Gran's words had naturally been heard by Whis, but considering that tonight's dinner tasted quite good, he decided to pretend nothing had happened.

Very quickly, the atmosphere inside the house changed drastically.

Gran and Broly began devouring the food on the table like whirlwinds.

Whis, on the other hand, remained extrely elegant. Every bite he took was slow and refined, chewing carefully. But the mont he finished what was in his mouth, his hand speed beca astonishing.

Even Gran and Broly couldn't stop Whis from snatching food off the table.

Ti passed bit by bit.

The dishes on the table grew fewer and fewer.

Son Goku had already stopped eating. It wasn't that he wasn't hungry—he simply couldn't compete with the three of them.

All he could do was sit there speechlessly, wondering if his big brother Gran had co here deliberately just to freeload a al.

At first, Chi-Chi had still harbored so doubts about Gran being Goku's fellow clansman, mainly because she hadn't seen a tail behind him.

But after witnessing Gran's appetite, she completely believed it.

Thankfully, she had prepared plenty of food this ti. Otherwise, it definitely wouldn't have been enough for this group.

Two hours later—

Everyone finally put down their chopsticks.

Gran smiled.

"Whis, so? Not bad, right?"

Whis gracefully wiped the oil from the corner of his mouth with a napkin and nodded in satisfaction.

"Mrs. Chi-Chi's cooking is truly excellent. I never expected even a creature like a dinosaur could be prepared so deliciously."

Chi-Chi didn't react imdiately.

Sitting beside her, Bulma nudged her shoulder and said seriously,

"This gentleman is the strongest being in the universe. He's praising you."

"Ah?!"

Chi-Chi's eyes widened.

The strongest in the universe? What level of powerhouse was that supposed to be?

Unlike her reaction, Son Goku looked extrely excited.

"Big Brother Gran, this gentleman really is the strongest in the universe?"

Seeing Goku's eager expression, Gran imdiately knew what he was thinking.

This guy definitely wanted to spar with Whis again.

"Mm."

Gran nodded, then turned toward Bulma.

"Explain the matters of the universe's gods to him."

The al was over.

Now it was ti to begin the next step of his plan.

"Gran is so annoying. Can't you explain it yourself?"

Bulma puffed her cheeks slightly.

But because of Gran's request, she eventually began explaining the structure of the universe's divine hierarchy to Goku and Chi-Chi.

Supre Kais.

Candidate Gods of Destruction.

Gods of Destruction.

Angels.

These were all things Bulma had learned from Whis, and she explained them one by one.

After hearing everything, Goku and Chi-Chi stared with wide eyes.

Seeing the protagonist of Dragon Ball make such an expression, the corners of Gran's mouth lifted slightly.

Why did that feel strangely satisfying?

After a while, Goku finally ca back to his senses.

"Big Brother Gran… you're really one of those Candidate Gods of Destruction?"

"Yes."

"My goodness! I never knew there were so many divine powerhouses in this world!"

The shock on Goku's face quickly transford.

From astonishnt—

To burning excitent.

His body even began trembling.

"You idiot…"

Gran couldn't help but laugh.

You're already fired up?

Do you even realize you can't beat any of these gods right now?

But then again…

Fearless before powerful enemies.

Neither arrogant nor servile.

Never giving up.

Always optimistic…

That was exactly the personality of the Dragon Ball protagonist.

"Why do I feel like Gran is acting a bit strange?"

Bulma watched the smile on Gran's face and couldn't help wondering if he had deliberately co here just to show off his divine identity.

Even Whis felt sowhat puzzled.

He roughly guessed that Gran had co here because of Goku's son, but he couldn't figure out what Gran truly intended to do.

At that mont—

Gran suddenly stood up.

He walked over to Chi-Chi.

A small cradle sat beside her, with little Gohan lying inside.

Gran gently picked Gohan up and asked,

"Chi-Chi, what do you plan for Gohan's future?"

"Ah?!"

Chi-Chi quickly stood up and bowed slightly.

"Lord Gran—"

Before she could finish, Gran interrupted her.

"There's no need to be so formal. Just call Big Brother Gran, like Kakarot does."

"Yes."

Chi-Chi didn't question Gran's identity much. After all, she had already witnessed his ability to shatter the sky itself.

Seeing that Gran was still so approachable, she relaxed a little and spoke gently.

"The world is peaceful now. I plan to raise Gohan to beco a famous scholar."

When she spoke about becoming a scholar, Chi-Chi's eyes sparkled with expectation.

The room suddenly fell silent.

Everyone stared at her with strange expressions.

Especially Whis.

At first, he thought Goku had been joking.

But now he realized—

The child's mother truly had that intention.

At that mont, Whis seed to understand why Gran had co here.

"So he intends to change Mrs. Chi-Chi's thinking," Whis murmured inwardly.

anwhile, Bulma said anxiously,

"Chi-Chi! Goku defeated the Demon King Piccolo and beca Earth's hero. Shouldn't his son be trained into an outstanding martial artist?"

Chi-Chi didn't get angry. She calmly explained,

"But the Demon King Piccolo has already been defeated. Earth has returned to peace. From now on, it will be the era of scholars, so I don't think martial arts training is necessary."

(PS: This line was originally said by Chi-Chi in the ani.)

"Who says Earth is peaceful now—"

Bulma wanted to argue further.

Gran, still holding little Gohan, walked over to Chi-Chi and said calmly,

"Earth may be peaceful for now… but what about the crises in the universe?"

"Big Brother Gran, aren't you a Candidate God of Destruction? If there were cosmic dangers, you wouldn't just ignore them, right?"

From Chi-Chi's tone, it was clear that her decision had not changed at all.

"Yes, I am indeed a god."

Gran's eyes suddenly turned cold.

"But why should I care about those crises?"

A faint divine authority spread from his body.

Cold. Detached. Emotionless.

Like a lofty god looking down upon all living beings.

Thump!

Thump!

Thump!

The hearts of Chi-Chi, Son Goku, Broly, and Bulma began pounding wildly.

So… terrifying.
