Chapter 302: Don’t try to rush it, we have ti.

[Na: Kael Carter]

[Race: Human]

[Age: 22]

[Level: 37 -> 40]

[CE: 348/16000]

[Talent: Genesis of the Ancients]

[Talent Rank: EX Rank]

[Strength: 153 -> 170]

[Agility: 205 -> 227]

[Speed: 183 -> 203]

[Stamina: 189 -> 209]

[Defense: 173 -> 192]

[Mana: 201 -> 222]

[Intelligence: 141 -> 157]

[Charisma: 145 -> 162]

Kael clenched his fist as he stared at the screen that hovered in front of him.

“Your progress has been quite stable, Father. You are finally reaching the point where not many in the world can be of threat to you in a fair, one-on-one battle.”

Igni comnted, observing his Father with calm eyes.

Kael nodded at his words.

He was indeed getting stronger, his Agility, Speed, and Stamina, that increased after he cleared the Tempest Sanctum, were getting closer to Veylara’s.

Of course, there was still a huge difference between them. Veylara’s average stats were in the 250s and not even his highest stat was at that level. Not to ntion, Veylara was a Human. Humans here relied on their Bonds and her Bond was much, much stronger.

But in the end, the fact that he was making progress was indeed true. His growth was actually much faster than he expected. Things had been going smoothly.

Too smoothly, in fact.

To the point it felt suspicious.

After all, if he continued to grow like this, wouldn’t he grow enough to overpower literally anyone within… a year?

He was only Level 40 right now. What if he reached Level 80? Or Level 100?

How could he ever lose with such strength at his disposal?

But…

If he trusted his Vision, he still lost before.

Sure, the Vision version of him didn’t have Genesis of the Ancients and other advantages he had, but still, the fact that he lost even though he had the ability to create Dragons said a lot.

At the very least, he could be sure that the enemies were much stronger than what everyone was expecting.

And the fact that they still hadn’t revealed themselves made things all the more… eerie.

Kael stared at Igni. Unlike before, the Dragon could no longer grow at the sa pace as him. With his CE now being distributed to five Bonds, the CE he gained wasn’t sufficient for Igni. The Dragon was only Level 36 right now.

Of course, he was still stronger than Kael, but Kael knew it wouldn’t be long before he surpassed Igni.

“You look worried, Father.”

Imperia spoke up as she jumped onto Kael’s head.

“It is nothing.”

Kael shook his head.

“What about you? How are the Ants doing? Did they find anything interesting?”

He questioned, changing the topic in order to divert his mind onto sothing useful. There was no information about the enemy right now. So the only thing he could do right now was to prepare himself.

“They did.”

Imperia nodded with a light smile on her face.

“What is it?”

“I suggest you wait, Father.”

“Hmm?”

“We have only been here for a few hours. Not only have my children not spread far enough, we still do not know what sort of information is valuable for us and what is not. Even if I have found so interesting things, rather than wasting ti on them, it is better for Father to focus on training.”

“…I understand.”

Kael nodded at those words.

Even though he was curious, he could see that Imperia was correct, and she did say that the information found within the first few hours could not be completely trusted.

It was indeed better to wait.

“Let’s continue then.”

He spoke as he continued learning Spells Lavinia had drawn for him. After the Spells, Kael trained with the Sword. He hadn’t yet mastered the Sword Aura because he didn’t exactly have a lot of ti to train, but he was still making steady progress.

Kael was confident he would master it quickly now that the situation had stabilized and he didn’t have to waste most of his ti traveling.

The training continued for a few more hours. Soon, it was ti to sleep. Lavinia was waiting for him outside as well, so he opened the portal as he and his children walked out.

“You are late.”

Lavinia complained.

“You seed busy, so I trained more than usual.”

Kael answered as he stared at the little Spirits flying around Lavinia. Their Bond seed to have gotten stronger in the few hours he was gone.

“So? How’s the progress?”

Kael questioned.

“I still need ti.”

Lavinia answered honestly.

“Don’t try to rush it, we have ti.”

Kael nodded, and Lavinia nodded back.

“Shall we sleep then?”

Kael questioned as he looked around.

The room they got was large, as requested, but very plain. The stone walls were bare and cold, with a few cracks running through them. There was no real bed—just a pile of thick old clothes and folded cloaks laid on the floor to act as bedding.

A rough stone block served as a table, and there were two wooden stools, both uneven. There was no window, only a small hole near the ceiling for air. The room was cold, quiet, and dim, but…

Imperia, who had her ants infiltrate all other rooms around, knew this was one of the best rooms the Velmourns could offer with their limited resources.

“Mhm.”

Lavinia nodded at Kael’s words.

Even as a Princess, she didn’t care about the room. She had gotten used to camping outside, so this was considered a luxury. Honestly, for Lavinia, as long as Kael was next to her, where she slept didn’t really matter.

She just glanced at Igni, who lay on the open space and walked towards him. They all lay down in the position they had now gotten used to. The only change was the Spirits that were now with them, and it didn’t make much of a difference either.

After all, these beings could not interact with reality. Only Lavinia, Kael, Igni, and Cirri could actually see and interact with them. The Seven Spirits made themselves comfortable on top of Lavinia and closed their eyes.

Lavinia too grabbed Kael’s hand like she always did and closed her eyes. Kael, surrounded by everyone he cared about, closed his eyes as well with a determined look on his face.

He had broken through,

It was ti to see another Vision.
