617 Chapter 617:- eting Between the Beast Kings
John and Jacob silently waited in front of the teleportation array to greet all the other six Beast kings. The status power and influence of the Beast kings were so high that John personally waited to welco them to his territory.
Even if John was the third strongest Beast king, it did not an that he could ignore the other Beast kings. The other Beast Kings cannot be underestimated. Each of the beast kings had grown so powerful and influential that if two of them started fighting amongst each other even and if one of them were to win, the resources that would be used to defeat the other beast King would be simply too much. Even if the other Beast King were to win, the casualties would be too much.
In short, the price of taking down one Beast King and his army would be simply too much. The consequences weren't sothing that any of the Beast Kings could bear even if one side won.
This is why despite not liking each other very much there never has been any conflicts between any of the beast Kings.
Soon the teleportation array lit up. When the bright light dimd down, in the middle of the teleportation array, there were two powerful Wolf-kins from the Moon Wolf clan.
There were many variations of Wolf clans in the Beast Continent. The Moon Wolf clan had one of the largest populations and also was one of the strongest wolf clans in all of the Beast Continent.
Compared to normal Wolf-kins, the Moon Wolf clan mbers are born with higher stamina and agility. They have a deep connection with the Moon. Because of this connection with the moon, all the Moon Wolf clan mbers have a moon-shaped white symbol on top of their noses and between their eyebrows. During day ti, the moon-shaped white symbol glows slightly but during nightti, this symbol glows very brightly.
During the nightti, the stats of all Moon Wolf clan mbers increase by 50%. At the sa ti, all of the clan mbers' healing powers, stamina recovery speed, Mana recovery speed, and cultivation speed increased by 50%. This is all because of their connection with the moon.
"Welco to the Blue-Horned Tribe," Jacob said before slightly bowing his head to greet Beast King Oliver and his wife as well as his assistant Eva.
"We didn't co late, did we?" Oliver asked while shaking hands with John.
Being from the sa clan, Oliver and Eva had the sa hair color.
The males and female wolf-kins shared so common features: stunning white skin, luminous silver hair, and black pupils.
The Male wolf-kins are known for a distinct white circle that resembles a full moon. The round-shaped moon symbol was positioned right above their noses and was between their eyebrows. This symbol softly glowed especially under the moonlight.
Female wolf-kins, on the other hand, had a delicate crescent moon in the sa location. This symbol was also gently glowed under the moonlight.
Both genders have a beautiful, human-like face, with the unique addition of wolf ears perched atop their heads. These ears, sensitive and alert, add to their striking appearance.
When it cos to their physique, wolf-kins are generally tall. Their bodies are built to be athletic. From birth, the mbers of the Moon Wolf clan are gifted with remarkable physical abilities which make them adept in activities requiring speed and endurance.
By saying these words, Oliver was just being polite. anwhile, Eva stood behind her husband and also bowed her head to greet John.
"Of course not...!!!"
"My apologies but I will not be able to walk you two to the eting room. My subordinate will do that in my place." John and Jacob were going to remain here to greet other Beast Kings.
"That's alright." Soon, Oliver and Eva left.
In the next few minutes, one by one the other 5 Beast Kings with their assistants who were more like their secretaries or sotis acted like the Pri Ministers arrived. Unlike Oliver and Eva, the other Beast kings brought a few Peak 5th-order cultivators with them in case sothing went wrong. This is also to flex their muscles during the eting.
John welcod them all.
Soon all of the Beast-Kings and their secretaries gathered in the eting room. The whole eting room was shut with runes to make sure that no one from outside would hear what they were discussing in this eting room.
Outside of the eting room was being heavily guarded. The food that was going to be served to the Beast Kings had to be checked by the other Beast Kings' n who were guarding the eting room from outside before the food could enter the eting room. After all, no Beast King was willing to take the chance of being poisoned.

"Since we all are here at last, let us begin the eting." John carefully cut a small piece of steak while speaking. All the Beast kings were currently having lunch. While their secretaries were standing behind their Kings.
The secretaries' purpose was to protect their Kings if anything went wrong and also to give suggestions or ideas to their kings.
"Let's keep things straight. Tell the reason for this ergency eting?" It was the 6th strongest Beast King, Ethan who spoke in an impatient tone. Everyone knew that he was busy preparing for the Dragon Grass, which would show up five days later.
Ethan was a Tiger-kin. His territory was on the Southern side of the Central region.
Ethan was a skinny handso and skinny man who had a Tiger tail and ears on top of his forehead.
Although others did not speak after Ethan spoke, their silence indicated that they agreed with what Ethan said.
However, John did not imdiately reply. With a smile, he took a sip of the wine and answered. "I believe everyone here is preparing to fight for the Dragon Grass....?"
"I am having second thoughts. This ti my clan will not fight for the Dragon Grass." Oliver spoke without raising his head as he was also busy cutting the steak.
Oliver was the seventh strongest beast King here. In the past mini arrogant beast kings and their clans have fallen from power because they try to fight for the Dragon Grass.
Oliver felt that his clan currently wasn't strong enough so he was going to refrain from participating in the fight to get the Dragon Grass.
"Oh....!!!" John and others weren't surprised. Being Beast Kings each of them kept news of each other. So the fact that the Moon Wolf clan will not fight for the Dragon grass already had reached the ears of the other beast kings.

"Every 100 years, the Dragon Grass appears. At that ti, all of us fight each other and also forces from other continents to get our hands on the dragon grass. In the last many centuries, none of the beast kings has ever managed to get the dragon grass. Because in front of the forces from other continents, we are not strong enough."
As much as this fact, hurt the pride of the beast kings, what John was saying was indeed the truth. When compared to the powerful Empires from other continents, the Beast Kings were not that strong. And for the Dragon Grass, they had to compete with almost every force in the whole world. There have been tis when even people from the Main Continent also co to take the Dragon Grass.
"There have been tis when Beast kings and their clans have lost all of their powers while trying to get the dragon grass. This is a hopeless Cycle that will continue to repeat itself unless we do sothing about it."
"What I am proposing is, instead of fighting between ourselves why don't we join hands and fight together for the dragon grass?" Hearing John's words everyone had a bit of a reaction on their faces.
Seeing this, Jacob inwardly smirked, knowing that his Lord's plan was working.
"Once the dragon grass is in our hands, we can sell the dragon grass for a high amount, and then divide the profit between seven of us."
"The dragon grass grows in the beast continent, so why should we let the forces from other continents take it from us?" John's words perfectly made sense. Everyone agreed with him.
The dragon grass only appeared in the beast continent. But when was the last ti anyone from the beast continent has been able to take the dragon grass for themselves? This has been happening even before the continental war.
Instead of fighting among themselves, why not join hands so that all of them could get at least a piece from the profit?
The more they thought about it, the more they felt that John's words made sense. If They join hands then they won't need to fight among themselves and instead they can focus on fighting the foreign forces.
"If we all were to join our forces, then it is 100% confird that we will get the Dragon Grass this ti," Ethan said excitedly. The Price of the Dragon Grass was in Billions of Royal Gold Coins. Even if the profit was divided among them, each of them would get a huge share.
"Yeah...!!! In front of our combined military force, I want to see who fights us." Said the 4th strongest Beast King, Andrew. Andrew was a Snake-kin. Andrew looked very excited.
"Even the Istarin Empire won't be able to do anything in front of our combined power." The 5th strongest Beast King said arrogantly. His na was Robert. Robert was the Patriarch of the Lightning Panther Clan.
John was very happy to see that Andrew, Ethan, and Robert had agreed with his plan. Now Oliver, the 1st and the second strongest Beast Kings were left. Till now, the second Strongest beast King hadn't said a single word.
Her expression hadn't changed much during this entire eting. She slowly cut the steak and ate it while listening to everyone's opinions. She was one of the oldest beast kings. She was probably more experienced than any other Beast King.
Despite having t her so many tis, no one in this room had ever seen her face. For so reason, her face appears different every ti they et. At first, everyone mistakenly assud that she could shapeshift and change her appearance whenever she wanted. But later, from the strongest Beast King, others learned that this was nothing but a disguise. As for her real appearance, no one has seen it yet.
"Lady Eleanor, please give us your opinion on this matter." John respectfully asked.
In front of her, even the arrogant Andrew had to be respectful.
Lady Eleanor slowly finished chewing before she raised her head and looked at John. At that mont, John felt as if his soul had trembled for a second.
