"Your Majesty, I am glad to see that you're in good health." Adam was kneeling in front of the Emperor of the Echo Dominion Empire, Daxton. Right after the war ended, Adam returned to the Echo Dominion Empire to et the Emperor. For the last few days, Adam has been constantly trying to have a eting with the Emperor. But for so reason, his request always has been rejected. The Emperor didn't just refuse to see Duke Adam, but he also refused to see any other nobles. This kind of thing has never happened before. Adam wanted to discuss his decision to oppose the Istarin Empire with Daxton in hopes of persuading him to change his mind.
But now that the war was over, Adam imdiately ca to see Daxton. Daxton and Adam had a very close relationship on a personal level. Although the Emperor never openly said it or showed it, it was clear that Daxton was very fond of Duke Adam. Beyond their statuses as Emperor and Duke, these two can be considered close friends.
Seeing Adam kneeling before him, Daxton said while smiling. "Adam, you're the father-in-law of the Dragon Monarch. How many tis do I need to tell you that you don't have to kneel in front of ?" Adam had a very high status. As the father-in-law of the Istarin Emperor, Adam should not be kneeling in front of anybody. But Adam did not move. He kept his head lowered and responded. "Your Majesty, yes, I am the father-in-law of the Dragon Monarch, but I am also the Duke of this Empire." This whole situation had brought up sothing not so pleasant. Once the Echo Dominion Empire tried to attack the Istarin Empire, Duke Adam made his stance clear. He did not use his power and authority as the Duke to turn against the Empire. He did not respond to the call of the Empire to fight the Istarin Empire either. He chose the 3rd option which was to relinquish all that he was given by the Empire and just leave this Empire with his wife. This whole situation made it clear that, yes, Duke Adam was loyal to the Echo Dominion Empire, but blood was thicker than blood. Aditya, the Emperor of the Istarin Empire has married Duke Adam's one and only beloved princess. Even the Wild Lion isn't wild and ferocious enough to point his sword at his own daughter. Now, Daxton had no intention of fighting the Istarin Empire even if, one day, his Empire gained the sa level of military power as the Istarin Empire. The thought of fighting Aditya never crossed his mind. This whole situation made Daxton realize where his friend Adam's priorities lie. 'Well, it's to be expected. I would have done the sa if I was in his position.' Understanding this, Daxton held no resentnt or anger towards Adam. The only thing he felt was a slight disappointnt from Adam's decision. At the sa ti, he was very disappointed in himself for being manipulated so easily. Because of this, his Empire has massively suffered. It would probably take a few years, if not an entire decade, to recover from this loss. "Stand up, Adam...!!" Adam stood up while looking at Daxton. "Thank you for your service to this Empire. Even in tis when I was mind-controlled, you fought to make things right. I am impressed." Adam was the only Duke who fought against the orders of the Emperor. Other dukes instantly gave in even though they knew this decision would heavily harm the Empire's interest and could potentially lead to its end. "I deserve no praise for my actions. There are things that I could have done better." "I have just fulfilled my role as the Duke of this Empire. I have done nothing more, nothing less." Daxton nodded his head in satisfaction. "Though, it's unfortunate that one General who had past enmity with tried to take advantage of the situation and ended up being killed by my son Aditya. This was very regretful. The Echo Dominion Empire has lost a capable 5th-order general because of it." "I seriously wish I could have prevented his death," Adam said this because he knew that the Empire had suffered because of this. It would probably take a long ti for the Emperor to find soone suitable enough to fulfill his role. Sigh.....!!!
Rembering the enmity between these two, Daxton sighed out loud. For this reason, over the years, Daxton has purposely kept these two out of each other's sight. But all of that changed in an instant. "It's alright!" Daxton waved his hand. He wasn't feeling regretful because he had lost a capable general; he was feeling regretful because the Echo Dominion Empire now had one less 5th-order cultivator. This ans that the Empire now has lost one of its strongest pillars. It would take many decades for the Empire to find another talented cultivator and for that cultivator to beco a 5th-order powerhouse. "He deserved it. He stepped out of line when he tried to take your life." Hearing this, Adam nodded his head, feeling relieved. "By the way, to make sure sothing like this never happens, I must take steps to protect my mind." Daxton would absolutely never allow for sothing like this to happen. "Unfortunately, our Empire lacks n and resources." 'Maybe Emperor Aditya will be able to do sothing about this.' Daxton thought in his mind. He planned to discuss this topic in their upcoming eting. Daxton hoped to wash away the disappointnt that he felt with himself and his losses with alcohol and tomorrow wake up to a new starting. "Alright, it has gotten late. You should go to bed." Aditya said to Clara while folding his arms. "Brother, it's only 9. Let play for one more hour." Woof.....!!!
The half-dragon wolf also barked as if agreeing with Clara. Aditya glanced at the half-dragon pet for a second before looking at Clara. "Have you completed your howork?" "I have." Clara finished her howork at school.

Hearing this, Aditya rembered that they no longer lived in the Dragon Palace. After shortly ending their honeymoon, for the sake of convenience, they stayed in the Dragon Palace. But that was only because of the ongoing ergency situation. Now that everyone was resolved, they would go back to living in their own house. "Spencer, you're more than a Pri Minister in my eyes. Hearing this, Julia almost tripped. The Goddess hurriedly left the living room without turning back. Lilith giggled, seeing Julia's reaction. "That reminds , I need to finish so work. I am leaving." Alicia quickly stood up and also left. "I will see you in Aditya's bedroom." Hearing this, Alicia's footsteps only quickened. "Hehe!! They are so fun to tease." Lilith said to herself. Now, she was waiting for her next target. "I am leaving." Sasha disappeared in thin air before Lilith could have the chance to tease her. Sasha might be the only one who isn't affected by Lilith's teasing. "Goodnight, Husband!!" Giving a quick kiss to Aditya, Lara also left. Lilith thought that Aditya would teleport to his bedroom imdiately, but instead, he sat on the couch and was reading a docunt. Lilith waited, but nothing happened. More than 30 minutes passed, but nothing happened. Seeing this, Lilith could not hold her frustrations inside any longer. "Why are you not returning to your bedroom? It has been days since you have done it. It's clear that your wives are expecting you in your bedroom." Hearing such vulgar words, Alia blushed slightly, but then she also glared at Lilith. "I will join you shortly. I want to talk to Mother about my powers." Aditya nodded and then disappeared. As he walked through the hallways while carrying Lilith, sothing strange was happening to her. Her face was flushed red. She was panting while looking very excited. Her body was slightly shivering from anticipation. Aditya felt that changes within Lilith. She cannot hide anything from his super senses. Pa...!!!
