Elsewhere.
Gran returned to his "owner's" house and walked straight into the dining hall.
The mont he arrived, the chefs hurriedly began serving dish after dish. Gran ate with great relish, clearly in high spirits judging from the satisfaction on his face.
At the side, Beerus and Whis exchanged a glance, both spotting the sa confusion in each other's eyes.
What did this guy go off and do this ti?
"Lord Beerus, why haven't I seen Bulma lately?" Gran asked, setting down his utensils.
Beerus rolled his eyes. "You and she have both been running around these past few days—how would I know what you've been up to?"
Gran then turned to Whis.
Whis shook his head calmly. "Don't ask . Aside from food, I have no interest in anything else."
Gran's mouth twitched. He said nothing further and simply went back to eating.
That night passed quietly.
The next morning, Gran borrowed two sets of gravity suits from Whis. Whis didn't ask any questions—he simply tossed them over.
Back at the riverside in the forest.
Gran stood by the water and casually tossed the two suits onto the ground.
"Put them on."
Piccolo frowned. "What are these?"
"If I tell you to wear them, then wear them. Less talking."
At those words, Piccolo didn't dare hesitate. He quickly picked one up and helped Gohan into it.
After dressing Gohan, Piccolo removed his own white cloak and changed into the other gravity suit.
Despite their bulky appearance, the suits adjusted perfectly to each wearer's size—whether it was Gohan's small fra or Piccolo's taller build.
"These are gravity suits," Gran explained. "They automatically adjust the gravity level to match the limit your bodies can endure. They also have healing functions, so you don't need to worry about injuries."
He looked at the two of them.
"Your martial foundations are actually quite weak. But since there are only a little over two months left before the Saiyans arrive, we'll focus on boosting your raw strength first."
"Yes!"
Both of them answered at once.
"Oh, and before training begins, I'll apply a special kind of pressure. Prepare yourselves ntally."
Piccolo's heart skipped a beat. "What kind of pressure…?"
Even Gohan shivered instinctively.
Gran grinned faintly.
"Divine pressure."
He rembered how Piccolo had reacted in the Buu Saga when he first encountered Shin—his face had practically turned green.
Let's see if he reacts the sa way now.
And then...
BOOM!
A controlled surge of divine pressure erupted from Gran's body—
Like a higher-dinsional being awakening.
Thud! Thud!
Already burdened by the gravity suits, Piccolo and Gohan were instantly forced to their knees under the crushing weight.
"Th-This… this is divine pressure?! H-how terrifying!"
Cold sweat poured down Piccolo's face. His teeth chattered uncontrollably, his complexion turning greenish-blue.
Gran chuckled inwardly.
Just like in the ani.
"The gravity suits will temper your bodies," Gran said calmly. "Divine pressure will temper your will."
"I'll lay out a training plan for you. Follow it strictly for two months. With this dual refinent, you should see significant improvent."
He stopped fooling around and began explaining the training thods.
Push-ups. Squats. Punch drills. Sweep kicks…
Simple, almost primitive exercises—but strength was built through exactly this kind of straightforward repetition.
After all, this was how he himself had trained when he was young.
As Whis once said:
The simpler the training, the greater the results.
"Yes…"
Piccolo and Gohan's legs trembled violently, like sieves rattling nonstop.
The burden from the gravity suits alone was overwhelming—combined with the divine pressure, they could barely even move normally.
Gran had already carefully controlled the intensity, so he didn't interfere further.
Instead, he casually returned to fishing by the river.
anwhile, Piccolo and Gohan struggled just to adapt to the crushing load.
Day One
They could only crawl forward like turtles. Even moving a thousand ters was nearly impossible, let alone completing the training regin.
Day Two
They improved significantly. Walking beca possible, and they could perform a few of the exercises.
Day Three…
Ti flew.
Two months passed in the blink of an eye.
In the forest.
BOOM!
BOOM!
Two powerful auras erupted simultaneously, their force crushing the surrounding trees into dust.
"Alright, stop."
"Yes!"
The energy quickly subsided.
Gran glanced at the devastated surroundings and casually waved his hand. A faint ripple of ti power spread outward—
And everything returned to its original state, as if nothing had happened.
"Uncle Gran, you're amazing!" Gohan clapped excitedly.
Piccolo, anwhile, stood frozen in shock.
"Th-That… what kind of power is this?"
This divine being… is terrifying beyond belief.
"Alright," Gran said, not bothering to explain. "Two months have passed. In a few days, those three Saiyans will arrive on Earth. Prepare yourselves."
"Lord Gran!"
Seeing that Gran seed ready to leave, Piccolo quickly called out.
"What is it?"
Piccolo clenched his fists slightly. "What level has my power reached now?"
"And ! Uncle Gran, how strong am I now?" Gohan asked eagerly. At four years old, he was already much more composed than before.
Gran examined them briefly before answering:
"Gohan, your power level should be around 500,000."
Hearing that number, Gohan counted on his fingers again—
And then his face fell, lips puffing in disappointnt.
"So… I'm still this weak…?"
