When Nappa saw Gran, his eyes widened.
He noticed Gran's hair had changed color — what in the world had happened?
Raditz, on the other hand, was trembling so hard his teeth chattered. His forehead was slick with cold sweat; he didn't even have the courage to notice Gran's hair color.
Gran ignored the two of them. Instead, he raised his head and looked toward the slowly descending spaceship, muttering under his breath:
"Ginyu Force? What are they doing here?"
"I haven't even asked you yet—what are you doing here?" Beerus shot him a glare. He'd been planning to return to the Realm of Destruction as soon as possible to give this little brat a proper lesson.
"I ca here mainly to mock Vegeta," Gran replied casually, smirking. "I wanted to ask how it feels watching turn into a Super Saiyan."
That was Gran all over — he didn't just strike at your body; he struck at your pride.
And he never missed a chance to twist the knife.
Ignoring the Ginyu Force above, Gran casually lifted his foot and gave Vegeta's body two more kicks.
Still no reaction.
Was he really dead?
Raditz and Nappa, crushed beneath the rubble, overheard Gran's conversation with the purple cat-like being — and their hearts nearly stopped.
"Super… Saiyan?!"
They couldn't believe their ears.
That golden-haired form… Could it truly be the legendary Super Saiyan?
No wonder!
No wonder Gran's power had skyrocketed to such terrifying levels.
Their minds roared like crashing waves, utterly shaken.
"Well, since you ca here for revenge," Beerus said impatiently, "hurry up and do it. Kill Vegeta, and let's go ho."
"Kill him, huh?"
Gran fell silent for a mont, then a strange smile curved his lips.
"Just killing him… would be letting him off too easily."
Though he didn't say it outright, a chilling killing intent erupted from him.
"...!"
Beerus and Whis exchanged a glance — the murderous aura this kid gave off was intense.
But then again…
The two deities shared a knowing look.
After all, a God of Destruction didn't just embody destruction — they also governed annihilation.
A candidate who could feel such intent was a true future God of Destruction.
"Shin, get over here!" Gran suddenly shouted toward the distance.
Beerus narrowed his eyes. He'd already sensed the presence of the current Supre Kai.
So it was finally ti for them to et, huh?
A flash of light — whoosh!
The Supre Kai, Shin, and his attendant Kibito appeared instantly at Gran's side.
The mont the God of Destruction and the Supre Kai — beings of divine dinsions — t face-to-face...
Hum!
A strange resonance rippled through the air.
One ruled destruction, the other creation — two opposing yet complentary forces.
The resulting wave spread across the entire Seventh Universe.
"You… You're the legendary God of Destruction?" Shin stamred.
He had sensed the mont Beerus descended that the being's presence was beyond mortal comprehension.
But still…
Was this scrawny cat really the fearso deity Gran spoke of?
"Kid," Beerus said coldly, his eyes narrowing, "didn't Gran teach you how to address a God of Destruction properly? You will call them 'Lord.'"
The divine pressure radiating from Beerus instantly turned the air frigid.
Shin's heart plumted into an icy abyss, and he bowed hurriedly.
"M–My apologies! It's an honor to et you, Lord Beerus!"
That was one of Gran's first lessons to him: The fist of a God of Destruction is very persuasive — best to use the proper honorifics.
Gran looked quite pleased. After all, this was the Supre Kai he'd personally trained for a whole year.
He shot Beerus a smug glance.
Beerus rolled his eyes, then gave Shin a dismissive snort.
"Hmph. You pass."
Shin exhaled in relief and straightened up. The scrawny feline still radiated an overwhelming sense of danger — clearly, he wasn't one to trifle with.
"Shin, give a Senzu Bean," Gran said, stretching out his hand.
"What do you need a Senzu Bean for?" Shin frowned. "You're not even injured!"
Ever since learning the true value of the Senzu Beans, he'd beco quite the miser — even toward Gran, their rightful owner.
"Less talk. Hand it over."
Shin grimaced. "You're not going to waste one of these precious beans, are you?"
Still, with obvious reluctance, he opened a pocket of subspace and pulled out a single bean.
"..."
Gran sighed inwardly. Seriously? Those beans are mine to begin with!
But then again… he couldn't help comparing Shin to Yajirobe.
Even this stingy Kai understood how precious they were — why didn't Yajirobe ever get it?
Well, not that it mattered now — all the Senzu Beans belonged to him anyway.
Taking the bean, Gran walked toward Vegeta's unconscious body.
Whis watched closely, his expression growing grave.
He'd seen this kind of bean before — on the projections from Nak.
Gran had once asked the Nakian Dragon to create them.
According to Gran, as long as a person wasn't completely dead, one bite of this bean could instantly restore them to full strength.
To think such a thing existed — it rivaled, no, even surpassed the healing magic of angels.
After all, an angel had to descend personally to heal soone.
But this?
Just swallow it, and you're good as new.
Terrifying, in its own right.
"Was it transferred from Earth?" Whis murmured, furrowing his brow in thought.
anwhile, Gran knelt beside Vegeta. He pinched the bean between his fingers and slapped Vegeta lightly on the cheek, smirking.
"I know you can still hear ," he said softly. "When you left on that dying planet, I felt the sa despair you're feeling now."
"How does it feel? Helpless? Powerless?"
He smacked Vegeta's face twice more — the sensation was deliciously satisfying.
"You know what this little bean does, don't you?" Gran dangled it in front of him with mock sympathy. "It's called a Senzu Bean. Eat it, and you'll recover instantly."
At the words "recover instantly," Vegeta's body twitched ever so slightly.
Gran's eyes glead. Just as I thought — still conscious.
Good.
That makes this ga even better.
"Lord Beerus, if you would, suppress your divine pressure," Gran said.
"What are you planning now?" Beerus asked, annoyed — but complied.
As the oppressive aura faded, Kibito gasped for air, finally able to breathe.
Raditz and Nappa shakily got to their feet as well.
"Raditz, co here," Gran called.
"G–Gran, please don't kill !" Raditz babbled. "It was all Vegeta's idea to abandon you! I tried to stop him! Kill him, not !"
"Shut it. Get over here." Gran's tone turned icy.
Despite every instinct screaming at him to run, Raditz didn't dare disobey.
He approached timidly.
"You heard what this bean can do, right?" Gran said, tossing him a quarter of the Senzu Bean.
No need to waste a whole one.
Raditz caught it, blinking in confusion. "Why are you giving this to …?"
"Simple," Gran said, holding up two fingers. "You have two choices."
"First," he continued, his voice dripping with mock sweetness, "you keep the bean for yourself — and abandon Vegeta."
"Second, you use it to save him."
Then, his expression darkened.
"But think carefully — you know how valuable this bean is. Keep it, and it might save your life one day."
"And rember, Vegeta's thought about abandoning you plenty of tis before. You know that. So tell — are you still going to save him?"
Raditz froze, speechless.
He never imagined Gran would corner him like this.
Off to the side, Beerus, Whis, Shin, and Kibito all felt a chill run down their spines.
Cruel.
Absolutely brutal.
The ultimate form of revenge wasn't to destroy hope — it was to give hope, then shatter it to dust.
And that's exactly what Gran was doing.
Two choices.
For Vegeta, one ant despair — the other, a faint glimr of hope.
But that hope was fragile… almost nonexistent.
Gran had just reminded everyone that Vegeta had repeatedly betrayed Raditz.
So, would a cold-blooded Saiyan really act with rcy?
Unlikely.
But even so — Vegeta couldn't help but cling to that tiny, desperate hope.
That was true tornt.
That was revenge at its finest.
"Hahaha! Vegeta, this is what it feels like to be you — to be abandoned by your own comrade!"
Gran laughed, rising to his feet.
"Let them choose for themselves," he said to Whis. "We're done here. Let's go — back to the Realm of Destruction."
"Understood."
Whis smiled faintly, his eyes gleaming with aning.
Then, with a flick of his staff, he, Gran, Beerus, and Shin soared into the sky and vanished.
