"Aaahhh!"
Son Goku and Vegeta let out one agonized scream after another.
At that mont, their hands were trembling uncontrollably. Even though the pillar of Destruction Energy was still so distance away, the pain it caused them was already unbearable.
It was hard to imagine what would happen if the energy struck their bodies directly.
"D-damn… it!! Ka… Kakarot!! Stop letting your hands shake!" Vegeta roared at Son Goku in pain.
Goku could no longer open his eyes, yet he could clearly feel Vegeta's body trembling uncontrollably.
Both of them were already on the brink of total exhaustion.
Goku muttered, "Vegeta… even your voice is shaking…"
Right after he spoke, Goku's body began to spasm, and his consciousness started to grow hazy.
"Pull yourself together, Kakarot!" Vegeta bellowed.
The Destruction Energy was getting closer, and Goku was standing in front of Vegeta. This ant the energy was even nearer to Goku.
He was taking far more damage than Vegeta, which was the main reason he was nearly done for.
Watching Goku, who was monts away from being devoured by the energy, Vegeta stubbornly forced himself to endure the pain, pushing his body to stay upright.
But he realized that the Destruction Energy was simply too overwhelming. His hands were still shaking. If he let go now, Goku would surely die. Being destroyed ant disappearing completely.
Goku opened his blurry eyes, glanced at Vegeta, and whispered apologetically, "Sorry… Vegeta… I'm out of strength… I'll leave the rest to you…"
The mont he finished speaking, Goku collapsed.
But in the next second, Vegeta, standing only 165 cm tall, seed incomparably towering.
Without hesitation, he stepped in front of Goku. He shouted, "Stand up, Kakarot! You can't die! We still haven't settled who's stronger!"
In an instant, Vegeta's trembling hands stopped.
He chose to carry Goku's share of the burden as well.
Using the last scraps of strength he had, he maintained the Final Flash. But the next mont, the Final Flash in his hands was instantly devoured by the Destruction Energy.
And then, his hands made direct, intimate contact with the destructive force.
"AAAHHH!!!"
A harrowing scream rang out, echoing endlessly.
"Daddy!" Below them, Bulla had already burst into tears, sobbing her heart out.
The next instant, she leapt into the air, flying toward Vegeta.
Son Goten took off behind her. Only Gohan remained on the ground, his face dark and frozen. anwhile, Super Mini Cell and Piccolo could no longer hold back.
Piccolo set Pan down, gave her a quick warning, and charged forward imdiately.
Suddenly, a thunderous roar stopped them all: "Don't co any closer! YOU'LL DIE!"
Vegeta's warning shook the heavens. They didn't know when it had happened, but Vegeta's hands were already deep in the Destruction Energy.
He could no longer feel them. The mont his hands touched the Destruction Energy, they began to disappear.
Everyone stared, their eyes filled with terror and shock. Vegeta's hands were peeling away, fragnt by fragnt.
Perhaps because it was too sudden, or for so unknown reason, Vegeta wasn't feeling much pain anymore. His eyes widened as he stared at his disappearing hands, as if he had suddenly realized sothing.
Beerus wasn't lying:
Anything destroyed will completely disappear from this world.
At that mont, however, Vegeta made a heart-stirring decision. His eyes burning with fury, he glared at Beerus, who was standing in the distance with his hands behind his back.
The next second, he kicked Son Goku away.
A final glimr of light shone from his body. Vegeta intended to let his life bloom one last ti through self-destruction.
He planned to drag Beerus down with him, even if he died.
With that determination, he began frantically gathering and absorbing energy.
Very quickly, every cell in his body was squeezed dry.
But he wasn't satisfied.
Suddenly, sothing happened that even Vegeta himself didn't expect.
His body began moving against his brain's control. Rather than saying his body controlled his brain, it was more accurate to say that Vegeta's instincts and will took over, pushing his body to absorb Beerus's Destruction Energy.
Then sothing unbelievable occurred, and it was so shocking that even Beerus and Whis froze. The Destruction Energy resonated with Vegeta's inner energy as if willingly diving into and rging with his body.
Sothing even more astonishing happened: Vegeta's vanished hands grew back.
It was impossible and utterly unthinkable.
No one had ever seen such a bizarre phenonon before.
Beerus raised an eyebrow as a thought crept into his mind. He murmured, "Interesting."
Below, Whis tilted his head slightly and watched Vegeta with growing curiosity.
"Absorbing destruction, hmm?" This is a first. Perhaps this Vegeta fellow really does have the potential to beco a God of Destruction."
But the mont he finished speaking, Vegeta's body abruptly stopped absorbing the destruction.
He was hit by severe backlash, having just recovered, he imdiately fell unconscious. At the sa ti, the remaining Destruction Energy surged wildly again and beca unstoppable once more.
Goku and Vegeta once again fell into a hopeless, inescapable predicant. Bulla and the others could no longer sit still. They flew desperately toward the two of them.
However, the overwhelming Destruction Energy prevented them from getting close. Bulla cried out again, her tears flowing uncontrollably.
At that mont, she thought of another loved one.
"Brother...where are you? Please save Daddy..."
Her voice was filled with complete helplessness.
Just then, soone with a darkened expression finally erupted from behind her.
Gohan's eyes nearly burst at the corners. He suddenly raised his head, his forehead veins bulging. His pupils widened and locked onto Goku and Vegeta, who were about to be consud by the Destruction Energy.
One was his father.
The other was his uncle, who had fought alongside him through life and death. Now, both were about to be killed by a so-called god.
The true culprit... was that creature called the God of Destruction. This devil even dared to target his precious daughter and his beloved Uncle Piccolo.
Gohan's rage reached its threshold... a level he had never reached before.
His fury roared within his chest like boiling water.
"BEERUS!!! STOP RIGHT THERE!!!"
The mont the words left his mouth, the world seed to freeze and everything dimd out of existence.
This was Gohan's stage now.
A beast-like aura erupted from his body and swept across the air.
