A little before Aditya and Laura ca to the torture Scene,
"How long are we going to wait here?" Kaoru felt really bored. They have been waiting on this route for the Dragon Monarch and Laura for almost two and a half days now.
She had to admit that the plan that the higher-ups had co up with was really good. Instead of trying to follow their trials, it was way better to wait for their target.
A part of her felt really frustrated about this whole situation.
She and her team had worked without taking any rest. They spent days and nights. Not even any al breaks were taken by anyone from her team. They managed to track their target in Brightmor City. If not for Alex Jones attacking her and starting a fight within the city, they wouldn’t have been forced to leave the city.
Kaoru could have captured the target on her own and received all the credit. The credit points would have been enough to exchange for valuable cultivation resources that she could have used to finally break into Beginner 7th-order.
For a century, her only goal was to reach that ultimate level. To her, this was the Peak of her cultivation Journey. But crossing the border between the Peak 6th-order and the Beginner 7th-Order is no joke. Kaoru was stuck in this realm. No matter how much she tried, she couldn’t cultivate.
Cultivation had essentially beco useless to her. She needed so kind of external boost to make that break through. This is why she worked so hard to find Aditya and even prepared extensively to fight him.
"Wolf, how are things in the other two routes?" Asked Kaoru.
Right now, all cloaked mbers of the organisation were wearing masks like Wolf. So no one could recognise them, and after this mission is over, they all could go back to their whatever life they were living without needing to worry about any kind of attention.
’I still can’t understand why the Leader would send his so-called adopted Son here.’ It’s not that Kaoru doubted Wolf’s strength; it’s just sothing about Wolf felt off from the beginning.
It was like he was constantly observing everything. There was nothing wrong with observation. But Kaoru felt like he was going above and beyond.
Right now, Kaoru and Wolf are responsible for this route.
Moros and a few other Peak 6th-order powerhouses went to other routes.
"Still no sign of our targets." The two core mbers sat a little further from the crowd. They purposely sat at the back, with the inner mbers and the servants sitting and standing in front of them.
This essentially created a shield for them. This was to keep themselves out of sight.
This was their first ti doing missions in public. They were told to strictly hide their identities. Not even the na of their organisation should be leaked to the public. The organisation still wasn’t ready to go public. This was a direct order from the Big Boss.
"Kaoru, I have to tell you sothing." Wolf thought for a mont and decided to share his doubts with Kaoru.
He was hoping that when the ti ca, there would be people on his side.
"What?"
"There is a mole in our ranks."
"Whatttttt?" Kaoru had a shocked expression. Given how secretive and tight everything is kept within the Organisation, she thought that there was no chance that a spy or mole could enter the Organisation. And with the Soul Binding Contract, it was impossible for them to betray the Organisation.
"Yes! Father have a strong suspicion."
"And I have a feeling that mole is Moros." Wolf tried to investigate Moros, but it was impossible. This was mainly because of the mission’s importance and Moros’s cleverness. Moros also knew that Wolf had seen sothing. So that sa night, he used a channel to send the Letter.
Wolf then explained what he saw yesterday. Hearing his explanation, even Kaoru began to feel that Moros was the mole strongly.
"If he is the mole, isn’t there a strong chance that he will let the target leave and lie about even eting the target?" Seeing Kaoru’s reaction and her question made Wolf secretly very happy.
He also felt relieved.
With this, he can finally gain his Father’s trust and elevate his standing in the Organization to an even higher level.

Back to Present,
"What’s happening?" There was a big crowd surrounding them.
As soon as he had a clear view, he froze in place. At the centre of the street, there was 6 Dragonians along with a few other Dragons in their human form tied with special chains.
And so mysterious figures wearing black cloaks were constantly hitting them with sharp, thorny whips.

A strike from the thorny whip left a deep cut on one of the Dragon’s chests. The thorns on the whip were curved like a fishing hook. This ant that each ti they were hit by the whip, the curved thorns went into their flesh and violently tore bits of their flesh out.
This strike from the whip left a bloody sight. Each of the whip thorns had a bit of his chest muscles.
It was a very cruel and violent sight.
And heartbreaking for the Dragon Monarch himself.
Aditya closed his eyes, hearing the painful scream of his n. The scene was so heartbreaking that he couldn’t bear to keep looking.
"Aditya!!!!"Laura held his arm while whispering his na into his ear. She was trying his best to comfort him, but at this mont, it was simply impossible.
It wasn’t hard to guess the identity of these mysterious man in black cloak. They definitely belong to the organisation that has been after them.
’It seems they already knew that we would pass through the Pine Zone.’ This was a trap.
It was not just any trap; it was an emotional trap for the dragon King. They knew that there was a chance that the Dragon Monarch and the Goddess could disguise themselves so well that they wouldn’t be able to find them from the crowd. But if it was sothing that one of them really cared about, then they could spot or catch their prey no matter how well they hid or disguised themselves among the crowd.
No matter how cruel and cold Aditya was to his enemies, he always treated his people with respect and kindness. And that kindness for his people wasn’t sothing that he showed in front of the public to maintain his image. So seeing sothing like this made him extrely furious.

"What’s happening here?" One of the travelling cultivators could not help but ask a nearby group.
When he asked the question, Aditya and Laura, who were close to them as well, also heard what they were talking about.

But everyone, regardless of whether they understood what these people wanted to do or not, left the scene because they had to cross the route. Standing here and watching this cruel torture wasn’t sothing that 99.999999% enjoyed.
Laura felt her heart pounding with anger.

But she was even more worried about Aditya.
When she looked at him, she saw him staring at the Dragonians with blood red eyes. His eyes didn’t even blink.

’What kind of king will I be if I look away?’
"I have seen many cruel things while travelling around the world, but this might be one of the coolest things I have ever seen in my life."
"Well, it’s their Emperor’s fault for ssing with the wrong group."
Nurous of the mysterious figures in this group were really strong. Everyone could sense that this group was overwhelmingly strong. No travelling cultivator, rchant, or any group was willing to get themselves in trouble just to help these captured soldiers.
Everyone stopped for a few minutes to ten minutes to watch the scene, then silently left.
anwhile, Laura looked at the mbers of the organisation. There are 11 mysterious beings in black cloaks. Behind them, another group stood, but it was not as strong as the one in black cloaks. This group was rely a low-order servant .
There were about 20 servants. The highest strength of the servant is the Mid 5th Order.
"How long have they been doing this to these poor soldiers?" Asked the sa man.
"I don’t know."
"But I heard from another group who just left, that it has been several hours, if not more. Each ti these soldiers are at the brink of dying, these people would feed them high-ranking healing pills, which would heal them. Once they are healed, these people would repeat the sa torture again."
Aditya tightly clenched his fists. His nails dug into his palm flesh and started to bleed.
At the sa ti, his killing intent began leaking out.
The killing intent that was forged by killing millions upon millions of powerful beings was very unique and different from normal killing intent.
It was thick, heavy, and felt like the true definition of chaos.
"Laura, hide within the crowd." His voice was very cold.
"No, let fight with you." At this mont, she wanted to help him.
"But this is what they want." Despite nearly losing control of his killing intent, he still managed to analyse the situation. His priority of protecting her was still at the very top. If she also fought with him, he would need to split his attention. This could hinder him from fighting at his full capacity.
Kaoru was bored to death. Then she saw two familiar figures whom she had t before and also had been looking for.
Kaoru stood up while staring at Aditya.
The Dragon Monarch also stared at her.
At the sa ti, the bright sky turned dark. Slowly, Crimson Lightning began flickering around him.
