Lei Jian glanced at his dozing teammate beside him. Hu Lin was only eighteen, high school-aged. He was ecstatic about going abroad, completely unaware of the dangers this mission entailed.

White Gloves had infiltrated Siland. Even in Huacai City, they had informants, and they quickly obtained the location where Yu Fuce was being held.
Lei Jian and Bob began formulating the plan for this mission together.
"You’re from PT’s rcenary group? Your skills must be impressive."
Bob sized him up and down.
To avoid exposing his identity, Lei Jian had told White Gloves they were from PT’s rcenary group.
"Then I’ll leave this mission to you. I’d like to see what PT rcenaries are capable of."
Lei Jian frowned slightly: "What do you an by that?"
Bob grinned: "Your boss is naive. He doesn’t understand what kind of place Huacai City is. Trying to rescue soone from there—the money he’s giving isn’t enough to have my guys risk their lives. We’ll handle the extraction and getting you out of the country, but as for going in to save soone, that’s all on your capability."
Lei Jian responded coldly: "You took the money and now you’re reneging on the deal?"
Bob smirked: "Without us, how would you even know the holding location, or the internal defenses and layout of Huacai City? Do you know how much that information alone is worth?"
Grinding his teeth, Lei Jian knew he was on their turf now and had no room to negotiate: "You’re certain your informant’s intel is accurate?"
"Of course."
"Fine. We’ll go in ourselves to rescue him. Rember your words—if there’s an issue with the extraction, don’t expect to get a single penny."
Bob flashed his teeth in a wide grin, his smile stark against his dark skin.
"Nobody sses with money."
Bob patted Lei Jian’s shoulder: "I’ll supply you with the best weapons. Good luck."
Lei Jian paused and said, "I have a request."
Bob raised an eyebrow in interest.
"I have a team mber; please assign him to your extraction crew."
Bob chuckled: "You really are a great leader. Sure, I’ll agree to that."
After Bob left, Lei Jian sat down, retrieving the handgun that had accompanied him through countless battles, and began carefully cleaning its barrel.
"Captain..."
The four teammates joining him on this overseas mission entered the room after Bob had left.
The youngest, Hu Lin, couldn’t help but ask: "Captain, when are we moving out?"
Without lifting his head, Lei Jian replied: "Tomorrow night."
Hu Lin’s excitent was evident: "For this mission, aren’t we supposed to pick a codena like usual? What should we call it?"
Yu Hai stepped forward, lowering his voice: "Captain, I just scoped out the area. Huacai City’s local influence in Siland is more extensive than we expected. That White Gloves is a snake, clearly taking the money but shirking his responsibility, leaving us as cannon fodder."
Yu Hai had been with Lei Jian the longest—steady-minded, sharp observation skills, and an indispensable support for the team.
Lei Jian hadn’t disclosed much to the four team mbers. He’d only told them they were heading to Huacai City in Siland to rescue soone, but hadn’t revealed the person’s identity, advising them it was better not to know.
Still, Yu Hai had deduced so of the details.
This mission was far more dangerous than any of their previous ones, and it was in the unpredictable and uncontrollable Siland’s top casino city.
Success was uncertain; whether all five of them could return in one piece was uncertain.
Lei Jian said indifferently: "We’ll leave it to fate."
He looked at Hu Lin, still brainstorming a mission codena: "You’re not participating in this mission. You’ll stay with Bob’s extraction team."
Hu Lin protested anxiously: "Captain, why?"
"It’s an order. Do as I say."
"But..."
Lei Jian shot him a sharp look: "Extraction is just as important."
Hu Lin reluctantly lowered his head: "Alright."
Lei Jian turned to the other three: "Pack up. We’re moving out tonight to Siland."
With Bob’s ticulous arrangents, their group of four successfully entered Siland.
They checked into a hotel across from Huacai City.
During the day, they used the internal layout and defense maps Bob had provided to draft their action plan.
Lei Jian pointed to the building’s top floor: "The target we need to rescue is in the room at the far end of the hallway, right after turning right on the top floor. Tonight at seven, I’ll enter Huacai City disguised as a gambler with Xiao Jiang and Xiao Wang. Xiao Wang will be responsible for creating chaos, while Xiao Jiang and I will locate the target and send him out of the window. Old Yu, you’ll stay below for extraction."
Although all three teammates had their doubts, out of trust in Lei Jian, none voiced them.
Lei Jian’s eyes were heavy: "For this mission, if we fail and end up captured, you know what to do."
The three nodded: "Protect our identities at all costs."
If necessary, choose death.
Lei Jian waved them off: "Get so rest until I give orders."
