Paragus: "..."

Right

this really was the nature of the Saiyans.

"Those Saiyans who refused to submit—killing them is one thing, but…"

Gran frowned slightly.

"The ones who did submit—don't lay a hand on them."

Trying to raise a universe's Mortal Level Index with barely a hundred Saiyans was completely unrealistic.

What Gran wanted was Saiyans working together with the Galactic Patrol under the guidance of the Supre Kai—that was the true path to raising the Mortal Level Index.

"I wouldn't dare!"

Paragus lowered his head imdiately.

"I've already seen the state of the Galactic Patrol," Gran continued. "With the Saiyans joining, their strength will only keep growing."

He then turned his gaze toward Kibito and the Galactic King, speaking calmly:

"Lord Beerus no longer concerns himself with the affairs of the universe.

Universe Seven is now under my managent.

I expect you to cooperate fully with the Supre Kai.

Do you understand?"

"Yes!"

Kibito and the Galactic King nodded firmly.

"Then that will be all for today. I'm going to et a guest."

Gran looked at the Galactic King.

"Where is rus?"

rus?

The Galactic King froze.

In his understanding, rus was extrely powerful—an elite-level Galactic Patrol officer.

The decision to allow Saiyans into the Galactic Patrol had also been influenced by rus's recomndation.

Why would a candidate God of Destruction suddenly seek out rus?

A realization struck the Galactic King, and panic flashed across his face.

"Lord Gran… did rus offend you in so way?!"

Paragus thought of the sa thing and hurriedly spoke:

"Lord Gran, if rus did sothing to displease you, I apologize on his behalf! Please don't take it personally!"

The reactions of these two were strange—especially Paragus.

He was a Saiyan once blinded by hatred, yet now he was actually pleading for soone else.

"Paragus… you're interesting."

Gran didn't even look at the Galactic King. His tone was loaded with aning.

"What, did rus feed you so kind of enchantnt? You're actually begging on his behalf?"

There was sothing unsettling in Gran's voice, enough to make Paragus's heart pound wildly.

"Lord Gran, I believe you've already seen the changes in our strength as Saiyans."

Paragus kept his head lowered.

"The truth is, all of this improvent ca from rus's guidance."

Hearing that, Gran took a closer look at Paragus.

The aura he gave off was still violent and explosive—but it was obvious he was deliberately suppressing part of it.

Gran estimated his combat power to be around 1.8 million.

That didn't quite match what that other Saiyan—who'd insulted Paragus earlier—had said.

"Paragus," Gran asked thoughtfully,

"how many Spirit Fruits have you eaten?"

"Two in total."

Paragus answered honestly.

"You gave three Spirit Fruits back then. After eating the first, my strength increased trendously. I couldn't wait and consud the second soon after."

"But after the second, the increase was minimal. So I didn't eat the third."

Only two?

Gran was slightly surprised.

If Paragus had only eaten two Spirit Fruits, there was no way his power could have reached 1.8 million.

Which ant

His strength had been cultivated through rus's training.

"What did rus teach you?"

"He taught us how to control ki—and how to train using gravity chambers."

At that, the corner of Gran's mouth curved upward slightly.

No wonder Paragus had grown so much.

So he'd been using a gravity chamber.

Paragus pleaded,

"rus has helped the Saiyans a great deal, Lord Gran. Could you please—"

Before he could finish

"That's enough."

Gran stopped teasing them and chuckled lightly.

"I have no hostility toward rus. There's no need to worry."

The Galactic King and Paragus both looked up abruptly.

Gran wasn't joking.

"Now tell —where is rus?"

"rus oversees one hundred and four star sectors, including the area around the Galactic Prison."

The Galactic King didn't believe a candidate God of Destruction would deceive him. He pointed out through the transparent glass window toward a distant direction.

"Understood."

Gran pressed two fingers to his forehead and looked at them.

"Rember my order. From now on, cooperate properly with the Supre Kai."

"Yes!"

All three bowed deeply.

Monts later, when they raised their heads, Gran was already gone—without anyone noticing when he had left.

"Phew!"

The Galactic King wiped cold sweat from his face with his tentacles.

"The pressure from a candidate God of Destruction is overwhelming!"

"Tell about it…"

Paragus let out a long breath as well.

Only Kibito remained silent—though it wasn't true calm so much as lingering fear.

Back when he'd first t Gran, he had nearly lost his life due to a mont of disrespect.

...

The Galactic Prison was not located at Galactic Patrol Headquarters.

It lay on a planet in another stretch of the cosmos.

The planet was enormous, its surface dark yellow and desolate in appearance.

Even so, countless cylindrical structures stood across the land. Galactic Patrol officers ard with various weapons patrolled the corridors between them.

Suddenly

A figure appeared directly in front of one of the officers.

The officer's expression changed instantly. He was just about to shout that an intruder had breached the Galactic Prison—

"He's not an enemy. You may stand down."

rus had appeared at so point without warning.

"Yes, sir!"

Seeing rus, the officer imdiately relaxed.

After he left, rus and the newcor faced each other.

"I've heard my big sister ntion that the candidate God of Destruction of Universe Seven has extraordinary talent…"

rus said solemnly,

"But seeing you in person—this goes far beyond extraordinary. It's downright terrifying."

"You flatter , Mr. rus."

Gran looked at Whis's younger brother.

rus wore a form-fitting Galactic Patrol uniform. Two communication devices hung by his ears, making him look no different from an ordinary patrol officer.

"I'm not exaggerating."

rus shook his head.

"Among all the Gods of Destruction, only Lord Beerus has mastered Ultra Instinct—and now, there's you as well."

"And then there's your bodily instinct, the rules of destruction…"

rus calmly listed everything he had perceived.

Hearing this, Gran felt both pleased—and deeply unsettled.

This was their first eting.

rus had only glanced at him once, yet had already seen through everything.

Angels truly were terrifying beings.

"Relax."

As if reading Gran's thoughts, rus shook his head.

"At your current level, only angels can see through your foundations. If you don't deliberately reveal it, even Gods of Destruction will struggle to sense your power."
