"Lord Cat is extorting you. You got a problem with it?!"

Seeing the Feather Race disciple attack, the Dragon Cat flew into a rage. It fumbled around on its body, pulled out a mysterious Talisman, and without a word, tossed it at the Feather Race disciple as if throwing away trash.

At first, nothing happened.

However, just as the Feather Race disciple was about to laugh, a strange change occurred.

BANG!

The Talisman frantically devoured the Essence Qi from all directions, then abruptly shattered, bursting into a ball of white light.

As the white light moved, it transford into a massive white tiger, which roared ferociously as it stomped down from the sky.

BOOM!

The white tiger instantly crushed the arrow’s gleam and stomped toward the True Essence Eighth Layer Feather Race disciple at an astonishing speed.

The Feather Race disciple’s face fell as he tried to retreat toward his group.

At the sa ti, Yuh Yuzhen’s eyes glinted coldly. She drew her shimring longbow and shot a two-ter-thick pillar of light that soared into the sky.

ROAR!

The white tiger roared, one step ahead, and crushed the Feather Race disciple to death.

Only then did the pillar of light pierce through the white tiger, sending a circular shockwave of energy expanding in all directions.

Much of the blast struck the Giant Spirit Palace Hall, which humd and vibrated from the impact.

Witnessing this, everyone was astonished, from Lii Yifei, Feng Yang, and the others who had already set foot on the Ninefold Celestial Ladder, to Ao Wuchang, Yang Dingtian, and those who had not.

Yuh Yuzhen had used at least eighty percent of her power in that attack, enough to slay an ordinary Spiritual Spring Realm cultivator with ease.

And yet, not only had she failed to save the Feather Race disciple, but her attack had been effortlessly neutralized.

It was clear just how terrifying that mysterious item was.

"You think Lord Cat is easy to bully just because I’m handso?" The Dragon Cat sniffed, then pulled out another identical Talisman from who-knows-where, its shifty eyes scanning the crowd.

Everyone’s pupils contracted. ’He has more?’

"One Treasure dicine per person!"

The Dragon Cat reminded them, "The opportunities you’ll find in the Divine Communication Tower are worth far more than a single Treasure dicine. Think it over. Your ti in this Earth Palace trial is limited. If you miss this chance, you’ll have to wait another three hundred years. By then, it’ll be too late for you."

"Damned cat!"

Hearing the Dragon Cat’s words, everyone gritted their teeth so hard they audibly clicked. That damned cat was determined to bleed them dry.

But the things that damned cat had were just too bizarre. Who knew how many more it had?

Besides, this whole place was strange. Pann Wu stood alone on the Ninefold Celestial Ladder as if divinely aided, holding the pass all by himself. To get through the Giant Spirit Palace, they needed his permission.

Everyone was fuming, especially at that fat cat. It was too vile, too arrogant, completely impervious to threats, and afraid of nothing.

’I wonder if it’ll die young after offending so many people?’

’Even if a cat has nine lives, this ti, it’s finished.’

The strongest disciples’ faces were grim. "It’s just one Treasure dicine. Give it to him!"

"Senior Brother, we can’t just swallow this insult!"

Killing intent emanated from so disciples as they prepared to force their way through.

"The Earth Palace trial isn’t over yet. What we give away now, we can always take back later," Yang Dingtian said coldly. If it were any other ti, they would have killed the Dragon Cat at all costs.

But now was different. The Divine Communication Tower was open, and they were the main characters ant to enter it.

Without them, the opportunities within would be sealed away for another three hundred years, only to beco soone else’s fortune!

"Heh heh!"

Seeing this, the Dragon Cat turned to Pann Wu with a sly grin. "Hey, big guy, Lord Cat is going to collect the Spirit dicine. I definitely won’t hoard any for myself. It’s all for that littl—I an, for your Lord Priest!"

With that, it transford into a streak of light and landed on the Celestial Ladder, standing there quietly, waiting for everyone to hand over their Treasure dicine.

"One by one! Line up, line up! Show so class."

The Dragon Cat took out a Storage Ring and tossed it over, then glanced away, feigning disdain.

However, its shifty eyes kept darting back to see if anyone was trying to slip through without paying. The sight of it made so people want to stomp on it a couple of tis just to vent their frustration.

"What do we do? We don’t have any Treasure dicine!"

So disciples from the major influences handed over their Treasure dicine and, as they wished, stepped onto the Celestial Ladder.

However, the people behind them were in a difficult position; they didn’t have any Treasure dicine.

"If you don’t have Treasure dicine, Ninth-Grade Spiritual dicine will do! Hurry up, stop dawdling."

The Dragon Cat wasn’t about to let a single person off the hook and seized the opportunity to shout. But his words made the corners of the mouths of those who had already paid with Treasure dicine twitch.

Ninth-Grade Spiritual dicine would have been enough, but they had paid with Treasure dicine. They’d been ripped off!

The Dragon Cat paid them no mind. After filling one Storage Ring, it took out another, its heart blooming with joy.

Ye Wushuang had already stepped through the gate and was unaware of what was happening outside.

Upon stepping through the gate, he found himself on an altar.

Flas burned in clusters at the four cardinal points of the altar, illuminating it.

In front of the altar was a stone wall engraved with ancient, palm-sized symbols that snaked across it like tadpoles.

On the other three sides, there was nothing but endless, unknown darkness.

A mont later, two more figures landed there.

Ye Wushuang recognized them both.

One was Yangg Qing’er.

The other was Tang Yunxuan, dressed in goose-yellow. She had a noble air, and her bright eyes, which held a hint of shrewd wisdom deep within, sparkled.

"Brother Ye!"

Yangg Qing’er’s face lit up with joy upon seeing Ye Wushuang.

Ye Wushuang was also pleased. He had been worried that Liuu Yifei would make a move against the won, so having one of them by his side put him a little more at ease.

His only remaining worry was for Ye Rou and the others.

anwhile, Tang Yunxuan remained still, carefully observing her surroundings. Her beautiful eyes narrowed for a mont before her expression returned to normal.

Then, she turned her gaze to Ye Wushuang, her serious look replaced by a faint smile. "Young Master Ye, it’s been a while!"

"Miss Tang."

Ye Wushuang clasped his fist in return, though his expression remained largely unchanged.

’This woman may be a peerless beauty, with looks that could topple cities!’

’But after a few encounters, Ye Wushuang knew she was not to be underestimated!’

Tang Yunxuan smiled faintly. "It’s only been a short ti, Young Master Ye, but your performance has truly astonished . You are indeed a dragon among n. I am full of admiration for your talent."

"You flatter , Miss Tang," Ye Wushuang replied. Far from being pleased by the praise, he grew even more guarded.

"Let the trial begin!"

Just as the two were exchanging pleasantries, a chanical voice echoed from all around.

Hearing the voice, Ye Wushuang frowned. He spread his Divine Sense in all four directions, but it was blocked and repelled as if it had run into a wall.

RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

As the mysterious voice faded, the three dark directions began to tremble violently.

Then, massive shadows lood over Ye Wushuang and the two won.

Giants!

Before them stood giants dozens of feet tall, about the sa height as Pann Wu.

The only difference, however, was that their bodies were not made of flesh, but of a black tal that glead dazzlingly in the firelight.

Moreover, they showed no signs of life, yet possessed boundless energy!

Their strength was likely equivalent to the True Essence Eighth and Ninth Layers, but the energy they contained felt oppressive even to Ye Wushuang.

Giant Spirit Puppets!

Ye Wushuang and Tang Yunxuan uttered the three words at the sa ti.
