The cafeteria was livelier than usual at noon; after all, the school forum’s "Most Handso" voting deadline was tonight at 8 p.m.
Currently, Leng Yunyang was leading far ahead, with Jiang Shengyao following closely behind.
Liu Runxi and Gu Bichen were just there to make up the numbers.

Leng Xuexi spared no effort in mocking Leng Yunyang.

Disinclined to argue further, Leng Xuexi called over a passing classmate, picked up her tray, and left.
The girl she called over blushed as she glanced furtively in Leng Yunyang’s direction, timidly murmuring, "Xue Xi, you and your brother don’t look alike at all. When you two sit together and joke around, you seem more like a couple."
She had been observing from a distance for quite a while; their sibling dynamic truly did seem unusual.
Leng Xuexi froze upon hearing this, and the thought of the mystery surrounding her and her brother’s origins brought chaos to her mind.
"What nonsense are you spouting? He’s my brother—my biological brother."
Seeing Leng Xuexi’s face darken, the girl stuck out her tongue. "Sorry, Xue Xi, I didn’t an to say anything inappropriate."
Leng Xuexi put her tray into the self-service dishwasher, took out a napkin to wipe her hands, and walked out of the cafeteria with her head down.
Lost in thought, she accidentally bumped into soone and quickly apologized.
"It’s okay." A gentle voice rang out from above her.
Leng Xuexi looked up in surprise, the boy’s warm gaze like a spring breeze stirring her heart.
The boy curved his lips into a smile. "I figured you didn’t do it on purpose."
As he spoke, the boy suddenly raised his hand, prompting Leng Xuexi to instinctively step back.
The boy smiled and shook his head, brushing a stray grain of rice off the top of her hair.
Leng Xuexi’s cheeks instantly flushed bright red.
The boy wrapped the grain of rice in a napkin, threw it into the trash can, and walked away as though nothing had happened.
Leng Xuexi stared blankly at his retreating figure.
"So gentlemanly, so considerate—ah, Xue Xi, do you know who he is?"
Leng Xuexi thought for a mont. "That’s Gu Bichen, isn’t it?"
The girl gasped. "You know him? Oh, I forgot your brother is in the sa class as him."
Leng Xuexi recalled the photos on the forum. In person, he was far more animated and gentle than his official pictures suggested. When his eyes t hers, she couldn’t help but feel entranced.
Having grown up in a harsh environnt, she had absolutely no resistance to gentle people.
Leng Xuexi shook her head, dispelling the chaotic thoughts from her mind, and walked out of the cafeteria.
