[Red Lion Tribe]
It was now Darganth's second full day at the Red Lion Tribe. After receiving permission to stay here two days ago and receiving a few treasures, he spend most of his ti training. By now both his aura and magic were fulfilling all requirents for the second rank. The only reason why he didn't condense the symbol for their respective first order was that he first wanted to bring his control on an equal level.
Despite being part of the requirents, the requirent for control is lower in every rank than what would be its direct equal to either mana quality or quantity. While this had many reasons, the main one being that resources to increase any of the tree control attributes were rarer, but Darganth still preferred them to remain equal. Even at the peak of his power, all of his five mana and control attributes were at the sa level. While he would return to that point given enough ti and this little difference it currently had would hardly be noticeable, he still wanted to rid himself of it.
Currently he was only one step away from reaching this equilibrium. At the sa ti Serania was sitting in the tent, watching him with interest. This had been like this since she was assigned to him, with her watching while he ignored her. Despite being happy to not have to sleep with soone every night, she was sowhat hurt that he didn't seem to find her beautiful at all.
“Serania, I want you to keep what you are going to see a secret, OK?” Darganth words brought her out of her trance.
“Can you?” He asked once more when she didn't answer him.
“Of course.” She quickly said.
With this assurance, Darganth once again closed his eyes. After a few seconds, a flow of aura ford on his body. This was the ability of a first order aura soldier, soone who has reached the second rank with aura. The reason why he allowed Serania to witness this, despite having said to only be a magician to Gervas had multiple reasons.
The first was that it wasn't that great of a secret. While he had concealed his aura abilities in case a fight broke out, by now he would win even without the mont of surprise. Additionally, Gervas might think he would hide an even larger secret when he learns that he send Serania outside. The last reason was that he doubted that she would even tell Gervas. After all, he noticed that she was quite unhappy with her current situation.
After a while, Darganth retracted his external aura. By now the symbol for it had ford on his heart and he has officially beco a second rank aura soldier. Putting his hand on the ground, he raised a small earth pillar in front of him. The advantage of external aura compared to internal was that it allowed for a stronger boost, as it was less constrained by the limit of mana the body could endure. Additionally, the defense provided was better by manifold, compared to internal aura as it would act as a slight dampener to attacks.
To accustom himself to his new strength, he punched against the small pillar. Due to polymorph halving his strength and aura's effect being dependent on the users raw strength the power he could currently exhibit was small. Additionally to this his weaker body also ant that the amount of aura he could use was also reduce, aning he currently had less than a quarter of his true forms power. Despite this, his punches strength was around the sa level as it was in his true form before reaching the second rank. Of course external aura consud more mana, but he could still use it for multiple hours as his mana pool was large, even for a second rank magician.
Serania had anwhile sprung up in shock, when she saw him shatter the earth pillar. While Gervas could do so too, she didn't know. Thus she believed Darganth to be even stronger than her chief, which was true even if she ca to this conclusion the wrong way.
Ignoring her, Darganth started to reach the second rank in magic. This would require him to cast at least two spells at the sa ti, but with more spell, the symbol on his heart would condense faster. Deciding to use only ten different spells, the circles manifested themselves in the air around him. While his would normally be invisible, unless one was able to see the mana they consisted of, Darganth had made them visible because he didn't want to be interrupted should soone co inside.
The reason for this worry was that he had noticed his punch against the earth pillar causing enough sound that there was now a commotion outside. After a few minutes, Gervas walked into the tent, flanked by two guards. While the sound had clearly alard them and the magic circles added to that, Gervas motioned for hem to stand down.
After a few more minutes the circles started to loose their color and then faded completely. Opening his eyes slowly, Darganth found Gervas looking at him intrigued.
“We heard a loud sound and feared a tunneling beast to have erged in the camp. Though it seems our worry was unfounded. Congratulations for reaching the second rank.”
“Thanks. And sorry for causing confusing, I hadn't thought that this would create this much sound.”
“Its alright. Besides, it allowed to see this spectacle for myself. If the question is allowed, what were these circles?” Gervas said, visibly friendlier than before. While he had previously given Darganth the respect soone who had important information deserved, now Darganth was soone who could very well kill him.
“Of course, it is no secret after all. These were spells. The ability of a first order advanced magician is multicasting, or the creation of more than one spell at the sa ti.”
“I thought spells required their user to speak an incantation, how can soone use more than one?” Gervas asked, shocked by this new information. After all, he had already once fought a magician and the pause between spells and the fact that there was always just one attack was were the only reasons he had escaped.
“Only if one lacks both talent and effort. Elental magic is divided in two way of casting. The weaker one is through the use of incantations, while better magicians use magic circles. While in its base there is no difference, spells cast by magic circles can be empowered and changed though the use of so called auxiliary circles in the casting process. This allows more options and way to empower a spell further that is more efficient than mindlessly pumping more mana into it.” While Gervas and his guards were shocked by this information, Serania understood nothing of what was said. Ignoring their reactions, Darganth continued.
“Additionally, incantation users are further divided into those who have to speak the incantation and those who just have to think it. I believe that which of the two is better is rather obvious. Among magic circle users there is a similar divide between those whose magic circle is visible and those that can hide it. By hiding it, one hides not only the point of origin for those that can't even sense mana good enough, leading to the point where the spell materializes being unknown, it also prevents others from reading the spell, with very few exceptions.”
“Point of origin? Isn't magic always cast from ones body?”
“Of course not. The ability to distance cast is the sign of a second order advanced magician. While longer distances increase the ti between the mont the cast is fished and the magic takes effect, as well as increasing the mana cost, how else do you think that magicians of story’s can trap an entire army with walls?” At his explanation, the three started to thinks.
“So a magician could in theory cast a spell from here to another content?” Gervas asked after a few second, clearly shocked and slightly scared by this prospect.
“Well, he would need an extrely high mana pool for it to work and a high control speed to ensure that the spell materializes before he dies of old age. But yes, in theory it is possible. Of course the longer it takes to materialize, the larger the ti window for soone to interrupt the spell.” When Darganth said this, Gervas seed to think about sothing. He just wanted to say sothing, when he remberd Darganth bein present. Talking for a bit longer, he bid farewell and made his way out of the tent.
Waiting for a few second, Darganth tuned his attention to Serania. During this entire ti she had looked at him curiously.
“What do you want to ask ?” He said with a small smile. He could clearly see her fascination for magic in her eyes, despite having understood little of his explanation. While he was not entirely sure if it was simply because the respect Gervas showed him now that he had the sa power lead her to equate magic with more freedom from him, or she simply was interested in magic itself, he didn't care.
“From what you said magic doesn't rely on ones own physical strength, so can won use it to beco just as strong as n?” At this, Darganth inwardly grinned. He had already expected this question, or at least sothing similar.
Thinkin for a short mont whether or not to tell her, he nodded. This caused her to look at him with hope in her eyes. This made him internally debating whether he should teach her or not. While he already noticed her talent to be rely average, he didn't rule it out completely.
“Can you teach ?” She asked. Seeing his hesitation, her expression first grew defeated, before it was replaced by determination.
Standing up, she swiftly took of her top.
“While you haven’t shown any interest in my body during your stay, maybe this can sway you. While I know that I was ordered to sleep with you if you wanted to, if you were to want to do it now I would do so even without the order.” These words surprised Darganth. He had clearly noticed her aversion to being forced to sleep with others.
Thinking about it for a mont, he made the decision to indulge himself. Up until now he was more focused on his strength, but now that it would grow very little from normal forms of training he saw no reason to not have so fun.
Standing up, he cast a sound isolation spell around them, before making his way over to her. Standing in front of her, he drew her in for a kiss. After initially being passive, she soon started to reciprocate the kiss. When she started invading his mouth with her tongue, he ford a small smile before doing so too. Second by second his kiss beca intenser, forcing her to arch back more and more. When she wanted to take a step back, he snaked his arm around her hip, pulling her back in.

By now he considered teaching her magic just to see the beauty she would develop to once she reached the mythical rank. Ignoring that thought for now, he refocused on the her before him right. “I know that you will soon continue your journey, but please never forget , ok?” Her words made Darganth smirk slightly.
“Of course, but I have an even better proposal. While I can't take you with , I will give you everything you would need to one day reach , should I have not found the ti to return to you by then.” These words made Serania open her eyes wide in surprise. While she had asked him to teach her magic, from their conversations she knew that his kind lives quite far away, on top of so of the highest mountains. To reach there would require power far greater that she ever expected to receive from him.
“Then I will one day stand by your side, not because you took there but because I made my way to you.” At these words, the determination was clearly visible in her eyes. Smiling, he gave her another kiss before moving his hand to her forehead.
“Be ready, I am going to transfer the knowledge to you via magic.” With these words, he used a knowledge transfer spell, dividing it into two category's. First she received enough knowledge about magic, that kingdoms would fight over even one percent of it.
Additionally, this knowledge was not only like reading a book, instead it was similar to a dragons innate complete knowledge over magic. While covering less, it would still allow her to reach into the mythical realm with the only limiting factor being the speed at which her mana and control grew. Part of this knowledge was also a training thod to train in both at the sa ti, while the factor for each aspect could be adjusted.
The only thing he could not help her with were her affinity’s, but unknown to both of them, they were no longer a problem. While his current eyes are not capable of seeing a persons affinity’s, Darganth expected, correctly, that they were only around average. But one of the treasures he consud had an effect that he never expected. A small part of its energy wasn't completely assimilated, instead being influenced by his dragon nature and transforming into sothing new. As it was technically a part of his body, this energy wasn't absorbed.
During their night together, this energy sohow was transferred to Serania and was currently in the process of assimilating with her. While it won't change her much now, only giving her so small dragon features and heightened affinity's, it was still a treasure many would fight over. This was largely due to the affinity boost being the most pronounced in the space and ti elents, mainly due to Daranth's influence.
The largest effect will only show itself upon her advancent to the mythical rank. Once she reaches this stage, her body will undergo an evolution, similar to that of beasts. This will make her an entirely new draconic species. While she won't beco a true dragon, her kind will be added to the ranks of lesser dragons and even quite far towards the top among them.
The second part of the knowledge will only unlock itself once she reached the third rank. By then she should have already overtaken Gervas, thus he would let her know that he is a dragon. While he could tell her the entirety, with him being the first dragon, that is sothing he wants to do in person.
Once the knowledge completely sorted itself, tears of happiness started forming in her eyes. Kissing him passionately, she nearly cried of happiness. After five years, she finally had a way to escape her situation.
