Gran's gaze caused the Grand Kai and the other four Kai to drop to their knees instantly, their bodies trembling uncontrollably.
Fear, panic, helplessness—
Every emotion surged through their hearts at once.
The Candidate God of Destruction was truly angry.
This was the end.
"Please calm your anger, Candidate God of Destruction!"
The five Kai pressed their bodies flat against the ground.
Gran seed not to hear their pleas. A surge of purple energy suddenly erupted from his body.
The power of destruction's laws manifested within the Otherworld, causing the entire realm to shake violently, as though the order of the underworld itself were on the verge of collapse!
"Truly… too much talk."
Gran's eyes were devoid of emotion as the purple radiance around him shot straight into the heavens.
Crash! Crash!
The power of destruction soared a hundred ters into the air before plunging downward.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Among the onlookers, the "ghosts" who had spoken recklessly monts ago instantly dissolved into countless points of starlight, scattering into the Sumī Realm.
Everything happened far too quickly.
By the ti the surrounding ghosts realized what had occurred, they had collapsed onto the ground, utterly terrified and stupefied.
Gran paid them no further attention. He walked over to the five Kai and said calmly,
"Get up."
"Yes!"
The five Kai rose at once, wiping the cold sweat from their faces.
Especially the Grand Kai—he had truly thought his planet would end up like North Kai's planet.
Fortunately, only a few reckless individuals had been destroyed.
Things could have been far worse.
"I'm taking a few of your fish back to feed Lord Beerus," Gran said with narrowed eyes.
"You don't mind, do you, Grand Kai?"
Feed Lord Beerus…?
Right—Lord Beerus was a cat. He would definitely like fish!
A chill shot from the Grand Kai's feet straight to the top of his head. He shook his head frantically.
"N-No, of course not! The entire universe belongs to you and Lord Beerus! If the Candidate God of Destruction wishes, even fishing this lake dry would be perfectly fine!"
"Mm."
Gran nodded in satisfaction.
After cultivating for over three hundred years in the Hyperbolic Ti Chamber—nearly driving himself insane—it was clear his own God of Destruction had been right.
Life shouldn't be nothing but cultivation.
After spending a year relaxing, the restlessness in his heart had finally eased.
"Alright. It's ti for to leave the Otherworld."
As he spoke, Gran turned his gaze toward North Kai.
"The promise I made you—have you used it yet?"
A promise?
The Grand Kai froze for a mont. He had no idea what had transpired between North Kai and the Candidate God of Destruction.
The East, South, and West Kai, however, knew very well.
Back when Bojack and the others appeared, North Kai had live-broadcast the entire event to them.
Because the Candidate God of Destruction had learned the Kaiō-ken and Spirit Bomb from North Kai, he had granted him a promise in return.
"No!"
North Kai stood with his hands stiffly at his sides, like a primary school student facing his horoom teacher—awkward and oddly endearing.
Gran suppressed a smile.
"Good. My promise will never expire."
With that, Gran vanished without a trace.
After a while—
Confirming that Gran had truly left the Otherworld, the Grand Kai stepped in front of North Kai, grabbed his shoulders, and asked curiously,
"Why would the Candidate God of Destruction give you a promise?"
"Well… it happened like this…"
North Kai recounted everything from back then. He had also realized sothing—
This promise must never be used unless absolutely necessary.
As long as it remained unused, he could maintain a lasting connection with the Candidate God of Destruction!
After hearing the explanation, the Grand Kai threw his head back and howled,
"North Kai, your luck is outrageous!"
...
Supre Kai Realm.
Whoosh!
Gran appeared behind Shin.
Counting the ti spent in the Hyperbolic Ti Chamber, he hadn't returned to the Supre Kai Realm in over three hundred years.
The scenery was still as beautiful as ever.
The disturbance alerted Shin. He set down the crystal ball, turned around—and his eyes widened when he saw Gran.
Shin imdiately shouted,
"Ancestor! Gran has returned!"
The Old Supre Kai wasn't beneath the great tree.
He was at the lake, imitating Beerus and Whis by fishing. Upon hearing Shin's shout, his heart skipped a beat.
Turning around, he saw that Gran had truly returned.
"You little brat! Staying away for so long—I thought you'd given up on having your potential unlocked!"
The Old Supre Kai rushed back at full speed, his face filled with delight.
"It was fine," Gran said with a chuckle, shaking his head.
"My timing was just right."
The Old Supre Kai didn't dwell on how long Gran had delayed. Instead, he asked eagerly,
"You trained for over three hundred years in the Ti Chamber—how strong are you now?"
Before entering the Hyperbolic Ti Chamber, Gran had only been a Candidate God of Destruction for fifteen years.
Yet in just those fifteen years, his power had already reached the first stage of the Divine Realm, and his martial arts had ascended to astonishing heights.
Now, after three hundred additional years of training, it was impossible not to be curious about his current strength.
Especially since Beerus had previously speculated that Gran might not even need his potential unlocked to handle that great battle.
"How strong?"
Gran paused, clearly not expecting the old man to ask that.
Resting his chin on his hand, he thought for a mont before shaking his head.
"That battle hasn't begun yet. I'll keep it confidential for now."
"Confidential?"
The eager light in the Old Supre Kai and Shin's eyes dimd instantly.
Still, Gran was right.
To prevent other universes from probing their strength, it was better to conceal his power.
"By the way, where are Lord Beerus and Whis?"
Gran scanned his surroundings. Neither of them was present.
Beerus had clearly said he'd wait here for his return—yet now, he was nowhere to be seen.
"You really don't know what happened?" the Old Supre Kai frowned.
"What happened? Did sothing go wrong?"
Gran's expression imdiately turned serious. The Old Supre Kai's tone gave him an ominous feeling.
"Don't worry," the Old Supre Kai waved his hand.
"Nothing happened. The Grand Priest summoned all Gods of Destruction to the World of Void."
The Old Supre Kai's words echoed through the quiet Supre Kai Realm.
Gran's brow furrowed even deeper.
"What's going on?"
"Don't ask . I don't know either," the Old Supre Kai shook his head.
Silence returned once more.
Gran's eyes shifted continuously as he pondered the Grand Priest's intentions.
Summoning the Gods of Destruction to the World of Void…
Was it like the Tournant of Power—building an arena?
But wasn't this far too early?
"Alright, don't overthink it. It should be fine."
The Old Supre Kai pressed Gran down onto the grass and said solemnly,
"Are you ready? I'm going to start unlocking your potential."
He had spent all this ti adjusting his state for this very mont!
As Gran fell into thought, the Old Supre Kai began hopping around him, performing a strange ritual dance.
Five hours later—
The Old Supre Kai sat down behind Gran, raising both hands into the air.
But the instant the potential-unlocking technique activated, the Old Supre Kai's pupils shrank violently.
"Your power…!!!"
