Goku's gaze turned icy.
"Toppo, it's about ti you showed your true power."
"Son Goku, I underestimated you." Toppo's tone sank. "Now I'll let you witness my strongest form!"
His muscles began to swell, bulging layer by layer.
The soft belly vanished, replaced by a sharply defined six-pack.
And between his chest and abdon, a strange sigil slowly appeared, like so ominous crest.
"Haaaah !!"
A blinding pillar of light, thousands of ters tall, blasted into the sky. A terrifying shockwave spread outward.
The ground sank. The entire space trembled violently.
Toppo slowly opened his eyes. A chilling violet glow flickered in his pupils.
"Justice doesn't matter anymore," Toppo said coldly. "All I need to do now is…"
"Completely destroy you."
As his words fell, he raised his arm. A light-purple sphere, laced with black destructive patterns, ford in his palm.
The gods erupted into murmurs.
"I can sense the power of a God of Destruction in that technique!"
"As expected of Universe 11's candidate God of Destruction!"
"Now this is more like it. Show the other gods your ultimate power, hehehe…"
Belmod grinned, baring his teeth.
"Go, Toppo… as a God of Destruction!"
"Destruction."
Toppo's low roar rumbled through the air as he thrust his palm forward.
The light sphere, packed with terrifying destructive force, shot out like a cot.
"I've seen this move before!" Goku's expression tightened, but there wasn't a hint of fear.
He adjusted his footing and imdiately gathered energy for a Kahaha.
Rumble…
The two attacks collided head-on. In an instant, a monstrous shockwave erupted in all directions.
The floating spectator platforms swayed wildly in the chaotic gale, as if they could be overturned by the runaway aftershocks at any mont.
Goku's Kahaha was forced back by the Destruction sphere. His body was driven backward as well. His knees nearly hit the ground as the stone beneath his feet shattered, collapsing layer after layer.
"So this is the Power of Destruction… It really is insanely strong…" Goku gritted his teeth, straining to hold on.
"Hmph. Trying to clash Ki with is nothing but suicide," Toppo said proudly. "You have no idea how terrifying a god's power truly is."
He poured even more energy into the Destruction sphere.
Boom!
The ground under Goku's feet disintegrated. He was driven straight down into the depths.
The blue beam of his Kahaha had been compressed back to a point between his palms. It flickered unsteadily, dimming and collapsing in on itself like a candle in the wind, ready to be snuffed out at any second.
"I've pushed my Ki to the limit… My body can barely take it…"
Goku's arms, his whole body, trembled uncontrollably. Even giving everything he had, he still couldn't stop the Destruction sphere from crawling forward.
On Universe 7's platform, everyone's faces were drawn tight with worry.
"I didn't expect Toppo's God of Destruction form to be this strong," Piccolo sighed. "I honestly thought Goku might have a chance to win."
"Goku, surrender," Shin said quietly. "You've already earned enough respect for Universe 7."
"Gods of Destruction are symbols of invincibility. Brat, you've already done more than enough. Losing here is nothing to be ashad of," Beerus added, for once trying to persuade instead of yell.
"That's right, Goku," Whis said. "This is a divine technique. You can't just brute-force it with mortal flesh."
Everyone tried to talk him down, not wanting to see Goku die under the power of Destruction.
"What do you think, Levos?" Frieza turned his head slightly.
Anyone killed by Destruction energy couldn't be revived by any ans.
Even Levos was tense.
Goku getting killed here was the last thing he wanted to see.
"I also think surrender is the wisest choice," Levos said, frowning. "Right now, Goku can't contend with the Power of Destruction."
It wasn't that Super Saiyan Four wasn't strong enough. The gap was in realm.
If you couldn't even sense godly Ki, how were you supposed to overturn a God of Destruction?
That was the core difference between Super Saiyan Four and Super Saiyan God.
"Surrender, huh?" Goku chuckled softly.
"I just want to hold on until the very last second."
"If this really is my limit, then let die to this attack."
"But Levos… you're the one who said it Saiyans have no limits."
"So…"
"I'll use mortal power… to shatter everything!!"
Blood-red light flashed in Goku's eyes. His whole body suddenly erupted with a crimson aura, as if he were burning away the last fragnts of his life.
"Burn it all !"
"Ten tis… Kaio-ken!!"
His body began to crack apart at a speed you could see with the naked eye. Blood sprayed out he had pushed himself well beyond what his body could withstand.
The sky-blue Kahaha beam suddenly flared, more dazzling than ever.
An imnse, suffocating pressure dropped down over the arena, shaking everyone's soul.
Boom!
In an instant, the brilliant beam pierced the heavens, completely swallowing Toppo's body.
Every contestant felt a chill run down their spine.
It was as if that beam was about to punch a hole straight through the cosmos itself.
That was still mortal power.
But right now, that mortal power sent the Destruction sphere hurtling back, forcing Toppo to taste his own attack.
"What?!" Toppo's face twisted in horror.
"How…?"
"How could I be defeated by a mortal?!"
Agony ripped through him as he stared with bulging eyes, his whole body feeling as though it were being torn apart.
Whoosh
A mont later, the Kahaha scattered into fragnts of light and faded among the stars.
Toppo vanished with it.
Silence fell over the arena.
"I won."
Goku's lips curled into a tiny, satisfied smile then his body went limp as he pitched forward.
Before he hit the ground, Levos flashed in and caught him, bringing him back to Universe 7's platform.
"Buu, hurry up and heal Goku."
"Okay!"
Up above, the Grand Minister clapped his hands lightly. From so obscure corner of the universe, a battered, unconscious Toppo was teleported back into the stands.
"The winner of this special exhibition match," the Grand Minister announced calmly, "is Son Goku."
"Goku really won!"
"Congratulations, Goku!"
"That was truly an unbelievable battle, Goku," Shin said, eyes shining.
"Not bad at all, brat."
"My my, even Lord Beerus is starting to look at Goku differently," Whis chuckled.
Goku scratched his cheek sheepishly and smiled at everyone.
"It's all thanks to you guys cheering on that I managed to hold out to the end."
"Hmph. All you did was beat a piece of trash that's about to be wiped out anyway, and the wild monkey's tail is already sticking up into the sky?" Frieza sneered.
Goku grinned.
"Frieza, I won't get cocky… at least not until I've beaten you."
Then he turned to the man slowly regaining consciousness.
"Toppo, you were a great opponent. I hope we get to fight again in the real tournant."
"Hmph. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm only ranked second in Universe 11."
Everyone froze.
Toppo was this strong, and he was only number two in his own universe?
"I'm not the strongest in Universe 7 either," Goku laughed.
He counted on his fingers seriously.
"I'm probably sixth or seventh? No, wait… we've still got a few unbelievably strong villains out there I haven't even t yet…"
Toppo stared at him, utterly unconvinced.
"Son Goku… I don't like that joke of yours one bit."
