truly beca Gu Yue’s secretary at the Spirit Pagoda, a position secretly arranged by the Heavenly Phoenix Douluo himself. Since the two of them maintained a low profile in their daily lives, this arrangent did not cause much of a stir.
Every now and then, Na’er would visit, and the three of them would stroll around Shrek City together, leaving their footprints in the quiet passage of ti.
Each of them had their own goals to pursue, and most of the ti, they were occupied with their own endeavors.
While cultivating, Gu Yue also took on the research of spirit souls. Artificial thousand-year spirit souls had already been successfully developed and popularized, but artificial ten-thousand-year spirit souls remained an unsolved challenge. She never expected Bai Xu could even change colors.
Walking on the right path, Bai Xu felt a peculiar sense of wonder. The Five Elents were his ans of understanding the world—or rather, he now needed to learn the transformations of the universe and personally enact them, gradually becoming a creator.
Just like now.
In Gu Yue’s private office, a potted plant sat on the windowsill. Gu Yue wasn’t present, leaving Bai Xu alone in the main seat, lost in thought.
He reached out, and the pot was drawn toward him. Upon closer inspection, it contained a Blue Silver Grass.
"By stimulating the growth of the Blue Silver Grass with the essence of the wood elent, it will continuously reproduce and expand. Under the influence of vast life energy, a small portion may even evolve into spirit beasts. Given enough ti, I could even nurture the Blue Silver Grass into a Blue Silver Emperor, potentially creating an entire Blue Silver Forest.
But this isn’t transformation—it’s rely an external application of the wood elent.
All things that possess the properties of growth, rising, flourishing, and free-flowing vitality belong to the wood elent.
The heavens have the Five Elents, dividing ti to nurture all things. Their divine manifestations are known as the Five Emperors.
Therefore... the wood elent is the Green Emperor!"
As if influenced by Bai Xu, the Blue Silver Grass in the pot suddenly stretched out, its veins becoming visible. A green divine light traveled through its veins, spreading across its entire body. The blue leaves expanded continuously, and a surge of life energy filled the room. The single plant evolved into a spirit beast—first a ten-year, then a hundred-year, and finally a thousand-year spirit beast.
The Blue Silver Grass grew to several ters tall, its life energy enveloping the entire room. Its growth signified Bai Xu’s progress in mastering the Five Elents.
Then, its spirit skill lashed out at Bai Xu’s face. A thousand-year spirit beast had no intelligence—having just been born, it acted purely on instinct upon encountering an unknown human.
Yet Bai Xu did not dodge. He murmured, "The chanism of creation... If I can bestow it, I can also take it away."
At his will, the life force shifted. The spirit skill dissipated midair, and the towering Blue Silver Grass instantly regressed into an ordinary plant, quietly resting in its pot.
"Now, let’s deduce the infinite possibilities of the Blue Silver Grass!"
Life energy once again filled the room, and at the sa ti, Bai Xu finally understood the words of his other self:
"At 120 years old, the ridians fully open, and the Five Elents Body takes initial form."
The difference between a mortal body and a Five Elents Body was imnse. Though the mortal body was weak, it faced less resistance in cultivation, and opening the ridians was relatively easier. Once fully developed, it could possess the power to move mountains and fill seas.
The Five Elents Body, however, had inherently tough ridians. The resistance and resources required to open them were unimaginable. But if one with a Five Elents Body succeeded in fully opening their ridians and comprehending all transformations of the world, they would gain the power to destroy planets. Whether by accelerating natural evolution or directly causing destruction, a Five Elents Body cultivator could dismantle an entire world from within, driving it toward annihilation.
The key, however, lay in the Five Elents physique. The first Bai Xu had spent a full 100 years just to achieve its initial form—and even then, he had yet to master all transformations.
A hundred years was far too long. Bai Xu’s ti was limited; he had to complete his cultivation before the final showdown. By then, with the artifacts, formations, and divine abilities he had refined, he was confident he could dictate the course of events.
Fortunately, opening the ridians in a mortal body was easier. He would first open them in his mortal form, then use the Five Elents to comprehend all things in the world and forge his Five Elents Body. This was the most ti-efficient path.
"The ridian-Opening Realm is quite fascinating in itself."
There were five major stages in opening the ridians: the Three Yin ridians of the Hand, the Three Yang ridians of the Hand, the Three Yang ridians of the Foot, the Three Yin ridians of the Foot, and finally, the Eight Extraordinary ridians.
The twelve main ridians were interconnected through the yin-yang pairings of the hands and feet, forming a continuous cycle that spread symtrically across the head, torso, and limbs, running through the entire body. The six yin ridians were distributed along the inner sides of the limbs and the chest and abdon, while the six yang ridians ran along the outer sides of the limbs, the head, and the torso.
They circulated qi and blood, connected the internal organs, and linked the upper and lower parts of the body, forming an endless loop within. Once essence, qi, and blood could flow freely through the ridians—reaching the organs internally and the muscles externally—one could operate at full capacity, achieving feats like splitting mountains and cleaving the earth.
"Then, let’s begin..."
Bai Xu sat cross-legged in ditation, using the essence of the Five Elents to continuously impact his ridians.
The night deepened.
The office door creaked open as Gu Yue walked in, looking exhausted. She slumped into the soft chair behind the desk, closing her eyes to clear her mind.
Researching artificial ten-thousand-year spirit souls was ntally taxing. It felt like there were many possible paths to success, yet none at all.
Suddenly, a refreshing sensation washed over her heart. Life energy rippled through the room, slowly restoring her.
"Feeling better?" Bai Xu erged from his cultivation and asked softly.
"Not yet. Stay like this a little longer. I need it."
"Alright." Bai Xu did not disturb her, waiting quietly while using the spare ti to continue studying the transformations of the Five Elents.
After a long while, Gu Yue finally sat up and said, "Today, I overheard so gossip outside. Want to hear it?"
"Hm? What is it?"
Bai Xu knew Gu Yue wouldn’t bring it up unless it was noteworthy.
With a mischievous smirk, she said, "My colleagues found out I’m the Heavenly Phoenix Douluo’s direct disciple. They started whispering behind my back, saying I’ve been keeping a pretty boy in my office who does nothing, and they’re wondering what shady things we’ve been up to in here."
Bai Xu: "..."
"Let the rumors be. I don’t care."
"But you really don’t do anything. You eat my food, live in my place, and even make supply you with research material every day..." As she spoke, Gu Yue transford into her Silver Dragon form, elental energy swirling around her as she approached Bai Xu, offering herself for study as usual.
"There’s a deeper purpose to this. Who knows? Maybe one day I’ll be able to recreate the Silver Dragon’s origin source and make another Silver Dragon King."

Gu Yue was stunned. She imdiately understood Bai Xu’s implication and demanded, "You’re not actually thinking of making and Na’er exist separately, are you? Two won serving you at once? Keep dreaming!"
