Bulma imdiately realized she needed to get away from the monster in front of her.
But it was too late. There was no ti to dodge.
Captain Ginyu, now inhabiting the body of Cell Max, lashed out with his massive tail, the mace-like end unfurling into a gaping maw that lunged toward her.
BOOM!
A thunderous impact rang out.
The tail was forcefully knocked back.
Levos stared in shock at the small figure now standing protectively in front of Bulma.
"Miss Bulma, please retreat with Mr. Levos," Frieza said calmly.
Then, in a voice so polite it was chilling, he added, "And do be careful not to get absorbed again."
The next instant, a glacial sharpness filled Frieza's eyes.
"To think you'd push to this extent. I suppose I'll show you what my True Golden Frieza form can do."
The golden aura around him no longer blazed outward, but instead tightened around his body like a gleaming armor.
"This is Golden Frieza: Full Power. Even a genius like hasn't fully mastered it."
With a roar, Frieza slamd his fist straight into Ginyu's chest.
BAM!
Ginyu's massive fra was sent flying.
"Lord Frieza, I… damn it all!" Ginyu cried out, clutching his head. "How could I ever raise a hand against my beloved Lord Frieza?!"
The brief flash of clarity in his eyes vanished.
He lowered his head and murmured, "Lord Babidi, rest assured. I will remove every obstacle in your path."
He charged again, and his fist collided with Frieza's in a devastating explosion of power.
Lava erupted into the sky like a volcanic storm.
A rain of fire began to fall, turning the battlefield into a hellscape.
Above, their figures clashed again and again in the air, neither giving an inch.
Suddenly, Ginyu's entire body lit up with blinding violet light.
Thousands of beams, solidified from that light, burst outward in every direction.
The instant one of those beams grazed Frieza's tail.
Slice!
A section of his tail was severed and sent flying.
"Damn it!" Frieza's pupils contracted.
Just as the barrage was about to carve through him, a hand seized his wrist.
"Co on, Frieza!" Goku's voice rang out.
SHOOM!
In a flash, Frieza found himself whisked away from the center of the battlefield, the deadly energy storm narrowly missing him.
He was t with a face he despised.
"Frieza, you really should learn to trust your allies once in a while!" Goku grinned.
Frieza yanked his hand away with a glare. "Hmph."
Putting on a more serious expression, Goku urged, "You don't have to take everything on alone. Right now, we all need to work together to stop Babidi and his crew!"
Frieza's eyes flicked aside. He folded his arms. "Oh? I'm listening…"
"We've got this secret technique. It lets two warriors fuse into a much stronger fighter!" Goku explained quickly. "Once it's done, you'll have two warriors at your level fighting alongside you!"
"Whatever you're planning, hurry it up," Frieza snapped, clearly disgusted.
He glanced toward the battlefield again. "That monster's heading this way!"
"Got it!" Goku nodded, then gestured. "Hold him off just a bit longer, Frieza. Just a little."
At that mont, Bulma landed beside them.
"Miss Bulma, I ask for your patience. Please endure working with these annoying Earthlings for now," Frieza said, rising once more into the air.
Levos and Bulma exchanged a glance, then shouted in unison, "Yes, my lord!"
Now, the Earth's last defenders had all gathered.
Gohan and Trunks, Goku and Future Trunks each pair stood shoulder to shoulder.
Ti for the fusion warriors to take the stage.
The pairs exchanged determined nods, then aligned their ki in perfect sync.
No hesitation.
They launched into the iconic fusion dance.
"Fu…"
"…sion!"
BOOM!!
Just as Cell Max, possessed by Ginyu, collided with Frieza again in the sky, a thunderous shockwave tore through the heavens.
Flas licked the sky, and the earth trembled violently.
Piccolo's brows twitched.
"Haa!!"
With one final roar from the four warriors, twin blinding flashes of light erupted.
A new duo the mightiest fusion warriors was born.
Levos croaked excitedly in his heart, "Let's go, Shrimp Warrior!"
The sturdiest Saiyans in history were about to rise before his eyes.
He was practically trembling with anticipation.
Bulma, however, furrowed her brows. She was having trouble holding down the wildly bouncing frog in her arms.
The light faded.
Two figures erged from where the four had once stood one plump, one skinny.
In that mont, the light in Levos's eyes went out completely.
He felt like all the strength had drained from his froggy body.
"This… is the strongest fusion warrior?" muttered the chubby one, sporting tufts of purple hair on both sides. He stared at his body in disbelief.
"I'm neither Goku nor Trunks. Call … Gokunks!"
"Eh?" said the skinny one, his fingers poking around his bony fra.
"I'm both Gohan and Trunks. You can call … Gohunks! Nice to et you!"
They looked at each other. Their eyes lit up with fighting spirit.
"Alright then… Let's go!"
"WAIT!"
Before Levos could say anything, Piccolo stepped in with a dark expression.
His brow furrowed like twisted vines.
"The shockwave earlier ssed up your timing!"
"Gokunks, you didn't align your fingers in the final step!"
"And Gohunks, your arm angle was wrong when you extended!"
"Huh?" The fat one blinked, thinking back.
"Oh no! You're right!" the skinny one said gravely. "I just tried running a few steps… and I'm already exhausted."
"Damn it! What do we do now?" They were completely at a loss.
Levos sighed weakly. "We just have to wait… thirty minutes for the fusion to wear off."
Everyone turned to look at the battlefield.
There, Frieza was once again being smashed into the lava lake.
But he rose again instantly, body scorched, eyes blazing, still blocking Ginyu's advance.
Watching their lord struggle so desperately, the group fell silent.
Just then, four new figures entered the field.
Babidi had arrived.
And beside him stood three powerful bodyguards.
Majin Buu, Dabura, and King Cold.
Ginyu stopped moving at once.
Frieza finally got a mont to breathe.
He roared in frustration at the group, "ARE YOU DONE YET?!"
"Uhh… sorry, Frieza," Gokunks scratched his head. "Could you, um, just hold on for another thirty minutes? That's all we need."
Frieza turned slowly.
Glared at the chubby fusion warrior.
He wiped the blood from his mouth, then exploded in fury.
"ARE YOU KIDDING EE?!"
