Inside the room, an elderly lady dressed in silk pajamas, her hair disheveled, wielded a Peach Wood Sword, slashing wildly throughout the space.
As she hacked away, she cursed aloud, "Out! All of you get out! If you dare cling to again, I’ll have the Mage banish you to the eighteenth level of hell, never to reincarnate..."
The elderly lady suddenly pointed the Peach Wood Sword at a vase, yelling, "Sang Ziming, why haven’t you reincarnated? Why are you haunting ? Is it because the offerings I burned for you weren’t enough? Do you resent ? What right do you have to resent ? Victory belongs to the strong; you lost, accept your fate..."
Han Yue crouched in the corner, watching the scene unfold before her with a numb expression.
During the day, the elderly lady prayed and ditated in the Buddhist hall, appearing quite normal, but once night fell, it was as if she beca a different person—refusing to sleep, clutching the Peach Wood Sword, and rambling incoherently like a madwoman.
No matter how many renowned doctors consulted or rare dicinal herbs were brewed, nothing resolved the issue.
Later on, the elderly lady grew superstitious about mysticism, converting a room into a Buddhist shrine. On one side, she invited revered monks for guidance, while on the other, she sought the Heavenly Master to perform rituals. She tried it all, believing everything.

A maid knocked on the door, and Han Yue walked over to open it. The maid handed her a tray.

Han Yue lifted the bowl from the tray, not bothering to glance at the person in front of her. She imdiately turned and rushed toward Old Madam Yu.
"Madam, please drink this bowl of Calming Tea and rest early tonight."
i Lvge, still wielding the Peach Wood Sword and slashing randomly, suddenly glared at Han Yue. "Sang Ziming, I’ll kill you..."
With that, she raised the sword and swung it fiercely at Han Yue.
Han Yue quickly stepped back, retreating to the corner, but i Lvge chased after her relentlessly.
"Sang Ziming, you vile woman! Even in death, you haunt ! The one who betrayed you was Yu Tiezhu—why don’t you go after him? Oh wait, I forgot, the two of you must have reunited in the underworld already! Hahaha..."
"Madam, please look closely. I’m Yue..."
Han Yue shouted while dodging. Despite her age, i Lvge’s years of focus on health upkeep kept her strong. Coupled with her penchant for tricks, the Peach Wood Sword was a whirlwind in her hand, swift and impenetrable. Han Yue truly feared the elder might accidentally injure her.
"Vile woman... vile woman..."
The sword ca straight for Han Yue’s heart, and in that instant, she froze, stunned into silence.
Yet, just as the blade’s tip was about to pierce her heart, it abruptly stopped.
i Lvge rolled her eyes and suddenly collapsed to the ground.
The Peach Wood Sword slipped from her hand and fell to the floor.
"Madam..." Han Yue hurriedly knelt to support i Lvge.
Han Yue looked up sharply, glaring at the maid standing in the doorway. "What are you standing there for? Co help !"
The maid lowered her head and quietly approached, assisting Han Yue in carrying the unconscious i Lvge to the large bed, supporting her on both sides.
As the maid subtly nudged the tip of her foot, a small stone rolled into the corner unnoticed by Han Yue.
After tucking i Lvge in snugly, Han Yue sighed deeply. "The elder’s condition is worsening; we must contact the eldest son."
The maid picked up the Peach Wood Sword from the floor and placed it by i Lvge’s bedside.
The old lady’s bed was a yellow pear wood masterpiece with intricate craftsmanship. The bed’s headboard featured a row of drawers, each secured with fine locks. Above the drawers was a narrow platform where a sword rack stood, and the Peach Wood Sword was usually displayed there.
The maid’s gaze briefly lingered on the locked rows of drawers before discreetly looking away.
Han Yue rubbed her sore neck and struggled to her feet. "Clean up the floor and get back to rest early."
It had been a long night for everyone; she didn’t intend to make things difficult for the maid.
The maid said nothing, squatted down to collect the shattered porcelain pieces, and left the room without a word.
The small courtyard returned to its state of tranquility, enveloped in absolute silence.
