Now reading: Chapter 76: Goku smiled faintly from Dragon Ball: A Life Without Regrets, a Action novel by NightShard2153.

"My na is Son Goku. Rember it."

Demon King Piccolo frowned. "Son… Goku?"

"That's right."

Piccolo clenched his fist, fury rising again.

"Bastard, don't get cocky!"

"The mont you witness my true power… is the mont you die!"

A trace of mockery curved Goku's lips.

"True power?"

Piccolo snarled, refusing to lose face.

"That's right! You don't think I'm only capable of this, do you?!"

Goku remained calm, almost bored.

"Then bring it out."

"Otherwise, when I kill you, your 'true power' will rot with you in the grave."

Piccolo ripped off his cape.

Seeing him finally get serious, Goku smiled—and pulled off his own outer shirt as well.

Piccolo roared and charged first.

But the instant his fist was about to touch—

His target vanished.

In that sa breath, Goku appeared at his side and slamd a brutal kick into Piccolo's face.

Piccolo scread, his jaw twisting as he was blasted backward.

On TV, people couldn't even see what happened.

They only saw a blur—

And then the Demon King was sprawled on the ground again.

At Ka House, Master Roshi sucked in a sharp breath.

"I can't see it… I can't see it at all…"

"Unbelievable. Goku's movents are so fast… even I can't track them anymore."

Launch blinked, suddenly realizing sothing.

"Huh? Wait… when Goku fights…"

"Isn't he still wearing his weighted suit?"

Roshi froze.

"What did you just say?"

He couldn't understand it—how could Goku be this fast while wearing weights?

Roshi tried to comfort his own mind.

Maybe it wasn't that heavy.

The vest didn't look big.

But Launch pointed at the screen.

"Look! That black undershirt he's wearing—that's the weighted suit Bulma made."

"It doesn't look like much, but it weighs more than a hundred jin."

"I can't even wash it by myself."

Roshi's eyes bulged like he'd seen a ghost.

"How much…?"

"More than a hundred jin?!"

Launch nodded confidently.

"Yeah. Every ti, Violet and I have to lift it together just to wash it."

Violet nodded too, worried.

"Exactly—more than a hundred jin."

"But Goku is so careless!"

"He forgot to take the weights off before fighting."

"And his shoes are weighted too!"

"If he fights like this… I'm afraid he'll get tired fast."

Roshi inhaled again, cold all the way down his spine.

Wearing that kind of weight—

And still overwhelming Demon King Piccolo in speed?

Forget fatigue.

That ant sothing far scarier:

Even while restrained… Goku was crushing Piccolo.

A thought surfaced in Roshi's mind—one he'd avoided for years.

Goku… turns into a giant ape under the moon…

His growth in power is completely unlike a human…

"He's an alien…" Roshi muttered under his breath.

"He has to be."

Piccolo forced himself back up, wiping sweat from his forehead.

He erased the disbelief from his face and replaced it with murderous rage.

"Damn you… unforgivable!"

He slamd a foot down and launched forward again, palm sharpened like a blade.

His hand chopped toward Goku at terrifying speed—

But it cut through nothing.

Before Piccolo could even retract—

Goku appeared again, like he'd teleported.

A single kick crashed into Piccolo's stomach.

The impact made Piccolo's insides churn violently.

His eyes bulged, veins bursting crimson through the whites.

His mouth opened, nearly vomiting from the shock.

He staggered back, clutching his abdon, sweat dripping to the ground.

Goku watched him wobble… and looked genuinely disappointed.

"So this is the 'invincible' Demon King Piccolo?"

"That's it?"

"What a letdown."

Across the world, families watching the broadcast scread in joy.

Snow's whole family jumped up.

"Wow! That Son Goku is incredible!"

"Piccolo looks so pathetic!"

Snow nodded hard, eyes shining.

"Yeah!"

"Goku is amazing… he's so cool!"

But Snow's mother, seeing that worshipful gaze, couldn't help the faint sadness that flashed through her eyes.

She understood.

Her daughter had fallen for him.

Maybe it was only a crush—maybe only admiration—

But it was still a first love.

And first loves had a way of becoming soone's "white moonlight" forever.

Even if she grew up, even if she married soone else…

If she never saw Goku again—

She might never truly forget him.

At the Ox-King's castle, Chi-Chi and the Ox-King were also watching, thrilled.

Chi-Chi lifted her chin proudly.

"Dad, did you see that?!"

"My Goku is so strong! That Demon King isn't even a match for him!"

The Ox-King swallowed hard and nodded.

"Yeah… I never imagined Goku would beco this powerful."

"Even Demon King Piccolo can't stand against him."

Chi-Chi's cheeks flushed bright red.

"And Goku's taller now…"

"He's… so handso…"

Just the thought of marrying him made her heart race.

"If I'm really going to be his wife…"

"My heart's going thump-thump-thump…"

Right as Piccolo steadied himself again, the roar of an engine cut through the air.

Goku heard it imdiately.

He turned his head slightly.

Tien and the others…

That tiny mont of distraction didn't give Piccolo a chance to sneak attack—

Instead, it enraged him even more.

Piccolo snarled.

"Bastard! What are you looking at?!"

"You're fighting , and you still dare to lose focus?!"

"I told you—this is nowhere near my strongest power!"

"Don't underestimate !"

Goku looked back at him, voice flat.

"Yeah?"

"Then show ."

"I'll wait."

Piccolo wiped the bruising on his face and—strangely—smiled.

"To push this far… you're the first."

"When I use my full power, it shortens my lifespan."

"That's why I usually don't."

"But now…"

"…it seems I have no choice."

He planted his feet, lowered into a perfect stance, and roared.

His aura surged.

Goku could feel it clearly—Piccolo's strength was climbing rapidly.

Veins swelled on Piccolo's forehead.

His muscles expanded—not grotesquely, not sluggishly—

But like a predator tightening into its killing form.

At that mont, Tien, Krillin, and Yamcha leapt off their plane.

"Goku! Are you okay?! We're here to help!" Krillin called.

Goku didn't even look worried.

He simply turned his head and said, firm and cold:

"Stay back."

"This is my fight."

"Don't interfere."
