Ti slipped by unnoticed.
Before anyone realized it, another year had passed, and it was now Age 754.
Only five years remained until the Candidate God of Destruction Battle.
Across the universes, preparations continued in a state of tense urgency.
So universes focused on teaching their candidate Gods of Destruction various martial paths.
Others went as far as secretly searching for those ancient beings…
Only Universe 7 showed no signs of tension at all.
Because no matter how anxious Beerus and the others felt, it was pointless.
Ever since Universe 7's candidate God of Destruction left Earth, he had yet to return to the Supre Kai Realm.
Supre Kai Realm
Buzz!
A sacred aura suddenly spread from the Old Supre Kai's body.
It was full, abundant, overflowing with vitality—
One glance was enough to tell that his condition had reached its absolute peak.
Behind the great tree, the Old Supre Kai slowly opened his eyes.
"Ancestor, you're awake!"
Shin had been waiting nearby the entire ti.
"Mm."
The Old Supre Kai slowly stood up. As he did, his joints cracked loudly, popping like beans in a pan.
Looking at him again, his once withered body had beco noticeably fuller and more robust.
"Ancestor… have you finished adjusting your condition?" Shin asked cautiously.
Ever since the Omni-King announced the Candidate God of Destruction Battle, the Old Supre Kai had begun adjusting his state.
Nearly five years had passed since then.
"I have."
The Old Supre Kai stretched his body, his eyes sharp and spirited.
"Has Gran still not returned?"
"No."
"What exactly is that brat trying to do?!"
With his hands clasped behind his back, the Old Supre Kai walked toward the lakeside—where Beerus and Whis were fishing.
"Lord Beerus—"
He had just begun to speak.
Beerus, staring intently at the fishing float, replied calmly:
"Lower your voice."
Old Supre Kai: "..."
The younger one leaves the Hyperbolic Ti Chamber and doesn't co back.
The older one doesn't worry at all—and is calmly fishing instead.
This master and disciple pair were truly impossible to worry about.
"Lord Beerus," the Old Supre Kai lowered his voice,
"I've finished adjusting my condition. I can develop Gran's potential at any ti."
"Whis."
Beerus glanced sideways at the angel beside him.
Whis nodded and checked his staff.
"Lord Beerus, Gran is currently in the Other World. He's also fishing by a lake."
Old Supre Kai: "..."
Truly worthy of being master and disciple—
Even their leisure activities were identical.
Hearing this, Beerus's mouth twitched slightly. He felt both speechless and… oddly pleased.
Worthy of being his disciple!
"Lord Beerus," the Old Supre Kai frowned,
"ti is running out. From the looks of it, Gran doesn't seem to have any intention of returning. Aren't you worried?"
"Worried?"
Beerus suddenly pulled his rod, reeling in a large fish.
"If he's not worried, why should I be?"
After securing the catch, he even had Whis preserve it carefully—planning to have Gran cook it once he returned.
"So you're just going to keep waiting like this?"
The Old Supre Kai sighed.
"If I'm to develop Gran's potential, it'll take several years at least. If we miss the Candidate God of Destruction Battle because of this, that would be disastrous!"
Beerus paused. He handed the fishing rod to Whis and stood up.
"Only Gran himself knows his condition. If his state isn't right, you wouldn't be able to develop his potential anyway."
"Being anxious won't help."
"And besides…"
Beerus walked away from the lake, his voice turning serious.
"I even suspect Gran doesn't need you to develop his potential anymore."
"?!"
The Old Supre Kai's eyes widened.
He understood what Beerus ant.
This skinny cat was saying that even without potential developnt, Gran might already be capable of handling the Candidate God of Destruction Battle!
"Really? Lord Beerus, do you know how strong Gran has beco?"
The Old Supre Kai asked excitedly.
"No. It's just a guess."
Beerus walked back toward the tree.
"My point is—don't rush. Gran wouldn't do anything without confidence. If he hasn't returned yet, then he has his reasons."
The Old Supre Kai followed behind him, nodding as he listened.
"That… does make sense."
"Alright, I'm going to rest. Don't disturb unless sothing—"
Just as Beerus lay back down on the grass and was about to close his eyes—
Suddenly!
"Lord Beerus!"
Whis, still fishing by the lake, called out.
Beerus instantly sprang up.
Ignoring ti and space, he appeared beside Whis in a flash.
"Whis! Is Gran coming back?!!!"
His anxious voice echoed across the lakeside.
Seeing this, the Old Supre Kai was utterly speechless.
Didn't you just tell not to be anxious?
The next second—
"Mr. Whis! Is Gran coming back?!!"
The Old Supre Kai sprinted over as well.
Beerus, the Old Supre Kai, Shin, and young Broly all gathered around Whis, staring at him with anticipation.
"Is Gran (Brother Gran) coming back?"
They all asked in unison.
Whis: "..."
After a brief silence, he shook his head.
"No."
"Then why did you call over?"
Beerus cursed and turned to leave.
Hearing that it wasn't Gran, the Old Supre Kai and the others also left the lakeside, faces full of disappointnt.
Watching their backs, Whis spoke calmly:
"Lord Beerus—my father has issued an order. All Gods of Destruction are to head to the World of Void imdiately."
The air turned deathly still.
The next instant—
Boom!
A colossal wave of shock surged through everyone's hearts.
"The Grand Priest summoned us to the World of Void?!"
Beerus rushed back to Whis, his voice trembling.
"Mr. Whis, did the Grand Priest say why?"
The Old Supre Kai returned as well, clearly unsettled.
It was too sudden.
There were still five years until the Candidate God of Destruction Battle.
Why would the Grand Priest summon all Gods of Destruction now?
It was impossible not to worry.
"Yes. My father has ordered all Gods of Destruction to gather in the World of Void."
Whis nodded.
"As for the reason—he didn't say."
