Early the next morning.
The sky was just beginning to lighten with the first glimrs of dawn.
Jiang Feng woke up on the sofa and suddenly heard the faint sound of slippers on the floor upstairs.
He looked up and saw Chu Feifei, unusually coming downstairs in her pajamas so early in the morning.
"Uncle, you're awake?"
Chu Feifei had been tiptoeing around, afraid of waking Jiang Feng downstairs. Now seeing him already sitting there, she confidently walked down.
"Why are you up so early?"
Jiang Feng watched as Chu Feifei sat down next to him and asked.
"Uncle, you were right. From today onwards, I must learn to change."
Chu Feifei said earnestly, "In the past, I always thought with Uncle Zhuge in front of , he could handle everything, and I could slack off."
"But your words yesterday made realize I can't always hide behind Uncle Zhuge. I need to learn to take on everything so my dad can be happy for in the afterlife, and Uncle Zhuge can truly rest easy."
Jiang Feng nodded approvingly. Chu Feifei did not let him down in the end. She had Chu Renxiong's genes in her bones; fragility was temporary, and she quickly adjusted her state to move forward with determination.
"I still stand by my words; I will always stand behind you. You are not alone in your efforts. And Qingcheng and the others are your best support team, too."
"Uncle, there's sothing else I need to tell you..." Chu Feifei suddenly gestured mysteriously to Jiang Feng.
"What?" Jiang Feng leaned in, puzzled.
Chu Feifei suddenly threw herself into Jiang Feng's arms, wrapping her arms around him tightly.
Jiang Feng was caught off guard, montarily stunned, then gently patted Chu Feifei's back.
"Uncle, thank you, I'm so glad to have you..."
After resting in Jiang Feng's embrace for a while, Chu Feifei reluctantly pulled away. She looked at Jiang Feng with bright eyes and said, "From today on, you'll see a different Fei'er. Stay tuned!"
"I've always been looking forward to it."
"Smooch!" Chu Feifei suddenly leaned in and kissed Jiang Feng on the cheek, then ran off in a fluster.
"Uncle, this ti it's not a minority's thank-you gift." She said, blushing, before dashing into the restroom.
Jiang Feng touched his face, finding the situation amusing.
Just then, there was a knock at the door. Jiang Feng knew it was Feng Yueji, so he got up to open the door.
"Master, is Fei'er feeling better?" Feng Yueji ca in and saw Chu Feifei's flustered retreating figure, forcing a smile as she asked Jiang Feng.
"Mm." Jiang Feng nodded, "Your face seems off, did sothing happen?"
"There is sothing!" Feng Yueji said seriously, "So of my people have suddenly disappeared!"
"Sit down and tell ." Jiang Feng led Feng Yueji to sit on the sofa, "What's going on?"
"Master, you should know that ever since my sect tried several tis to catch here in Binhai, I've strengthened precautions, secretly deploying many people throughout the city. This way, if anything abnormal entered Binhai, I would know imdiately."
"In the latter half of last night, I received a call from my team guarding the airport. They told a group of Myanmar people had entered in the dead of night."
"Myanmar people?"
"Yes! After we ca down from Yinpan Mountain, I specifically instructed them to watch for Myanmar people entering recently—Master, you killed a Myanmar grandmaster-level ascetic monk. I feared they wouldn't let it go and would have a backup plan sooner or later. But I didn't expect them to sneak in in the dead of night to avoid drawing attention." Feng Yueji said solemnly.
"The ones who went missing were the ones guarding the airport?"
"Yes! I told them to keep watching and report any abnormalities with the Myanmar group imdiately. But before I even got a report, they'd lost contact." Feng Yueji reported truthfully.
Hearing this, Jiang Feng frowned slightly.
Myanmar people, was it the Heigu Group sending them again?
He had thought after he killed Du Sengming on Yinpan Mountain that the other side wouldn't let it go, but he didn't expect the counterattack to co so swiftly.
And whoever was stronger than Du Sengming would at least be at a middle-level grandmaster, so it was normal for Feng Yueji's watchers to be discovered.
"In that case, they're likely already in the city. Keep your people searching; they're fundantally different from Chinese and should be easy to spot. Report imdiately when you find Myanmar faces." Jiang Feng said coldly.
The visitors were hostile; though he had no fear, the enemies were in the dark. If they attacked those around him like before, it would be troubling.
Jiang Feng couldn't possibly protect Nangong Qingcheng and the others all the ti, so problems were bound to occur!
"Alright, I'll give the orders right away!" Feng Yueji imdiately took out her phone to comply.
After this, Jiang Feng and Feng Yueji stayed at ho, waiting for news instead of going out for morning exercise.
In front of Nangong Qingcheng and the other won, they didn't ntion the serious situation outside. Jiang Feng continued calmly preparing breakfast for the won.
After eating, the oblivious Chu Feifei returned upstairs to prepare for her first ti hosting at the group formally.
She tied her long hair up, applied delicate makeup, and wore a black professional outfit with high-heeled sandals on her feet.
"Uncle, Sister Feng, how do I look?"
Chu Feifei returned downstairs and twirled in front of Jiang Feng and the others, asking.
Her steps were firm and confident, shedding so of her youthful and lively aura, gaining steadiness and grandeur.
"Not bad, you're getting there; you should learn from Yue Ji about aura; she's more experienced." Jiang Feng nodded.
"Master, you're joking again. Fei'er is already showing the budding form of the Chu's Queen. Surpassing is only a matter of ti." Feng Yueji laughed.
Chu Feifei planned to hold a full senior eting at the group that morning. Her speech was still under consideration, so she sat on the sofa to carefully review it.
Nangong Qingcheng, feeling uneasy, suggested going with Chu Feifei, worrying she might be intimidated and unable to command authority alone before the senior officials.
But Chu Feifei politely declined. This was her first real test, and she hoped to accomplish it alone. Once she smoothly took charge, inviting Nangong Qingcheng and the others to take positions in the group would seem natural, but that was later on.
Jiang Feng frowned slightly; if the four won were together, it would be easier to protect them. But once separated, it would give those hidden Myanmar people an opportunity!
He was about to say sothing when Feng Yueji suddenly received another call. Her expression turned grave as she inford Jiang Feng, "Master, new developnt; those missing Guardians have been found!"
