Now reading: Chapter 4 4: Using the Systematic Transformation Method from from Dragon Ball: Do I Even Have a Choice, a Action novel by DarkVerse.

Age 738, on a small high-gravity planet nad Beselilt.

"One year has passed. My power level has risen to another level."

At this mont, atop a massive mountain in the eastern region of the planet, a young boy stood with excitent written all over his youthful face.

He was Zeru. It had already been a full year since he left Planet Vegeta.

Over the course of this year, his growth had been extrely rapid. His power level had increased from 100,300 to 200,000.

Don't think that gaining nearly 100,000 power level in a year is slow. One must rember, he didn't possess an elite Saiyan bloodline, nor did he have access to a high-multiplier gravity chamber to boost his strength.

At this early stage, as rely a low-class Saiyan, being able to increase his power level by nearly 100,000 within a year was already astonishing.

Just look at Goku on Earth—what was his power level at the beginning of Dragon Ball Z?

So overall, Zeru's rate of growth was nothing short of extraordinary.

After so thought, Zeru attributed this incredible progress to the 50% S-Cells within his body.

As seen in the original Dragon Ball Super, after Goku transford into Super Saiyan God, his growth accelerated dramatically because he retained traces of divine power and a higher realm of understanding.

Similarly, Zeru now possessed 50% S-Cells. It was well known that once a Saiyan successfully transforms into a Super Saiyan, their training efficiency increases significantly.

In Zeru's view, the reason growth becos more and more terrifying is largely due to the quantity of S-Cells within a Saiyan.

Once his S-Cells reached the threshold required for transformation, he would be able to enter Super Saiyan with ease.

He might not even need to reach the standard power level requirent to achieve the transformation.

"Wait… I might be able to try the systematic Saiyan transformation thod from Dragon Ball Super—gathering energy in my back to transform into Super Saiyan!"

A sudden realization flashed in Zeru's eyes.

Without hesitation, he took a deep breath, clenched his fists, and stood upright on the ground.

Boom!

As Zeru slowly closed his eyes and concentrated all his energy into his back, a powerful aura erupted from his body. Imdiately after, a golden fla burst around him.

"Super Saiyan… it actually worked!"

A few seconds later, Zeru slowly opened his eyes. Glancing at his status panel, excitent and thrill filled his face.

To be honest, transforming into a Super Saiyan was sothing every Dragon Ball fan had dread of.

And the feeling of actually becoming one…

It was unbelievably exhilarating.

"Whew!"

After savoring his newfound strength, Zeru reverted to his base form and let out a breath. His base power level was 200,000, and with the Super Saiyan transformation multiplier, his power skyrocketed to 10 million.

"Ten million power level… At this point in the tiline, aside from Frieza, I'm basically invincible."

Thinking this, Zeru couldn't help but smile. It was only Age 738, still eleven years before the start of the original storyline. In that ti, he believed his strength would only beco more terrifying.

After staying on this planet for a few more months, Zeru set off toward another world.

According to his earlier plans, he intended to head to Earth to et characters from the original story. Of course, the main reason was to et Bulma…

No.

After thinking about it, Bulma was only five years old right now. That made her just a little girl, and Zeru felt there wasn't much point in interacting with her at this stage.

Rumble!

Just as Zeru raised two fingers to his forehead, preparing to use Instant Transmission to leave Beselilt, a series of roaring spacecraft engines suddenly echoed across the sky.

"Hm?!"

Zeru looked up and saw multiple spacecraft from Frieza's army descending from outer space.

"I have co—to conquer!"

"Inhabitants of this small planet, do not even think of resisting the great Captain Dukado's invasion!"

"Kill them all!"

Several loud voices echoed through the sky. Zeru blinked, then casually raised a finger.

Boom!

A simple Energy beam shot out and instantly blew one of the spacecraft into fragnts.

"What?!"

"Enemy attack!"

"Defensive positions! Find the enemy!"

With one ship already destroyed, panic spread among the soldiers of Frieza's army aboard the remaining ships.

Whoosh!

Zeru shot straight into the sky, arriving amidst the fleet.

"A Saiyan?!"

Inside one of the ships, a green-skinned humanoid frowned upon seeing Zeru.

He was the squad's leader—Captain Dukado, an elite warrior with a power level of 50,000.

"Destroy him!"

Dukado narrowed his eyes and issued the command.

At once, the cannons of every spacecraft locked onto Zeru.

Facing the barrage, Zeru remained calm. He spread his hands, golden light flickering at the tip of each finger.

Boom!

With a thought, he unleashed ten Energy beams at once.

Rumble!

Explosions erupted across the sky.

"Ahhh!"

Screams echoed endlessly as the fleet was annihilated.

"Hm? That's it?"

Watching the entire squad get wiped out so effortlessly, Zeru frowned slightly, feeling a hint of disappointnt.

But then again, with a base power level of 200,000, crushing these low-level soldiers from Frieza's army was nothing more than effortless domination.

"I can already transform into Super Saiyan. With this level of strength, I can start training across the universe. I wonder if Beerus is still asleep at this ti. If I get the chance, I might be able to et Beerus and Whis…"

Placing two fingers against his forehead, Zeru pondered briefly. Then, his figure gradually vanished from the planet Beselilt.
