On the bell tower of the church deep in the night, the cold wind rushed in through the window.

Losa leaned on the window, his black cloak blown high by the wind, revealing the dragon head emblem embroidered with gold thread.

He looked down at the man approaching slowly, glancing back at every step he took in the night.

Sneaky, indeed he seed to harbor malicious intent.

"Sir, you are right, his target is indeed the Holy Sepulchre Cathedral."

Anahad's face was grave as he continued, "This ti, we absolutely cannot let him escape again, let's move now!"

"Hmm, okay, but you go first."

Anahad was taken aback, puzzled, "Just alone?"

Losa nodded, "Didn't you say he's not your match? Show the skills of you demon hunters."

As soone who was always cautious, he rarely rushed in headlong when he wasn't sure of an enemy's strength.

Just in case this demon hunter actually contained an abyssal demon, he'd be in serious trouble without Jeanne by his side.

At the very least, he needed to leave so room for retreat.

Besides, he had no real camaraderie with Anahad.

Anahad was startled for a mont and nodded, "If he tries to escape, Sir, you must stop him and kill him as quickly as possible, as he might unleash the demon if cornered."

Losa nodded, "Rest assured, he won't get the chance."

The four of them left the top of the tower and rushed downward.

Midway.

Losa saw the monks stationed at the Holy Sepulchre Church, hearing the commotion, hurriedly picking up cloaks to cover sothing.

In the corner unshielded by the cloak, there clearly lay a Gwent card featuring his likeness.

Losa frowned, Archbishop William clearly hadn't paid attention to his instructions.

The monks on night watch in the tower were not only lax but were playing cards, distracted.

He wasn't sure whether to be angry or amused.

In the Holy Land, the influence of Gwent cards was rising rapidly, and sailors throwing their wages in taverns were spreading it back to Europe, the Eastern Empire, and Ayyubid.

Even the exclusive Arnians and Caucasus mountaineers began to engage in this entertaining activity.

Those who couldn't afford a deck found joy in holding a beer and watching in bustling taverns, making for a highly enjoyable pasti.

"Go ring the bell; the thief has arrived at the Holy Sepulchre Church, inform the clergy and knights to be on guard."

Losa instructed these anxious monks and continued following Anahad downwards.

In front of the Holy Sepulchre Church.

The hooded man, crouching stealthily by the wall, flicked out sharp claws with both hands, piercing the wall effortlessly like cutting cheese.

Just as he intended to climb, the man suddenly froze.

"Hanna, stop."

The hooded man turned around, revealing a sowhat youthful face.

"Anahad!"

His expression turned somber, "At this point, you still want to stop ?"

"You should know why I'm doing this. A re werewolf's power is far from enough for my revenge—that's our family's blood debt!"

"Give it up, Hanna, abandon this insane idea and co back to the school with —even a demon hunter can't deal with all demons. Abandon revenge."

Anahad said solemnly, "Just containing one middle-tier vampire made feel overwheld, and you dare to dream of housing an Abyss Lord? You're insane!"

Hanna retorted sarcastically, "So Anahad, how did this Abyss Lord end up sealed in a box by our predecessors?"

Anahad was slightly stunned.

Hanna sneered, "Our ancestor demon hunters gained such power, and I can too. You and those fossils in the school underestimate the limits of demon hunters, stalling to survive a few more years, clinging obstinately to the old ways, losing the enterprising spirit of predecessors."

Anahad's mouth revealed two white fangs, a thick scent of blood spreading: "Hanna, you've lost yourself in pursuit of power."

"Heh."

Black coarse hair grew wildly on Hanna's face, bones and muscles crunching.

"Anahad, I appreciate your care for in the past, but no one can obstruct my path. Only the power of an Abyss Lord can deal with another Abyss Lord!"

Hanna's muzzle stretched forward, eyes turned into beastly brown slits, glowed green in the dark, piercing the soul.

"Die, Anahad, I'll suicide to atone after my revenge is complete."

Hanna let out a suppressed growl, legs kicked on the wall, body shot toward Anahad like a bullet.

Anahad's blood aura fluttered up, the last hint of blood disappeared from his face, a pair of rotting at wings tore through the linen shirt, expanding.

Sharp claws extended out, his body muscled and knotted, not losing one bit to the werewolf-transford Hanna's build.

Boom!

The two collided, fighting like two fierce beasts.

At the sa ti, the big bell of the Holy Sepulchre Church rang out, waking all Jerusalem.

Furinjira teased, "Tsk, the vampires in this world are truly savage."

Observing the battle, Losa said solemnly, "What do you think of these demon hunters?"

In terms of agility or reaction speed, these two demon hunters surpassed him.

Although his spiritual power allowed him to capture their movents, his body couldn't keep up.

If he were to use all his trump cards without utilizing the Holy Spear, he estimated he could only deal with one.

Given this, Furinjira and Prajna should be able to overwhelm these two demon hunters.

Losa felt a bit assured.

As long as this demon hunter nad Hanna doesn't unleash the Abyss Lord with thoughts of mutual destruction, he can handle the situation.

Furinjira uncharacteristically showed a very interested expression: "Interesting! After liberating the demon's power, they're hardly different from real demons, yet they seem like regular people in normal tis."

"That's definitely worth starting a new research project—Sir, shall we take this Anahad back for dissection?"

Losa retorted irritably, "Don't joke. Anahad hasn't offended , nor is he a villain. How could one dissect him for no reason?"

Prajna shook her head: "Though they seem normal on the outside, in reality, their core has been seriously eroded. The more frequently they use demon power, the more severely the erosion spreads, sooner or later, their bodies will beco just like demons."

Losa frowned, "Being able to maintain sanity while using demon power is comndable."

"Indeed."

Prajna agreed, "Sir, you might request this kind of ntal power strengthening secret art from Anahad after the battle."

Losa nodded, "I'll rember it."

If the demon hunter's skills could isolate the influence of his dragon bloodline, he wouldn't have to allocate attribute points to spiritual power every ti he leveled up.

The battle was intense, ground cracked, earth and stones flew.

The commotion soon attracted a fully armored city guard army.

"Who goes there?"
