A white-robed figure flitted through the forest, as swift and elusive as a phantom in the wind.
Behind him, a young man carrying a black spear followed close behind. His slanted bangs danced wildly in the rushing wind!
SWOOSH!
SWOOSH!
Their speed was incredible; in just a few minutes, they had covered several miles.
However, the white-robed figure was even faster, leaving the young man far behind. By the ti the youth caught up, the figure had vanished completely.
"Where did he go?"
He swept the area with his Divine Sense, searching for any clue, but it was as if the white-robed figure had vanished into thin air, leaving not a single trace.
WHOOSH!
The instant the young man sighed and began to withdraw his Divine Sense, a flash of Sword Light erupted from a nearby thicket. By the ti he reacted and turned his head, the glint of a sharp blade was already filling his vision.
That sharp edge was icy, murderous, and unbelievably fast!
He had never encountered such swordsmanship before; it emanated such a lethal aura of death that it paralyzed his will to resist.
’It’s over!’
The young man thought. He didn’t have ti to react; the stench of death was overpowering.
TING!
However, in the very instant the young man felt he was about to die, the blade stopped.
The razor-sharp tip stopped half a milliter from the center of his brow and moved no further. Still, the killing intent radiating from the point chilled the young man to the core.
With a horrified expression, the young man’s gaze traveled up the blade of the Ancient Sword to the figure standing before him. It was the man in white, his sword-like brows raised slightly. His eyes were clear and profound, yet they held a sharp glint of their own!
"Ye Wushuang!"
"Qiu Mo!"
Two distinct voices cried out at the exact sa mont, both laced with shock.
As it turned out, the young man in white was none other than Ye Wushuang, who had been searching for Spirit dicine. He sheathed his Ancient Sword, stepped forward, and looked at the youth with the slanted bangs.
It was Qiu Mo from the Fierce Demon Cave!
Neither had expected to et again like this.
"What are you doing here?" Ye Wushuang asked in surprise. If he rembered correctly, wasn’t Qiu Mo still a prisoner in the Fierce Demon Cave?
’Wait a minute...’
Suddenly, a thought struck Ye Wushuang. He sized up Qiu Mo, his brow furrowing. "You..."
Qiu Mo smiled. "You noticed?"
"Yes," Ye Wushuang nodded. His Divine Sense had probed Qiu Mo’s Cultivation. ’He’s already at the Qi Vortex Sixth Layer?’
"Let’s find sowhere to talk," Qiu Mo said to Ye Wushuang with a smile, glancing at the moving figures behind him.
Ye Wushuang nodded, and he and Qiu Mo soon arrived at a Naless Valley.
"You’ve certainly surprised ," Ye Wushuang said with a faint smile as he looked at Qiu Mo. The last ti they t, Qiu Mo was only at the Body Tempering Eighth Layer, but now he had actually broken through to the Qi Vortex Sixth Layer.
Qiu Mo knew what Ye Wushuang ant and gave a wry smile. "I’m still a long way off compared to a Demon Fiend like you."
Although he knew Ye Wushuang’s Cultivation Realm was only the Qi Vortex Second Layer, Qiu Mo also knew that Ye Wushuang’s power could no longer be asured by his Realm.
Setting aside their past encounters, just monts ago, under the sa conditions, he had failed to snatch the Jade Box from Bai Han with a single strike. Yet, Ye Wushuang had not only gotten it with ease but had also cut off one of Bai Han’s arms.
A cultivator at the Qi Vortex Second Layer had severed the arm of soone at the Qi Vortex Seventh Realm. Qiu Mo knew he couldn’t compare and could only offer another wry smile.
Ye Wushuang smiled and changed the subject. "By the way, why are you out here?"
"It’s like this," Qiu Mo began to explain to Ye Wushuang.
Apparently, Ye Wushuang had previously given Qiu Mo so Elixirs, which helped him break through to the Body Tempering Tenth Layer. The Sect eventually found out and pardoned him.
Shortly after being pardoned, Qiu Mo entered the Inner Sect.
After entering the Inner Sect, Qiu Mo had planned to look for Ye Wushuang, but Ye Wushuang had just left for the Endless Wilderness, so he never got the chance to see him.
Next, Qiu Mo prepared to seek revenge on Ba Ziyun, but Ba Ziyun was stronger than him and had also entered the Endless Wilderness.
In the end, Qiu Mo didn’t stay in the Inner Sect for long before also heading into the Endless Wilderness. Perhaps it was a stroke of luck, but he stumbled upon so ancient ruins. Inside, he had a fortuitous encounter, and his Cultivation increased dramatically.
Just as he was consolidating his Cultivation, Bai Han and his group appeared and took sothing that Qiu Mo desperately needed. That was why Qiu Mo had been tailing them, waiting for a chance to seize it. He never imagined that Ye Wushuang would swoop in like a hunter and claim the prize.
"You an this?" Ye Wushuang asked, taking out the Jade Box.
"Yes," Qiu Mo said with a wry smile, holding nothing back. "In those ruins, I obtained the legacy of a Spear Technique from a Spiritual Spring Realm expert. The legacy included a Spirit-Level Spear Technique, but I only received half of it. The other half was in the Jade Box that group took."
"So that’s what this is about."
Ye Wushuang smiled calmly. With a flick of his wrist, he tossed the Jade Box to Qiu Mo.
"You..." Qiu Mo was stunned for a mont. "This is a Spirit-Level Combat Skill!"
"But it can’t compare to our friendship," Ye Wushuang replied with a slight smile. A Spirit-Level Combat Skill was no substitute for a true friend.
The ways of the world are as treacherous as ghosts, and the hearts of n are as sharp as knives.
Though the world may be cruel, there are still people of loyalty and honor!
Ye Wushuang cherished such people. So, never mind a Spirit-Level Combat Skill; he would gladly give up even Unparalleled Divine Techniques just to make a single true friend!
"In that case, I won’t be polite." Sensing the sincerity in Ye Wushuang’s words, Qiu Mo’s gaze flickered. He wasn’t a pretentious man, so he accepted this act of friendship and stored the Jade Box.
"Oh, right!" Suddenly rembering sothing, Qiu Mo asked curiously, "In the ti I’ve been here in the Endless Wilderness, I’ve noticed that quite a few people seem to be looking for you. Why is that?"
Ye Wushuang answered with a smile, "It’s nothing, I just took a little Spirit dicine off their hands."
"Took a little Spirit dicine?"
Qiu Mo was taken aback for a mont, then asked, "You need Spirit dicine?"
"I need so at the mont."
Ye Wushuang nodded, not trying to hide anything. Scattering and Rebuilding was extrely dangerous, and he had to be perfectly prepared. Spirit dicine was essential, and he was worried he wouldn’t have enough. That’s why he had to find as much as possible, even if it ant robbing people!
Upon hearing this, Qiu Mo didn’t ask any more questions. He took out a Storage Ring and tossed it to Ye Wushuang. "I have so here that I got from the ruins. Take them for now."
Ye Wushuang caught it and took a look inside. The Storage Ring was filled with Spirit dicine, including more than a dozen Ninth Grade stalks.
Seeing his reaction, Qiu Mo smiled. "Just take them. I’ll take you sowhere."
Ye Wushuang looked up and asked, "Where?"
"The Divine Temple!"
Qiu Mo announced.
"The Divine Temple?" Ye Wushuang murmured the na, his eyes narrowing in confusion.
Qiu Mo explained, "I heard soone say that the Divine Temple is a miraculous place with peerless opportunities inside. It’s supposed to manifest soon, which is why so many Cultivators in the Endless Wilderness are searching for it these days."
"And you know where it is?" Ye Wushuang asked.
"I stumbled upon a clue in so ancient records in the ruins. It said the Divine Temple might appear on the Desolate Mountain," Qiu Mo answered.
Ye Wushuang fell silent for a mont. He decided he would go and see for himself.
