Gran's voice was no longer the soft, childish tone from years ago. As soon as he spoke, he raised his leg and swept out horizontally.
That kick carried a terrifying power—strong enough that even the air quivered around him.
"Good! Let see whether your skills have regressed over these eight years!"
Already on guard, Beerus retreated two steps and narrowly dodged the strike.
But Gran's assault didn't end there. In the next instant, he turned into a streak of silver light and entangled himself with Beerus once more.

Beerus blocked one of Gran's heavy punches. With his right hand, he conjured an energy sphere and thrust it directly toward Gran's face.
It was too fast—had Gran tried reacting consciously, his handso face would have been blown clean off.
But the embryonic state of Ultra Instinct allowed his body to dodge on pure instinct.

The energy sphere shot past him and slamd into a distant mountain range.
The entire range vaporized instantly.
"Not bad, not bad! Even after eight years, from just these few exchanges alone, I can tell your combat sense hasn't dulled!"
Beerus grew even more fired up and launched another punch.
Gran t him fist to fist.

The force of the impact seed strong enough to tear the world apart.
"Lord Beerus, how strong am I now?" Gran asked as he disengaged and retreated quickly.
"Combat power? You're a god now—the mortal system of combat power can't asure you anymore!" Beerus chased after him.
"Then… what level is my strength currently?" Gran's mind wavered for a mont.
"You've reached Divine Realm – First Tier."
The mont Beerus noticed Gran spacing out mid-battle, he vanished from sight.
"Crap!"
Gran sensed the strike coming from behind, but he was a split-second too slow.
The blow sent stars bursting behind his eyes.
Fortunately, Beerus didn't follow up.
"Again!"
Gran steadied himself—the Saiyan blood in his body was already boiling.
"As you wish!"
After eight years apart, Beerus had missed this little brat more than he admitted.
He clashed with Gran once more.
The battlefield expanded rapidly as the two grew more and more exhilarated.

Luckily, this was Beerus's realm—and Beerus himself stood right there.
"This kid… gets flustered so easily. How ridiculous."
Beerus clicked his tongue and lifted a single finger.
"Destruction."
A speck of purple light sank into the massive sphere
and it dissolved into scattered stardust in an instant.

The final grain of sand fell in Whis's hourglass. He imdiately waved his staff.
Ti Reversal.
The God of Destruction Realm returned to its original, unscathed state.
Gran stopped attacking and landed beside Beerus and Whis.
None of the three spoke.
They simply looked at one another.
"Lord Beerus… Whis… It's been a long ti," Gran murmured, his nose slightly sour.
"Eight years already. You've grown so much."
Seeing Gran again filled Beerus with countless emotions.
He reflexively reached out to rub the boy's head—but halfway through, he withdrew.
The little brat had grown up.
"You've gotten taller, sure… but compared to other Saiyans, you're still a bit on the lean side."
Whis couldn't resist poking Gran's chest muscles.
The mischievous gesture made Gran laugh for the first ti in years.
After all—Whis had always been like this.
"Lean, huh?"
Gran looked at his streamlined physique, then glanced at Beerus—skinny as a twig—and couldn't resist teasing:
"Well, compared to Lord Beerus, I'd say I'm still the more muscular one."

Beerus's face darkened instantly.
Whis doubled over laughing, clutching his stomach.
At the lakeside stood three figures:
one sulking, one laughing wildly, and one smiling faintly.
Their reunion was warm—almost nostalgic.
After spending a mont quietly with them, Gran finally took a deep breath and said:
"Lord Beerus, Whis… my dinsion has finally broken through to the Divine Tier."
