Now reading: Chapter 242 242: Your Majesty, You’re Awake! from Dragon Ball: I Became Cell in a Doomed Future, a Action novel by theon.

A gigantic, transparent cube streaked through the void of space at breakneck speed.

It was a miraculous vessel capable of slipping between universes, and it carried several passengers within.

Inside the cube, after finishing his explanation, Levos let out a sigh.

"That's the whole story, Puar. When we get back, don't bully Frieza again, okay?"

"I know, Young Master Levos." Puar nodded hard.

Half-asleep, half-awake, Frieza heard the conversation.

His lips twitched, but he didn't even have the strength to speak.

Every inch of his body hurt. Even shifting a little felt like torture.

From the mont Levos dragged him back until now, his mind had been a foggy ss.

"Buu, trouble you to heal His Majesty's injuries," Levos said.

The next instant, warm healing magic wrapped around Frieza, nding every fatal wound on his body.

Frieza narrowed his eyes a slit and saw seven or eight heads crowded near him, all wearing worried expressions.

He imdiately squeezed his eyes shut again, making sure his thoughts were truly clear—then opened them once more.

"Your Majesty, you're awake!"

After confirming he wasn't hallucinating, Frieza silently pushed himself up.

"Sorry, Your Majesty. You suffered because of us," Levos comforted him.

"There's nothing to feel wronged about," Frieza said stiffly. "It's simply that I wasn't strong enough. If I were powerful enough…"

He stopped.

Only then did he realize every face was staring at him with open curiosity.

"If you were powerful enough, what would you do?" soone asked.

Everyone wanted the answer.

Frieza's mouth twitched. He let out a heavy sigh.

"Frieza, say it already," Goku urged.

Frieza's expression darkened. He swept a glance over the group and, on the spot, produced a brand-new explanation.

"When they treat the survival of universes like a ga… none of you have any thoughts about that? If I had enough power, I would never place my fate in the hands of those so-called gods sitting high above."

Nice. Very spirited.

Levos stroked his chin and nodded repeatedly. Was His Majesty really preparing to walk a hard road of resistance?

The others found themselves agreeing, at least a little. Even Goku felt the Gods of Destruction and Supre Kais from the other universes had gone too far.

"Levos," Goku asked curiously, "are Gods of Destruction really unbeatable?"

"Uh…" Levos choked for a second. How would he know sothing like that?

After thinking it through, he answered carefully. "In terms of raw power tiers, the gap between a God of Destruction and mortals can still be closed through training. If they don't use divine secret techniques, maybe they can be beaten."

"Hakai energy really is scary," Goku admitted, still shaken. "When I fought Toppo, I seriously gave it everything just to barely push that energy sphere back."

"Tch." Frieza sneered. "That kind of energy ball? I could catch it with one hand."

"Frieza, you're amazing!" Goku's eyes lit up, excited. "I'm thinking… soti we should fight again."

"I want to spar with you too," Piccolo said, deadly serious.

"Ohoho! too!" Buu chid in, eager to join the fun.

" as well. I'll work hard!" Puar's gaze turned firm.

"Ch-chk!"

"Chi-chi!"

Even the four little Cells crowded around Frieza.

Levos was speechless.

"Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth—stop causing trouble. You're my sparring partners…"

But then another thought hit him.

Frieza's "private tutoring" effect was insane.

Tagoma and Goku were basically forged by his hands.

Even Levos sotis couldn't bring himself to be ruthless with the little Cells. If they apprenticed under His Majesty, their strength would absolutely skyrocket.

"Then…" Levos looked a bit embarrassed. "Your Majesty, co by Earth more often from now on. And don't worry about getting hurt in training. Our dical team is top-tier in the entire universe. Even if sothing happens, we've got ways to fix it."

As he spoke, Levos shot the clueless little Cells a glare.

"What are you staring at? Massage your master's shoulders, knead his legs!"

"Wait! That won't be necessary!" Frieza's face twitched.

He flashed away from the encirclent. Outside was nothing but endless, lonely starlight—and he couldn't help feeling confused.

"Levos, where exactly are we right now?" Frieza asked.

"I'm not sure either," Levos complained. "The Grand Priest just gave us this ship and then… washed his hands of everything."

"What?!" Frieza's eyes widened. "If we're traveling through space without coordinates, aren't we going to drift aimlessly forever?"

Levos shrugged. "Not that bad. Our pilot's a professional—he won't get lost. The downside is, it'll take three days to get back to Earth."

Following Levos' gaze, Frieza noticed a seated figure atop the cube, seen only from behind.

"B-Bados?!" Frieza jolted. "Isn't she the angel of Universe 6? Why is she here?"

Then a thought struck him like lightning.

"Did she hear what I just said… that disrespectful talk?"

Levos nodded. "Of course. We've been chatting the whole ti you were unconscious."

Frieza grew even more miserable.

"Lady Bados, my apologies. I had no intention of offending angels…"

"Oh my," Bados laughed softly. "No need to apologize. If gods do wrong, then naturally they deserve criticism—and correction."

Even though Bados acted unconcerned, Frieza couldn't relax.

He never doubted the power of any angel.

Especially after seeing Bados display abilities like ti reversal, planetary sealing, resurrection, and even spirit fission, his wariness of that race had only deepened.

"Thank you, Lady Bados," Frieza said politely. "And… sorry for troubling you to escort us back."

Bados replied flatly, "I'm not escorting you. I intend to stay on Earth for a while."

Frieza almost thought he'd misheard.

So… he really wouldn't be able to cause trouble on Earth anymore?

Just as he was plotting how he might "recover face" in the future, the cube suddenly shook violently—and then plunged toward a barren planet.

"Chi-chi-chi! Caught you!"

A yellow-skinned, mouse-headed figure slowly erged from the void.

"Lord Quitela?" Bados straightened.

"Bados, this has nothing to do with you."

A short, bald dwarf with a reddish-brown beard appeared behind the cube, cutting off their retreat.

"Sidra…"

"This planet is hideous," a cold voice complained. "It's unbearable to look at."

"Heles…"

One God of Destruction after another revealed themselves.

Belmod. Iwan. Mosco. Arak. Liquiir. Gin…

Every God of Destruction was present except Champa, Beerus, and Rumsshi.

After them, the Supre Kais of each universe also appeared on the planet.

"To the contestants of Universe 7," soone said, "we et again."

"We will absolutely not allow you to threaten the survival of our universes!"

The cube slamd into the ground. Levos and the others' expressions sank.

They all ca.

Every god who had targeted Universe 7 during the Tournant of Omni was here.

Nine Gods of Destruction raised their palms in unison, aiming at the cube.

"We gods are not unreasonable," one of them said coldly. "So now we'll give you a choice."

"Will you stay inside and die…"

"…or co out and fight us?"
