The World of Void.

"I will now announce the rules."

The Grand Priest stood at the very front of the viewing platform.

"There are no rules in this Candidate God of Destruction Battle Royale. Whoever remains standing on the arena at the very end will be the final victor."

His voice was calm.

But his words exploded like thunder in everyone's minds.

Especially that one rule—

No rules.

Which ant one thing:

Killing was permitted.

All the Supre Kais frowned.

If a Candidate God of Destruction were truly killed, it would inevitably enrage their respective God of Destruction. That kind of outco simply wasn't worth it.

The Gods of Destruction, however, couldn't care less.

These candidates were not their ideal successors anyway. They were tools—nothing more. Whether they lived or died made little difference.

But that skinny cat was different.

Anyone with eyes could tell Gran was Beerus's chosen successor.

And now

With no rules in place, this was the perfect opportunity to eliminate Gran.

If that happened, Beerus would suffer for a very long ti.

After all…

Gran possessed power at the Peak Divine Dinsion.

"Heh heh…"

The Gods of Destruction began to sneer.

They had endured countless insults from Beerus—and just monts ago, they had been mocked again by his candidate.

Let's see how he survives this.

Universe 7's Viewing Platform

Beerus had been carefully observing Quitela and the others.

He knew exactly what they were thinking.

He snorted.

"Gran. How many are you planning to kill this ti?"

"Not sure," Gran replied lazily. "Let's have so fun first."

"Fine. Do as you please."

Beerus's expression turned serious.

"You don't need to worry about the consequences of killing a candidate. I'll handle everything for you."

A warmth passed through Gran's heart.

This—

This was the security his God of Destruction gave him.

"Understood."

Gran rolled his wrists.

He hadn't fought in centuries.

His body felt almost… rusty.

Universe 6's Viewing Platform

"Hit, just stay behind Gran. This ti Universe 6 and Universe 7 are allies. Do not act on your own."

Champa repeated his warnings again and again.

Hit didn't speak.

He nodded firmly.

Even before stepping onto the arena, tension had already wrapped around him. His muscles were tight, nearly rigid.

Mainly because—

According to the Angels' descriptions, the opponents across from them were terrifying.

Hit inhaled deeply.

He glanced at Gran, who was still loosening his wrists.

This ti…

It all depended on him.

"If there are no further questions, the candidates may now enter the arena."

As the Grand Priest's voice fell—

All twelve candidates stepped forward.

Universe 1 — Golden Lion • Lambert

Universe 2 — Goddess of Love • Rosa

Universe 3 — Sli • Bellock

Universe 4 — Evil Wolf • Light

Universe 5 — Dried Corpse • Harry

Universe 6 — Assassin • Hit

Universe 7 — Saiyan • Gran

Universe 8 — Fox • Joel

Universe 9 — Blue Wolf • Bergamo

Universe 10 — Muscle Master • Primo

Universe 11 — Pride Warrior • Jiren

Universe 12 — Golden Sea Monster • Blair

The Grand Priest swept his gaze across them.

His eyes lingered briefly on Light of Universe 4.

Then he looked away.

"Lord Champa! Hit isn't wearing the Candidate God of Destruction uniform yet!"

From the stands, the Saiyan Roz spoke up urgently.

Among the twelve candidates, aside from Gran, none were wearing the God of Destruction attire.

It looked rather out of place.

This was a Candidate God of Destruction Battle Royale.

To the uninford, it might look like a gathering of rcenaries.

Though in truth—

That wasn't far from reality.

They had, after all, been recruited by their respective Gods of Destruction.

"Vados!"

Champa suddenly rembered and hurriedly called out.

Vados stood and flicked her staff.

In an instant, Hit's body was wrapped in attire nearly identical to Gran's.

Seeing this, the other Gods of Destruction followed suit.

What followed was practically a costu change competition.

Soon, every candidate was dressed in God of Destruction garb.

Much better.

"Lord Beerus, I'm heading in."

Gran leapt down toward the arena below.

Hit followed closely behind.

The others wasted no ti and jumped down as well.

"Lambert, you can do it!"

"Rosa, give it your all!"

Cheers erupted from the viewing platforms as Supre Kais and reserve candidates shouted encouragent.

"Beerus, I hope your candidate isn't too weak," Belmod sneered.

"Hahaha! If that brat gets eliminated first, that would be hilarious!" Liquiir laughed, clutching his stomach.

The other Gods of Destruction joined in the mockery.

Beerus didn't respond.

Why waste energy on incompetent fools who could only rage uselessly?

He shifted his gaze toward the arena.

And the mont he did—

His expression changed.

Originally, Hit had been descending beside Gran.

But midway through the descent—

Hit suddenly vanished.

He reappeared sowhere else on the arena entirely.

Since when did the arena have random teleportation?

Beerus snapped his head up toward the Grand Priest.

He had personally overseen the construction of this arena.

That function had not existed before.

Which ant—

Only one person could have done it.

The Grand Priest t Beerus's gaze.

A faint smile curved at his lips.

There may be two immunity slots from punishnt.

But if Beerus thought protecting his brother would be that easy—

He was mistaken.

"Not good!"

On Universe 7's platform, Vados's brows furrowed tightly.

"Lord Champa—not only are the starting positions randomized, but the arena itself forbids flight. Gran cannot fly. He cannot even use Instant Transmission."

"What?!"

Champa's face drained of color.

If that was the case, Gran wouldn't be able to reach Hit in ti.

The Supre Kai of Universe 6 trembled uncontrollably, clutching Champa's shoulder.

"Lord Champa! What do we do? Without Gran protecting him, Hit is dead for sure!"

"Shut up, you fat idiot!"

Champa shoved Fuwa aside and turned toward Beerus, his voice shaking.

"Brother, Hit's power is only at the Fourth Stage. The other candidates are practically at God of Destruction tier. What are we supposed to do?"

After watching Hit spar with Gran, Champa had realized sothing.

Hit's Ti-Skip had three weaknesses.

With the strength of those other candidates—

They would absolutely discover them.

"Damn it!"

Beerus clenched his fists.

Champa was his biological brother.

He didn't want to see him punished.

But this random teleportation—

It was the Grand Priest's doing.

What could he possibly do?

"Listen, you fat pig," Beerus growled.

"Right now, all we can do is trust Gran."

"Trust your candidate."
