Wang Chiru took a deep breath and nervously asked, "Liu, are you okay?"
He could never forget the scene he just witnessed.
The boy sitting in the front row, so gentle and serene like a breeze and moonlight, had transford into a swift leopard. With unbelievable speed, he leapt onto the stage and embraced the girl who was about to be hit by the top light, shielding her from a calamity.
The front row of seats was at a certain height from the stage. With what strength did he charge up there? It reminded him of that mont in the docuntary "Man and Nature" when a leopard catches its prey.
Nature favors the strong, and for survival, leopards must desperately evolve the extre speed to seize prey in an instant, but such unnatural speed often cos with great risks.
Animals fight so hard to survive.
So what about Liu Runxi?
Perhaps Shen You’an was his destiny, no, more important than his life.
The audience was in chaos.
Lan Man was shocked, and she rushed to the stage imdiately, while Pearl, with his gentlemanly elegance, revealed a look of distress.
Shen You’an gazed at the dark beam overhead, as though it were a black hole devouring everything.
The boy’s face was nestled against her shoulder, the hot breath from his breathing causing her skin to shiver in waves.
His hand was tightly gripping her waist, so tight that she could barely breathe.
Yet his other hand was protectively cradling the back of her head, ensuring she was safe from start to finish.
In those few seconds when the light ca crashing down, he had rushed up from below the stage and they rolled clear.
She couldn’t comprehend it; this speed defied the laws of physics.
Could it be that he, too, bore a system that honed his physical prowess beyond that of ordinary people?
Otherwise, this scene was inexplicable.
"Liu Runxi."
She softly called out.
Not daring to make any sudden moves.
She wasn’t sure if Liu Runxi was hurt.
But from the increasingly heavy breaths of the boy, it wasn’t hard to tell he was enduring pain.
With a sigh in her heart, ever since they t, he was always on the path of getting hurt.
She didn’t like debt, yet it seed she owed him more and more.
Even if Liu Runxi hadn’t rushed forward, this falling light wouldn’t have hard her at all.
Liu Runxi didn’t know that every ti she faced danger, he would throw himself in front of her without hesitation.
The boy was youthful yet pure, with a sincere heart that always prioritized her safety.
A vague, indescribable emotion welled in Shen You’an’s heart, a swelling ache that was hard to bear.
Living two lives, apart from the man who draped a coat over her in the cold, only he has unconditionally shielded her from storms and perils.
In response to her was the boy’s heavy breathing.
Shen You’an sensed sothing was amiss, helping him to his feet, only to see under the light that his face had turned completely pale.
"Xixi." Helian Yu’s shrill cry pierced through the eardrums, pushing aside Lan Man and dashing straight to the stage.
When she saw Liu Runxi’s terribly pale face, seemingly enduring trendous pain, her fingertips trembled beneath her sleeves.
The boy gave a self-deprecating smile, his dark eyes quietly gazing at Helian Yu, just looking at her without a word.
The boy’s eyes were dark and bright, so pure, as rich as ink, so shiny they could reflect a person’s image.
Helian Yu’s heart inexplicably trembled, guiltily averting her gaze.
She coldly and heartlessly glanced over Shen You’an’s face; a brush could never capture a tenth of the girl’s vivacity and beauty.
Yet such unparalleled beauty ca with lethal poison.
Xixi didn’t even care about his life for her.
The imagined scene was far less shocking than witnessing it firsthand.
At this mont, her desire to kill Shen You’an reached an unprecedented peak.
Her beauty was toxic, and if this continued, Xixi would die.
As their eyes t, the girl’s eyes were more beautifully spirited, yet like an abyss, harboring unknown dangers.
Helian Yu, with her status, had dealt with countless prominent figures, all the more imposing.
Yet none instilled the fear that this girl before her did at this mont.
Within those eyes lay murder.
She also wanted to kill herself.
This realization terrified Helian Yu, suddenly recalling that kidnapping incident, Shen You’an’s ans and mystery.
To disguise her own loss of composure, she almost urgently and frantically turned her head, shouting to Lan Man, "Lan Man, my son encountered this incident at your school, you must give an explanation, or I will not let you go."
