With Android Eight leading the way, Goku didn't have to wander around at all. He found the hidden room on the top floor in no ti.

Eight pointed at a large door.

"This is the command room on the sixth floor. The village chief is being held inside."

Goku nodded.

"So it's here… Pretty well hidden. Thanks, Eight."

"No problem."

Goku pushed the door open.

The room was spotless— almost unsettlingly so.

General White was leaning against the central control console, staring them down as if he'd been waiting all along.

He forced a calm smile and said,

"Kid, you're impressive for making it this far. Our Red Ribbon Army could use talent like you."

"How about it? Want to beco one of our officers?"

Goku chuckled.

"You think I'm three years old?"

White: "..."

Android Eight spoke quietly, almost pleading.

"General White… you're not his opponent. I advise you to surrender."

White exploded.

"Eight! You useless traitor! You dare tell to surrender?!"

As he shouted, White slamd a hidden switch.

CLICK!

The floor beneath Goku and Eight opened like a trapdoor.

Eight dropped instantly.

But Goku simply… floated in midair, smiling down at White.

White's pupils shrank.

"What—?!"

"You can fly?!"

Goku grinned.

"Yep. I can fly. Miscalculated, huh?"

At that mont, a scream echoed from below.

"HELP! There's a monster down here—!!"

Goku blinked.

"…How is a guy that big this cowardly?"

Without hesitating, he dove into the pit.

White froze— then burst into laughter.

"What an idiot! You jumped into the trap yourself!"

"I was worried for nothing."

"No martial artist in the world can beat that thing."

"Enjoy being its dinner! Hahahahaha!"

He sealed the trap shut.

Down below…

A monster with pink skin and a long green tongue stared at them with hungry, greedy eyes.

It flicked its tongue, releasing a rotten stench, and began inching forward.

Android Eight backed up so hard he nearly glued himself to the wall behind Goku.

"S-Son Goku… I'm scared…"

Goku set his stance.

"Relax. I'll handle it."

He stomped forward and charged.

The monster snapped its body around and whipped a thick tail at him.

Goku jumped clean over it.

Landing lightly, he raised a fist, smiling like it was a warm-up.

"I'll only use thirty percent. Let's see if you can take it."

His punch slamd into the monster's belly—

…and sank in like he'd struck a giant slab of rubber.

Goku's eyes widened.

"Huh?"

"…It didn't work?"

The monster suddenly swung a massive palm.

Goku slipped aside and kicked it— harder this ti, using far more force.

The creature fell backward with a heavy THUD, sitting down like a giant toddler.

But it looked completely fine.

It stood right back up, unhard.

Goku's expression darkened slightly.

He rembered important people— like Eight.

But this kind of no-na monster? He couldn't recall its weakness at all.

Still, he didn't panic.

If fists didn't work… then energy would.

He drew his hands to his waist, ki gathering rapidly.

"Kaa… e… haa… e…"

"HAA!!"

A powerful Kahaha blasted straight into the monster.

But the mont it hit—

BOOM!

The beam bounced off as if it had hit a mirror.

It shot upward instead, blasting a hole through the floor above.

Goku didn't try to escape.

He stared at the monster, intrigued.

"So this is one of Dr. Gero's early bio-android experints…"

"…Interesting."

Before he could think further, the monster's tongue snapped out like a whip, surging toward him— fast like a frog catching prey.

But to Goku, it was slow motion.

He shifted a single step sideways and the tongue missed by a full ter.

Then he pulled out the Power Pole and smashed it down on the green tongue.

A strike that usually cracked mountains…

…landed like it hit cotton.

Not even a ripple.

Goku's brows lifted.

The monster wrapped its tongue around the Power Pole, trying to swallow it.

Goku yanked hard and tore it free.

His expression turned serious.

"Immune to physical attacks… immune to ki blasts…"

"Good thing it's slow and not that strong."

"But how do I kill this thing?"

A voice ca from the hidden speakers above— General White.

"Hahahaha! Well? Stuck, kid?"

"I'll give you one last chance!"

"Hand over the Dragon Ball and the radar— and I'll spare your life!"

Goku looked up toward the cara.

"Still dreaming? Even if I can't kill this thing, killing you would be easy."

White snarled.

"Stubborn brat! Then I'll grant your wish!"

"Big Monster— eat them both! Don't hold back!"

The creature's tongue snapped out again— but this ti it went straight for Android Eight.

Goku frowned.

"…It can eat tal too?"

Eight got wrapped up instantly.

"AHH! HELP! SAVE !!"

Goku moved in a blur.

Before the tongue could retract, he forced it open with his bare hands and pulled Eight free.

"Eight! You okay?"

Eight collapsed onto the floor, panting.

"I'm okay… Thank you…"

"Stay back," Goku said quickly. "Let figure this out."

"O-Okay…"

Eight retreated behind him again.

Then the monster's antenna suddenly fired laser beams at Goku.

Goku weaved through them like he was strolling through a park.

But his mind was working nonstop.

This thing was just a Red Ribbon pet monster— it shouldn't be this troubleso.

Its destructive power wasn't high… it just wouldn't die.

Like a weird, softer version of Botamo from Universe 6.

Only this wasn't a tournant ring.

He couldn't "ring it out."

Goku narrowed his eyes.

"A squishy body like this… maybe it's weak to cutting attacks."

"If only I'd learned the Destructo Disc…"

He thought about finding a blade— anything sharp enough.

Then, through the glass window, he saw the raging snowstorm outside.

He looked back at the monster's damp, fleshy body… and that long, sloppy tongue.

And a thought flashed through his head.

"…Could it be?"

"Is its weakness… the cold?"
