Chapter 297: …are you going to beco an Elental Mage?
“She will be an excellent Elental Mage.”
Igni smiled lightly.
“Hmm?”
Kael frowned.
Unlike Igni, who could see the Elentals with his naked eyes, he was just seeing Lavinia smiling as she sat cross-legged.
Knowing that, Igni glanced at his father and,
“Close your eyes, Father. See how the Elentals react to her.”
He instructed.
Kael did as he was told and closed his eyes, this was the only way he could ‘see’ the Elentals.
What he saw after closing his eyes, however, surprised him. Tens of thousands of red little sparks rushing towards the big spark all at the sa ti.
It was chaotic, it almost felt like he was watching an explosion in reverse, it even felt dangerous, yet… despite all that…
It was… srizing.
What surprised him even further was that despite tens of thousands of these sparks rushing towards the centre, the big spark at the centre wasn’t increasing in size anymore. It was barely a few inches big, it was, however, getting brighter and brighter.
Because of this absurd speed, it didn’t take long for Lavinia to gather all the Elents.
“Now keep them together.”
Igni’s instructions were heard.
And honestly, even though the Dragon had told her what to do, in truth, Lavinia didn’t have to do anything on her own, the Elentals, which should have resisted each other, were now sticking with each other without her having to do anything.
Soon, both Kael and Lavinia saw it,
The big spark in the centre started twisting and trembling lightly, almost as if it was taking a new form. Kael tried focusing on its features, he wanted to picture what a Spirit looked like, but then,
Swhoosh
The big ‘spark’ glowed brightly, blinding Kael and lighting up the entire area. Even though his eyes were closed, instead of darkness, he was staring at a pure, white light. It was quite a magical scene.
And then suddenly,
“Krriiii!!”
Kael heard a sound.
“Huh…?”
He frowned in confusion. Curious, he opened his eyes and there, his eyes fell on her.
A little fairy who was barely a few inches tall, flying around Lavinia with a big, sweet smile on her face. The little girl had bright orange, fiery wings that glowed, red hair that seed to be made of flas, and warm, reddish-orange colored, excited eyes.
She wore a light-colored top and had reddish-orange flowers around her head and on her shoulders, making her even more adorable.
*Picture*
“W-Why is she so cute!?”
Kael complained.
The little thing was absolutely adorable!
His words, however, instantly got a reaction from Igni,
“Father, you…
You can see her?”
“Huh?”
Kael frowned.
“Of course, she is right there.”
His words made Igni silent, now, it was the Dragon’s turn to be confused.
“You are not supposed to see her…”
Cirri muttered as well, a little taken aback.
“I am not…?”
Kael tilted his head with a frown.
“I thought she got a physical form because of Lavinia, allowing others to see her.”
“She does represent the Elentals’ physical form, but you are still not supposed to see her.”
Cirri shook her head.
“If you can see her then it ans…”
“Hmm? What does it an?”
Kael questioned, wondering why Cirri suddenly turned silent.
“It ans that you have the potential to beco an Elental Mage as well.”
Igni revealed the truth.
“So I can cast circle-less magic as well!?”
Kael questioned, his eyes shining brightly as he saw the opportunity to get stronger.
And who knows?
He might also get that adorable little thing as one of his Bonds as well.
Soon, however, Kael noticed sothing.
Cirri had gotten silent, too silent. He turned towards her and realized that the Dragon had lowered her head. She was… sad…?
“Cirri?”
He called out, holding her gently.
“…are you going to beco an Elental Mage?”
The Dragon questioned in a low voice.
“Do you not want to?”
Kael questioned back, and Cirri turned silent. Clearly, the Dragon was against it. With a frown on his face, Kael turned towards Igni, wanting to see if his firstborn knew what happened.
“To beco an Elental Mage, you will have to break your Bonds with us through a ritual.”
The Dragon answered, knowing what his sister was thinking.
“Hah…?”
Kael’s expression changed. He then lifted Cirri up to make her face him and,
“So you thought I will break our bond?”
“…Elental Magic will make you stronger.”
Cirri answered in a low voice.
“What’s the point of being stronger if you are no longer with ?”
Kael’s answer was instantaneous.
“We can still be with you without the Bond, we will still be able to be by your side and h—”
“No.”
Kael shook his head.
“I will not break our Bonds. You all are the only ones I have.”
“Tsk tsk.”
Suddenly, Vitaria snorted as she jumped onto her Father’s shoulder,
“To think you thought Father will leave us, you must have forgotten how needy he is. What a childish mistake, I cannot believe you are older than .”
“Silence.”
Imperia jumped onto the Fox’s head and slapped her again.
“What did I do!? It is her fault for not thinking it through!?”
The Fox snapped.
“Big sister was just worried. Even if it was a foolish worry, you are not allowed to say that out loud because she is older than you.”
Imperia answered calmly.
“You just called her a fool!”
The Fox shouted.
“No, I did not.”
“You did!”
“I did not!”
“You definitely did!”
“You will remain silent, Young Lady.”
“I am older than you!!”
The banter continued and Kael, who was hearing everything, laughed out loud. He then placed Cirri in his embrace and,
“To hell with being an Elental Mage, I am happy with my adorable little babies.”
“…thank you, Father.”
Cirri smiled lightly as she closed her eyes.
But then, the little Dragon glanced at Vitaria and smirked secretly.
“You—”
The Fox widened her eyes in shock, however, before she could point her paws at her older sister, Igni glanced at Lavinia, who was playing with the Spirit and,
“Now move your forehead near hers and allow her to feed on your Mana.”
He instructed.
“Hmm?”
Lavinia tilted her head and Igni nodded,
“You have successfully materialized her, now it is ti to form a Bond with her.”
The Dragon smiled and suddenly,
“Krrriiii!!”
The little Spirit jumped in joy, agreeing wholeheartedly.
