In the heart of West City, Akira stood in a heavy silence, his gaze sweeping over the charred remains of a district that had been razed to the ground in a heartbeat. This wasn't a scene he was seeing for the first ti, yet it felt terrifyingly different.
In his past life, he had watched these events unfold on a screen, separated by the safety of another dinsion. Now, as a transmigrator living within the Dragon Ball World, the shock was visceral. The video he had projected wasn't just a collection of mories; it was a window into a brutal reality he now inhabited.
Akira knew this was only the beginning. The history of this world was written in the blood of the weak—from the bio-terror of Cell absorbing helpless citizens to the absolute erasure of humanity by Majin Buu. Even the grand stage of the Tournant of Power placed the survival of an entire universe on the shoulders of a few.
Akira's tactical mind raced; he refused to be re collateral damage. To seize his destiny and stand among the top-tier experts, he had to win the video network's transformation event. Power was the only currency that mattered here.
Back in the video, the tension reached a breaking point. Android 20 stood defiantly before Son Goku, revealing his true identity as the mastermind Dr. Gero. Having converted his own body into a chanical shell, he unleashed Android 19 to do his bidding. Gero was suprely confident; he had spent years clandestinely monitoring Goku's combat data, uploading every movent and technique into 19's mory banks. In his mind, Goku's defeat was a mathematical certainty.
However, Gero had made a fatal oversight: his data collection had ceased before the battle on Planet Nak. He was utterly blindsided when Goku let out a guttural roar, his hair flashing into a radiant gold. As a Super Saiyan, Goku's Ki was overwhelming. Despite Android 19's ability to drain energy through the spheres in its palms, Goku's raw power and speed suppressed the machine effortlessly.
But the tide turned with cruel suddenness. The golden aura flickered and died as Goku collapsed, clutching his chest in agony. The viral heart disease Trunks had warned of had finally struck. Gohan's voice cracked with worry as he explained to Piccolo that his father, feeling healthy for years, had neglected to take the special dicine.
As Goku was carried away by Yamcha to the safety of Mount Paozu, the remaining warriors—Piccolo, Tien Shinhan, and the others—were left to face the chanical threat. They were brave, but their power levels paled in comparison to the Androids.
Just as hope seed to vanish, a silhouette descended, wreathed in a magnificent, jagged golden light. It was Vegeta—and he had finally achieved the legendary Super Saiyan transformation.
"Super Saiyan! I've finally done it! I have reached the pinnacle of my race!" In the present, the watching Vegeta erupted with pure, unadulterated joy. The fear of being forever eclipsed by Kakarot vanished. He was certain that as a Super Saiyan, his royal blood would make him the superior warrior. He watched the screen intently, eager to see the mont of his own triumph.
In the video, the Z-Warriors were stunned. Vegeta explained that his breakthrough hadn't co from peace, but from a void of absolute rage. For three years, he had pushed his body to the limit in the vacuum of space. The sha of being surpassed by a "low-class warrior" like Kakarot had ignited a fire in his soul so intense that it forced his Ki to evolve.
The battle that followed was a one-sided slaughter. Unlike the ailing Goku, Vegeta was in peak condition. He toyed with Android 19, even mocking the machine by letting it drain so of his energy just to prove how vast his reserves were. The fight ended in a spectacular display of power as Vegeta unleashed a Big Bang Attack, vaporizing 19 and leaving nothing but a severed head rolling in the dirt.
Terrified by Vegeta's newfound cruelty and strength, Dr. Gero fled toward the mountains. Because the Androids possessed no Ki, the warriors couldn't track him through traditional ans. Bulma, however, provided a crucial lead: Gero's secret laboratory was hidden deep within a northern valley. As the group split up—Gohan taking Bulma and baby Trunks to safety while the others gave chase—Future Trunks arrived in his ti machine. His heart sank the mont he saw 19's remains. These weren't the Androids from his tiline. The past had already changed too much.
When the warriors finally cornered Dr. Gero, the doctor played his final card. He scread that if he reached his lab, he would awaken two more Androids—beings far more lethal than 19. Fueled by his skyrocketing power and Saiyan arrogance, Vegeta did the unthinkable. He stood aside, actively preventing Trunks from intervening, and allowed Gero to escape just so he could test his strength against a "true" challenge.
"Alright, I see where this is going," comnted Duanmu Yan, the Armor Summoner, across the Multiverse chat. "Vegeta is going to get humbled, and then Goku will return to the battlefield once his heart is healed. That's when we'll see Super Saiyan 2."
Many viewers agreed, nodding at the predictable arrogance of the Saiyan Prince. In the Pirate World, Garp let out a huff. "That Vegeta is as reckless as they co. If he'd finished the old man then and there, the world would be safe."
Zhang Chulan added with a smirk, "In a way, you could say Vegeta is the one who 'invented' Super Saiyan 2. If he hadn't been so obsessed with showing off, the enemies wouldn't have been strong enough to force the next transformation!"
