Four Heaven-Reaching Light Pillars shot down from the sky, falling like cots to cover the entire ravine and engulf Ye Wushuang.
An Shijie’s desire to kill Ye Wushuang was so intense that upon seeing him standing in the air, he attacked without a mont’s hesitation.
Each attack contained the energy of the Spiritual Spring Realm, enough to obliterate Ye Wushuang dozens of tis over.
Looking at the four Heaven-Reaching Light Pillars, a cold sneer tugged at the corners of Ye Wushuang’s lips.
An Shijie caught sight of the sneer and was puzzled, but he didn’t dwell on it. Nothing was more important than killing Ye Wushuang at that mont.
ROAR!
Suddenly, as if sensing danger, the Unihorned Thunder Leopard was startled from its slumber. The lightning within the ravine went wild, crashing into the surrounding mountains.
BOOM!
BOOM!
The surrounding mountains shook violently, producing a deafening roar!
The trendous disturbance caused An Shijie, who was in the sky, to frown. His expression changed drastically when he felt a terrifying aura rise.
SWOOSH!
Seizing the opportunity, Ye Wushuang’s smile vanished. He executed Shadow Kill, disappearing into the void and fleeing quickly!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The four heaven-reaching pillars of light engulfed the ravine, annihilating it. The very mountainsides collapsed.
ROAR!
Instantly, the Unihorned Thunder Leopard’s body was wreathed in lightning as it blocked the rampaging energy around it. Its eyes, crackling with lightning, stared furiously at An Shijie in the sky!
’It was this old bastard who attacked, waking from my slumber and destroying my ho!’
Imdiately, the Unihorned Thunder Leopard leaped from the ravine. From its silver horn, electrical light surged wildly, crackling as it converged into a silver lightning bolt as thick as a bucket.
CRACK!
The silver lightning bolt shot out, snaking like a dragon as it blasted towards An Shijie. It was so fast that it reached him in the blink of an eye.
Although An Shijie snapped back to his senses quickly, he couldn’t react in ti. He could only conjure multiple Shields and launch his own attacks to intercept it.
BOOM!
The silver lightning shattered all defenses and struck An Shijie directly, exploding with a deafening CRACKLE!
PTHB!
An Shijie instantly spat out a mouthful of blood. His body went rigid before he plumted from the sky, crashing to the ground with a BOOM and carving out a massive crater.
ROAR!
The Unihorned Thunder Leopard, treading on lightning like a spirit of thunder, its body wreathed in arcs of electricity, charged towards An Shijie. Along its path, trees and rocks were blasted to dust, a terrifying sight to behold!
"You little bastard, how dare you set up! I’ll cut you into a thousand pieces, a thousand... BOOM!" An Shijie’s eyes were bloodshot with rage as he roared. He finally understood—he’d been set up by Ye Wushuang and had provoked an Eighth-Level Demon Beast!
The Unihorned Thunder Leopard gave him no chance, burying him under an overwhelming torrent of lightning, vowing to kill the old fool who had disturbed its slumber!
The Unihorned Thunder Leopard was a Tier Eight Demon Beast, comparable to a cultivator at the Spiritual Spring Fourth and Fifth Layers. Its power far surpassed An Shijie’s. One could only imagine the kind of assault An Shijie was enduring!
BOOM!
Within the dense forest, only a series of explosions could be heard.
anwhile, An Shijie was being battered, coughing up blood and cutting a pathetic figure as he roared in fury!
In an instant, the anger in his heart erupted like a volcano. He vented all his endless hatred for Ye Wushuang onto the Unihorned Thunder Leopard.
On the other side, although Ye Wushuang had used Shadow Kill to escape at the critical mont, the instant he reappeared, an endless, violent energy surged towards him.
BOOM!
His body was slamd back into the ravine, where stray bolts of lightning sward madly toward him.
Of course, for soone who had undergone Body Refining amidst thunderbolts, this lightning posed little threat!
Now that the Unihorned Thunder Leopard had An Shijie tied down, it was the perfect chance to escape. Ye Wushuang scrambled to his feet and rushed out of the ravine.
However, after just a few steps, a silvery-white orb inside the ravine caught his eye!
This silvery-white orb was wreathed in lightning and suffused with the Power of Destruction. The surrounding bolts of lightning seed to fear it, keeping a wide berth!
’Could this be the treasure the Unihorned Thunder Leopard was guarding?’ Ye Wushuang was stunned for a mont before a wave of joy washed over him. He glanced back and saw the Unihorned Thunder Leopard beating An Shijie to a bloody pulp!
Ye Wushuang gave a cold smile, stored the silvery-white orb in his True Dragon Space, and then shot into the depths of the dense forest like a flash of lightning.
Seeing Ye Wushuang leave so calmly, An Shijie seethed with rage. He, a Spiritual Spring Realm expert, had been chasing a re True Essence First Layer cultivator. Not only had he failed to kill him, but he had even been tricked. The sheer frustration was unbearable.
"Get lost!" An Shijie went berserk. The True Essence in his body erupted like a geyser, soaring skyward. A small tower shimring with a bloody light appeared above his head, bathing the area in its crimson glow!
This was An Shijie’s Treasure Artifact, the Blood Soul Tower, a Spirit Communication Treasure. Not only did it possess the power of suppression, but its Blood Soul Light was also filled with destructive Killing Power.
BOOM!
The Blood Soul Tower gradually grew larger as it descended to suppress its target. The Blood Soul Light clashed with the Unihorned Thunder Leopard’s Power of thunder and lightning, causing a series of explosions.
The Unihorned Thunder Leopard was clearly wary of the Blood Soul Tower and hastily retreated.
Seizing the opportunity, An Shijie shot across the sky. Without getting entangled with the Unihorned Thunder Leopard, he gave chase, heading into the depths of the dense forest!
As they went deeper, towering Ancient Trees reached for the sky, and old vines coiled around them like slumbering True Dragons. These trees were incredibly thick, many with diaters of over ten ters. It was as if they were no longer trees, but pillars holding up the very heavens.
Even Ye Wushuang was shaken by the spectacular sight!
"Who dares trespass on the territory of my Giant Spirit Race!"
As Ye Wushuang stepped into this area, a voice like a clap of thunder bood from the distance. The rolling sound waves were enough to pierce his eardrums!
BOOM!
BOOM!
The ground began to shake violently. A mont later, a towering giant shouldering an axe ca charging toward Ye Wushuang.
Even Ye Wushuang was wary of its terrifying aura!
Instantly, Ye Wushuang’s figure flickered, and he fled in another direction!
BOOM!
This giant was terrifying, like an ancient Giant Spirit reborn. With one swing of its axe, raw energy split the earth, and even the void itself trembled.
At the sa ti, a strange resonant force slamd into Ye Wushuang, sending him flying.
When the giant saw the direction Ye Wushuang was thrown, its expression changed, and it hurriedly gave chase.
"Little bastard, you can’t escape!"
But at that mont, An Shijie’s voice suddenly rang out. He arrived, walking on air, his terrifying energy destroying one Ancient Wood after another, the sound shaking the heavens.
"You bastard! You interrupted the Giant Spirit Race’s ritual! You will die!" The giant was furious. It gave up on Ye Wushuang, turned, and charged at An Shijie with its great axe raised.
BOOM!
A series of sky-shattering explosions followed.
"It’s the Giant Spirit Race!"
"Damn that little bastard, you set up again!"
Imdiately after, An Shijie’s enraged and terrified voice rang out!
...
In the depths of the dense forest stood countless colossal ancient halls, each hundreds of feet tall, magnificent and imposing.
At the heart of these ancient halls was a massive, mysterious altar, upon which stood a towering statue hundreds of feet high!
The statue depicted a burly, imposing figure, like an ancient Barbarian God. Its Divine Power was vast; even as a statue, it commanded reverence and submission!
At that very mont, a group of giants stood silently on all sides, gazing at the altar with utmost piety. They chanted ancient, esoteric words, as if performing so important and special ritual!
BOOM!
Suddenly, a figure fell from the sky, landing with a BOOM right on top of the altar.
