"Hello, Lunar. My na is Bob," Bob said to Lunar, who was now sandwiched between and him. We were sitting in the eting room.

In front of us was a large oval table made from so kind of expensive wood. Twelve chairs surrounded it, all occupied by the selected adventurers for the tournant.

Lunar kept her head down as she replied, "H-hi, Brother Bob." She was trembling as she spoke.

"You can just call Oni-chan. Don’t worry, I’ll protect you in the tournant," Bob said with a constant smile on his face. He really looked like a suspicious guy. If this were our world, he’d probably be mistaken for a kidnapper with that kind of impression.

"Enough, Bob. Can’t you see she’s scared of you? Don’t worry, Lunar. We’re not bad people," I said to her. She looked really innocent. To think she was selected, there must be sothing special about her.

Lunar suddenly shuddered when I spoke. She looked absolutely terrified, now being the center of attention between two adult n.

"I think you guys should stop pressuring her like that. That little girl is trembling for her life," Maya said.

"What!? I didn’t do anything! I’m just being friendly, right, Lunar?" Bob said, moving his face even closer to her. Lunar slowly raised her face, and imdiately, tears began to fall down her cheeks.

Maya imdiately stood up and switched seats with Lunar. Now sitting beside Evelyn and Selene, Lunar seed much more comfortable chatting with the two girls.

"Tchh! Why does this lioness always ruin my happiness?" Bob muttered quietly, glaring toward the other side.

"What did you just say?" Maya asked.

"Nothing."

Ehem ehem.

Beltimore cleared his throat, and the room fell silent as everyone’s attention turned toward the three people seated at the front.

Mirinda sat at the center of the oval table, with Beltimore on one side and Ida on the other.

"First of all, congratulations to everyone in this room for being selected. All of you have shown great effort over the past months, and we noticed that. Because of that, each of you is more than worthy to carry the na of our guild."

I felt a small swell of pride in my chest. It seed soone had truly placed their hopes in .

As Mirinda scanned the room, she asked, "But it seems soone has sothing to say. Before we proceed, please feel free to ask anything."

Lee raised his hand. Mirinda nodded, giving him permission to speak.

"I want to know why our team has E and G-rank mbers. What exactly is their contribution that made the higher-ups select them? I think we’re the only guild with such low-ranked mbers. We’ll just beco a laughingstock." He then cast a glance in my direction.

Honestly, I wanted to know the reason too. I knew Beltimore and Alice must have told Mirinda everything that happened in the cave. But selecting ... it felt like it could jeopardize the harmony within the guild.

Mirinda rested her chin on her hands and smiled. "So you’re saying I made the wrong selection?" she asked, locking eyes with Lee.

Lee flinched. "N-no, I didn’t an it like that. I just want to know the reasoning behind it." He knew very well how terrifying Mirinda could be and didn’t want to trigger her.

All eyes turned to her, waiting for an explanation. Because honestly, it wasn’t just , everyone in this room wanted to hear the answer.

The room went silent.

Only the sound of breathing could be heard.

"The reason I chose them is simple. They are the key to our push for victory," she said, her eyes gleaming with confidence.

She turned her gaze toward and Lunar. Our eyes t.

"Sooner or later, you’ll understand why I selected them. I believe William and his team already know Alan’s potential. As for Lunar, I witnessed firsthand what she’s capable of."

William, Evelyn, and Maya all nodded in agreent.

Lee and Mark stayed quiet, trying to figure out what Mirinda actually ant.

"Well then, if there are no more questions, I’ll pass this over to Ida," Mirinda said, leaning back into her chair.

Ida stood up, adjusted her glasses, and lifted her clipboard. She unfolded a sheet of paper and began to read from it.

"As the Guildmaster has already ntioned, we’ll be sending our full force into each of the three events. But before we dive into the roster, there’s a restriction you need to be aware of, especially for those here who’ve never entered the tournant before."

"First, there’s a limit to how many events a person can enter based on their rank. Rank S mbers are only allowed to participate in one event. Most guilds will naturally assign them to the event with the highest points: the group battle," Ida explained.

"What? Only one?!" Bob collapsed into his chair like he’d just lost a bet. I glanced at him, he really looked like soone who had just watched all his grand plans fall apart. He must had plan to show off in every category.

"So I’ll be in the solo battle, right?" he asked, laughing awkwardly.

"No. You’re in the group battle," Ida replied flatly.

Bob buried his face in his arms on the table.

Ida continued, "A and B ranks are allowed to enter up to two events. C rank and below can participate in all of them."

"We’ve already finalized the roster. And I can promise, it’s going to be very interesting," Mirinda added with a mischievous smile.

Then suddenly, Mirinda, Beltimore, and Ida all turned to look at . Their expressions twisted into wicked grins.

Oh no... they’re definitely planning sothing.

And it can’t be good.

Edward walked steadily toward the throne room, a paper clutched in his hand, the map of a newly discovered tunnel at the mining site. His eyes were sharp, filled with determination and focus.

Trailing behind him was his Royal Knight, Thomas.

Edward had already secured permission to request the King’s presence and summon all the High Council mbers.

This must be sothing really interesting, Thomas thought, just as he followed Edward into the throne room.
