"Uncle Han, what exactly is going on?" Xie Shiyao approached Chairman Han, who had not yet left.
He was the company’s vice chairman, seasoned and highly connected.
Chairman Han’s eyes briefly flashed with a sharp glint before he let out a deep sigh.

Xie Shiyao’s expression changed drastically.
While Chairman Han had his own interests, he had always firmly supported Xie Beichun. As for Zhao Haotian, his family rely struck lucky when his father’s gamble turned him into a major shareholder from a commoner. Yet, deep down, Zhao Haotian remained crude and ignorant of proper managent.

The boardroom earlier had been charged with tension, as everyone seed eager to compete for the top position.
A blond-haired young man had calmly pointed out the sins and scandals weighing on the shoulders of each person.
The room was stunned into silence, as though frozen in fear.
Even the seasoned veterans dared not make a move, each adopting a submissive deanor.
Under such circumstances, Zhao Haotian was thrust into the chairman’s seat.
At that mont, everyone realized that this wasn’t so makeshift decision but a carefully orchestrated plan.
Fuming, Xie Shiyao stord toward the chairman’s office.
The secretary dutifully blocked her at the door. "Miss Xie, you can’t go in..."
"Move aside!" Xie Shiyao slapped the secretary across the face, her brows fierce and cold.
"You dare stop ?"

The office door swung open from the inside, accompanied by a mocking voice.
Xie Shiyao abruptly raised her head, her gaze venomous like a poisoned arrow.
"Zhao Haotian, how dare you steal my uncle’s position? Who gave you the guts?"
Zhao Haotian let out a cold laugh, disdainful and dismissive. "Xie Shiyao, wake up. Xie Beichun is under suspicion of murder. He’s done for. The Xie family is finished too. If you’re smart, stay quiet—otherwise, I’ll make sure all your dirty secrets beco public knowledge."
"Nonsense! My uncle could never commit murder. This is slander—I’ll sue you for defamation!"
"Sue ? Go ahead. I’ll be waiting right here for the court summons."
Zhao Haotian flaunted the attitude of a triumphant lowlife.
"You...!" Xie Shiyao was infuriated, her face flushed red, her neck stiff with rage.
Suddenly, soft footsteps sounded from behind her. Zhao Haotian imdiately dropped his sharp sneer and turned around, demonstrating exaggerated respect and obsequiousness.

The mont the youth looked her way, Xie Shiyao felt her blood run cold.

"Let’s hope so." The youth nodded with a gentle smile and walked away.
Zhao Haotian quickly jogged after him, displaying his servility without restraint.
It wasn’t until they disappeared from view that Xie Shiyao snapped out of it.
Amos, the alleged suspect behind the attempt to seize Xie Group, had just dismissed her concerns with re platitudes. How had she been so easily swayed?

Chasing after him, she realized the two figures had long vanished.
"Damned bastard." Xie Shiyao vented her frustration by kicking a trash can, then pulled out her phone to make a call.

"Mr. Xie, the public opinion right now is very unfavorable for us." Her assistant called, sounding heavy-hearted.
Xie Shiyao gritted her teeth. "Have you forgotten what my profession is? Deploy all the water armies we’ve raised. If I spot a single comnt harmful to my uncle or President Xu, you’ll all pay dearly for it."
The assistant hesitated briefly before responding with a soft acknowledgnt.
There seed to be sothing he wanted to say but chose not to.
The entertainnt section might be manageable, but the financial and social sectors—there was no controlling them.
The case had spiraled into a massive national incident, gaining attention across the country.
Moreover, the assistant keenly felt as though an invisible hand was manipulating online sentint behind the scenes.
For now, it seed futile to point this out, as it would only provoke an unjust tirade from Xie Shiyao.
