There’s no one in need of her rescue for now, so morality can be set aside.
Beauty... Shen You’an absolutely doesn’t need it, she can abandon that.
Shen You’an opened the IQ option in the system. There were a total of five progress bars representing stages of advancent, each indicating the degree of human intelligence developnt.
The question database contained over a hundred million test questions. Shen You’an must follow the system’s prompts, complete the challenges, and advance.
0%-20% [Keen Sight and Hearing] required 1 point to unlock; Shen You’an had already achieved this in her second year with the system.
To unlock the second stage, [Quick-Wittedness] required 100 points. Shen You’an spent seven years reaching 90% on the progress bar. At this level, she’d already surpassed 90% of Earth’s population.
If she couldn’t break through this stage soon, in the talent-stacked Class A, Shen You’an wouldn’t be able to maintain her position as first.
The third stage, [Resourcefulness], required 1000 points to unlock, with an even greater difficulty.
And so on, the points required for the subsequent stages only increased.
Shen You’an had poor health as a child, so she spent so points purchasing martial arts skills to strengthen her body. This left her points depleted; even if she didn’t rescue Qi Baotan, the five hundred points still wouldn’t be enough.
It seems she’d have to participate in more competitions.
Feeling the gazes of those around her, Shen You’an opened her eyes and turned slightly to glance sideways.
Caught in the act of staring, Gu Bichen showed no embarrassnt and instead smiled shalessly.
"Were you ditating?"
Shen You’an frowned slightly.
She relied on the system’s cheat to barely maintain her position as first, but the boy before her, along with the top students from various states seated in this classroom, truly possessed authentic talent.
Perhaps there were things she could learn from these top students.
Shen You’an nodded, "Yes, ditation helps clear distracting thoughts and focus the mind."
Gu Bichen grinned, "That’s a great habit. It seems I have much to learn."
Turns out, even academic gods learn from each other and exchange strengths.
Shen You’an raised her eyebrows and packed up her backpack.
"See you tomorrow."
Gu Bichen watched the slender figure of the girl leave the classroom with a bright smile.
"See you tomorrow."
The school gate was crowded with luxury cars.
Shen You’an walked through them indifferently.
Academy Spring was a neighborhood filled with school zone hos, adjacent to key campuses in the southern suburbs. Real estate prices were absurdly high.
A million certainly wouldn’t buy the best unit in Academy Spring. In fact, Shen You’an really did donate that million and deceived her uncle once again.
This school zone was vast, with a nearby subway station leading directly to the community’s entrance. Walking, however, would take about thirty minutes.
"Shen You’an."
A luxury car crawled at a snail’s pace, following Shen You’an. The car window lowered, revealing Gao Yuyue’s elegant face.
Her almond-shaped eyes were full and bright black, with subtly upturned corners, carrying an inherent air of superiority when she looked at others.
Shen You’an raised her eyebrows, "Mr. Gao, do you need sothing?"
"I heard you spent the whole sumr playing around and didn’t attend any tutoring sessions."
"Why would I need to attend tutoring?" Shen You’an retorted.
Gao Yuyue was montarily stumped, "Fine, you’re a genius, you don’t need it. But even the sharpest blade rusts if it’s not sharpened. I don’t believe I won’t surpass you in this sester’s entrance exam."
"Hmm."
The car window closed, and Gao Yuyue ordered the driver to speed up.
When the car had gone farther away, Gao Yuyue turned her head, leaned against the rear windshield, and sneaked another glance back.
Why couldn’t she control her mouth? Clearly, she wanted to offer Shen You’an a ride, but as soon as she spoke, it beca a challenge.
Gao Yuyue sat down angrily.
"Shen You’an, you’re so irritating."
But the truth was, she was irritated with herself.
~
"Young Master, President Lan asked to take you back to the family estate. Tonight is a family dinner."
Jiang Shengyao responded casually, glancing toward the roadside with disinterest. But that one glance froze him.
"Stop the car."
Jiang Shengyao called urgently, and the driver promptly pulled over.
Jiang Shengyao pushed the car door open and darted out like an arrow.
"So you’re from our school."
Jiang Shengyao had never forgotten the goddess he glimpsed in that internet café. Unfortunately, when he later camped out there, he never encountered her again.
Just now, he had accidentally noticed a figure from afar, and it was like a jolt of electricity sparked through his mind.
This silhouette—he would never forget it.
Jiang Shengyao excitedly reached out to grab the girl’s arm.
But the girl withdrew and turned quickly, avoiding his touch.
Realizing his overreaction, Jiang Shengyao hastily said, "Don’t misunderstand, I..."
Looking up, he froze completely.
Why was it Shen You’an?
Shen You’an raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Classmate, you must be mistaking for soone else."
But deep down, an uneasiness stirred. Jiang Shengyao was the only one who had seen her true face.
Jiang Shengyao’s expression turned cold, his deanor changing in an instant.
"Apologies."
Without another word of explanation, he turned and got back into the car.
"Tsk, this era of vanity..." Shen You’an shook her head, satisfied as she walked away.
anwhile, this scene had been clearly observed from inside another car by two girls.
"I didn’t expect Shen You’an to be so cunning, even Mr. Jiang is chard by her."
Lii Yinyin spoke disdainfully.
Qin Xiangge frowned, replying softly, "She is the Lanya Group’s top focus for training. Ayao’s interest in her is understandable."
"Xiangge, you still don’t understand people like her. What does good academic performance an? Social class is a mountain she can never cross in her lifeti. But getting close to Mr. Jiang instantly transforms her from a laborer into a boss’s wife. Anyone smart enough knows what choice to make. She clearly isn’t a fool."
"Xiangge, you and Mr. Jiang are the perfect match. Don’t let this low-born woman step over you. She doesn’t deserve it."
"What nonsense are you talking about? Ayao and I are just friends. I have no right to interfere with whom he chooses to associate."
Seeing Lii Yinyin preparing to say more, Qin Xiangge’s face darkened, "From now on, don’t speak this way. Whatever sches or tactics Shen You’an might have are none of my concern."
Lii Yinyin pursed her lips and fell silent.
Qin Xiangge turned her gaze toward the car window, watching Shen You’an’s figure disappear into the subway station’s entrance. Her hands, discreetly clenching on her lap, betrayed her emotions in the privacy of the corner.
When Shen You’an arrived ho, the atmosphere was eerily quiet.
She set down the dinner she’d brought, then went to her bedroom to drop off her backpack and pulled the curtains to change into her ho clothes.
As she was about to change, her eyes fell on a corner of the floor.
Frowning, she instinctively walked over.
There lay a paper bag, quietly, but its position was slightly different from where it had been.
Shen You’an narrowed her eyes and turned toward the neighboring direction.
She finally rembered what she had forgotten to tell Rong Xianning yesterday.
Not to enter her room.
