At that mont, both warriors had unleashed their full power.
From the sidelines, Piccolo watched with beads of sweat running down his face. He'd thought Goku's Super Saiyan 3 Kahaha would be enough to take Janemba down.
But he hadn't expected this.
Janemba transford, his body shifting, becoming even more nacing, and Goku's fighting spirit reignited with a flash of golden fla.
Dozens of afterimages blurred across the battlefield as Goku vanished and reappeared with lightning speed. His fingers clenched tight, energy surging into his fist as he launched a high-speed punch.
Piccolo could barely track the movent. The punch connected, slamming straight into Janemba.
But what happened next left him stunned.
Janemba didn't even try to dodge. His glowing red eyes locked onto Goku's, as if he'd wanted to be hit.
In the very next instant, Janemba struck back.
His counterpunch was faster, far faster, and packed even more force than Goku's blow.
Thankfully, Goku's instincts kicked in. He leaned back just in ti, flipping midair and using the montum to launch a double kick at Janemba's face.
But sothing strange happened.
Goku's feet passed through Janemba's head, as though he were striking smoke.
His body tensed. He looked down, shocked, to see Janemba's face breaking apart into crimson cubes… and then reforming a mont later.
"Janemba…" Goku muttered, his voice tinged with disbelief. The na now carried a mocking chill.
This bizarre technique had thrown him completely off. With no other option, Goku leapt back, putting distance between them again.
He cupped his hands and rapidly gathered energy, forming two gleaming orbs of ki. With a shout, he brought them together overhead, hurling the fused blast straight at Janemba.
The attack spiraled through the air, twisting and glowing brighter as Goku poured more energy into it.
This was it. He ant to finish it with one shot.
But Janemba didn't even blink.
He raised his hands to his chest. A white, swirling portal opened in front of him, like a hole torn through space, and swallowed the energy blast whole.
There was no impact or any explosion.
Piccolo's eyes widened. "What the hell?!"
The white hole silently reappeared behind Goku, and a sudden dread ran down Piccolo's spine as he shouted. "Goku! Behind you!"
Goku whipped around, but it was too late. The energy sphere, his own attack, shot out of the hole like a cannonball.
It was too fast. Too close. Even with Goku's reflexes, there was no ti to react.
BOOM!
The blast engulfed him in blinding light. Screams of pain echoed through the air. Goku was struck by his own technique and was devastated by it.
But Janemba wasn't done.
Without warning, he summoned a gleaming sword, twisting energy condensed into a jagged, obsidian blade, and pointed it straight at Goku.
Still reeling from the blast, Goku had no ti to counter, and all he could do was dodge. A deadly ga of cat and mouse began, but this ti, Goku was the prey, with no advantage.
From the sidelines, Piccolo's heart pounded.
"Damn it! This guy's unreal… even Goku's getting pushed back!" Piccolo gritted his teeth. The situation was spiraling fast. Goku was on the ropes.
Then, like a lightning bolt, an idea struck him.
"The Fusion technique! The tamoran fusion might be our only chance!"
Just as he was about to call out to Goku, his words froze in his throat.
[No way! I'm nowhere near Goku's level. Even if we fuse, it won't be enough. And I'm a Nakian! If I fused with him, I might not even be able to beco a Super Saiyan!]
Piccolo clenched his teeth in frustration, hating his own helplessness. At such a critical mont, when life and death hung in the balance, he was powerless to change anything.
While Piccolo was still lost in thought, Janemba continued his relentless assault. Goku was now being hunted down, his left arm slashed and nearly crippled by Janemba's demonic blade.
He was exhausted, barely able to stay on his feet. Janemba advanced slowly, eyes glowing with malevolence, ready to finish him off.
"Not good! Goku's in serious danger!" Piccolo raised both hands above his head and shouted, "Demon Flash!"
A golden beam of energy shot toward Janemba, crashing into his body. But it had about as much effect as a breeze against a mountain, no damage, no reaction.
Still, it was enough. Piccolo had achieved his goal.
"Goku! Close your eyes!!"
Goku understood instantly.
"Solar Flare!!"
With a flash of blinding white light, Janemba staggered, montarily disoriented. Piccolo didn't waste a second. He rushed over, grabbing Goku by the arm. "Are you okay? Can you still use Instant Transmission?"
Goku's eyes fluttered as he struggled to lift his hand and place two fingers on his forehead. "I really didn't want to run… Piccolo, this guy…"
Piccolo snapped, "Enough! Goku, don't talk, just go! Head to King Kai, now!"
Goku used the last of his strength to vanish in a flicker of light.
"JANEMBA!!" Janemba roared as he rubbed his eyes. When his vision returned, Goku was gone.
With a deafening scream, Janemba unleashed his fury into the sky. The very fabric of Hell trembled as a massive white rift opened overhead. Without hesitation, Janemba launched himself into the air and dove into the portal, his destination: the living world.

Supre Kai's Realm
On the sacred plains of the Kaiōshin Realm, Supre Kai and Kibito knelt beside two unconscious figures, Gohan and Trunks.
"Kibito! Keep going!"
Kibito pressed his hands against Gohan's chest, pouring healing energy into him with every ounce of strength he had left.
But Gohan wasn't waking up. His aura was weak, dangerously so. He teetered on the edge of life and death.
"I'm… doing my best… Lord Supre Kai…" Kibito gasped, nearly drained dry of energy.
But the heavens hadn't turned their backs. Finally, a flicker of life sparked within Gohan. His eyes shot open, sharp and focused, a single face etched into his mind: Broly.
"You're awake! Thank the gods!" The Supre Kais said together.
Still disoriented, Gohan glanced around. "Where… am I?"
Before anyone could answer, his hand brushed against sothing cold. His eyes widened as he looked down and saw Trunks lying unconscious beside him.
"Trunks!!"
Supre Kai stepped forward to calm him. "Don't worry. As soon as Kibito recovers, he'll heal him too."
Then, turning to Kibito, he added, "Once you've recovered enough, treat this young man next. I'm going to retrieve the Z Sword."
Kibito blinked in confusion. "The Z Sword, my lord? You plan to use that ancient relic to fight that monster?"
Then his brows furrowed as a mory ca rushing back. "Wait, can you even pull it out?"
"We tried before, rember? Even with both of us together, it didn't budge."
Supre Kai's cheeks flushed with embarrassnt, but he straightened his posture and snapped, "Why bring that up now?! I know we couldn't pull it out! But I can at least bring the stone it's stuck in! That counts for sothing, right?!"
Without waiting for a reply, he turned and shot off into the distance, placing all his hopes on the ancient sword buried deep within his realm.
