The patients sent to Mingren Hospital were inevitably either wealthy or of noble status. Over the years, every patient he had treated had so significant background, and for the dean to personally call, this patient was no exception.
The expert put on his reading glasses, walked into the consultation room, and saw the young man lying on the hospital bed.

Doctor Yan disinfected his hands and stepped forward, preparing for a physical examination.

It was swollen compared to the right, accompanied by purplish blood spots.
He couldn’t help but frown.
His fingers, skilled and precise, pinched the thigh.
"Does it hurt here?"
The boy’s expression remained unchanged.
"How about here?"
He carefully observed the boy’s face, not missing the pained yet stoic expression.
He sighed, already knowing from his journey here how the boy had gotten injured.
The ligants’ rupture of this degree suggested how desperate he must have been at the ti.
The radiology departnt called; the MRI results had been expedited.
The results weren’t promising.

The boy suddenly looked up, bracing to sit up.
"No, doctor, my leg can’t be useless..."

Doctor Yan prevented him from getting up.
The calm in the boy’s eyes finally shattered; he looked at Doctor Yan with hope: "I have sothing very important to do. My leg absolutely cannot be useless."
Doctor Yan sighed: "Don’t worry. As long as you follow my treatnt plan and behave, your leg will get better, but how much it recovers depends on luck."
The boy lowered his lashes, appearing sowhat fragile.
Doctor Yan couldn’t bear it. After all, this young man ended up like this trying to save soone.
"Everything will be alright."
He thought, the person this boy saved must be very important to him.
After swelling was managed, Liu Runxi was moved to a private ward.
Doctor Yan, wearing his reading glasses, worked late into the night drafting the surgical plan, disturbing several old friends, to ensure there were no mistakes.

Having been a doctor for so many years, he had co to accept life and death, but towards this boy, he couldn’t help but feel softhearted.
