At the Lookout, Kami stood overlooking the world below.
His face was filled with fear. Sweat poured down like rain, and his body trembled uncontrollably.
"Kami!"
Mr. Popo called out with concern.
Seeing Kami so shaken yet silent, Piccolo snapped impatiently:
"You old fool! What did you see that scared you like this? Speak already!"
Kami looked at Piccolo and said:
"I accept your proposal… let's fuse. Once we rge, you'll understand everything."
Piccolo's pupils shrank.
"Stop wasting ti. Just tell what you saw!"
Kami closed his eyes.
"I saw… Cell absorbing humans nonstop."
"In just one day… he has already absorbed hundreds of thousands."
Piccolo was shocked.
"What?! Hundreds of thousands in one day?!"
Kami nodded.
"And although he's still suppressing his energy… I can feel him growing stronger."
"If this continues… the world will be destroyed."
Even Piccolo was shaken.
He looked at Kami seriously.
"Have you thought this through?"
"Once we fuse… you'll disappear completely. Even your soul won't belong to you anymore."
Kami closed his eyes again.
"The Earth doesn't need a god who can do nothing!"
He opened his eyes—sharp and resolute.
"The sins of King Piccolo began with . I already brought disaster to this world once."
"And even then… it was humans who sealed him, not ."
"This ti… I refuse to be a useless god who can only rely on others!"
Kami looked directly at Piccolo.
"I've been observing you for a long ti. You're no longer like your father."
"That's why I finally decided to rge with you."
"I'm old… only by fusing with you can I fulfill my purpose."
He extended his hand.
"Co. Take my wisdom and power… and save humanity."
"This ti… we will save the world together."
Piccolo fell silent.
Deep down, he—like Vegeta—was obsessed with becoming stronger.
But compared to the Saiyans, his growth had always lagged behind. That frustration never left him.
Seeing Kami's determination, Piccolo finally nodded arrogantly.
"Hmph… do as you like."
He raised his hand.
Their palms touched—
A blinding white light erupted.
In an instant, Kami's form faded away—
And Piccolo's power surged explosively.
The increase rivaled the potential unlock he received from Guru on Nak.
When the light faded, Piccolo looked at his hands in shock.
"So strong…"
"My power… has increased this much…"
He suddenly recalled Guru's final words:
"You are a once-in-a-thousand-years genius among Nakians.
If you had never split into two… even Frieza wouldn't be your opponent."
Piccolo thought:
"So… it was true."
Mr. Popo watched as Kami disappeared into Piccolo.
Tears stread down his face.
"Goodbye, Kami… please don't die…"
Piccolo turned back.
"I am no longer Kami."
"Goodbye, Popo."
With that, he leapt off the Lookout—
Rushing toward Cell's location.
anwhile…
Vegeta stood on a steep cliff, deep in thought.
Suddenly, a voice interrupted him.
"Vegeta! So you're here!"
Without turning around, Vegeta replied coldly:
"Nappa, don't annoy . Get lost."
Nappa grinned.
"I didn't want to co either. Kakarot asked to tell you sothing."
"He said it's important—and it'll make you stronger."
Vegeta's expression flickered slightly—but he still didn't turn.
"What is it?"
Nappa explained:
"There's a room at the Lookout called the Hyperbolic Ti Chamber."
"One year inside equals one day outside."
"And inside, gravity and pressure are about ten tis Earth's—perfect for training."
Vegeta finally turned.
"Is that true?"
Nappa nodded.
"Of course!"
"Kakarot and Future Gohan already went in yesterday. It's been a full day."
"I bet when they co out… they'll be insanely strong."
Vegeta's pupils shrank.
"What?!"
"They've already been inside for a day?!"
Nappa nodded.
"Y-yeah…"
Goku was already stronger than him—strong enough to defeat the androids.
And now he was training even more?
How was Vegeta supposed to catch up?
Vegeta clenched his fists.
"Kakarot… you bastard…"
Seeing his anger, Nappa quickly added:
"Kakarot told to tell you—you should go train there too."
"He said now that you've seen how strong the androids are, with enough ti, you'll definitely break through."
Vegeta snorted.
"Hmph. Even if I train… I won't train with Kakarot."
Nappa nodded.
"They should be coming out today."
"But before you go, you should prepare food and water."
"I heard the food inside is terrible—"
Before he could finish—
Vegeta shot into the sky toward the Lookout.
"Hey, Vegeta!"
His figure disappeared instantly.
Nappa looked at the capsule in his hand.
It contained all the food he had bought with his savings.
Then he chased after Vegeta.
At the Lookout
Vegeta arrived and imdiately questioned Mr. Popo:
"Kakarot hasn't co out yet?"
"Not yet."
"Find out when he's coming out."
Mr. Popo replied calmly:
"Sorry, Mr. Vegeta."
"The Hyperbolic Ti Chamber exists in a different ti dinsion."
"If he doesn't co out, I cannot call him."
Vegeta snorted.
"Hmph. I'll give him one hour."
"If he doesn't co out… I'll break the door."
At that mont, Nappa arrived, panting.
"Good… good thing you didn't go in yet…"
Vegeta glanced at him with disdain.
"Idiot. Why are you here?"
Nappa said:
"Kakarot also said… inside it's completely empty—just endless white space."
"If you stay alone too long, you'll go insane."
"So I decided—I'll train with you."
"My strength is too low. I need to improve."
"I can't keep embarrassing Saiyans forever…"
Vegeta snorted.
"Hmph. At least you're aware of your weakness."
