Becoming a Border Count is not considered a significant achievent.

What truly shook Jerusalem was Losa’s clear opposition to Regent King Raymond.

After exchanging pleasantries with a group of nobles, the smile on Losa’s face gradually faded.

Hans, dressed in a red and white cloak, stepped forward at this mont: "My lord, I must congratulate you on your promotion to Border Count. It reminds of two prominent royal families from our world, and you happen to be one of them."

"You an the Brandenburg Border Count and the Austria Border Count, right?"

The forr is the origin of the Hohenzollern Imperial Family; the latter is the origin of the Habsburg Imperial Family.

The Teutonic Order, where Hans resided, also belonged to the jurisdiction of the Brandenburg Elector, who concurrently held the kingship of Prussia in the setting of Yesterday’s Giant Ship.

"That’s because only these two Border Counts are worth being rembered in history. Among the sixteen border counties like ’Roussillon,’ ’Barcelona,’ ’Besalu,’ ’Girona,’ established by the Frankish Empire in Iberia, how many remain today?"

Hans laughed and said, "You’re right. It’s not because you were conferred the title of Border Count that you’re illustrious, but rather the title should be honored because of you."

Losa sighed with a bit of helplessness: "Alright, no need for flattery among our own people. I’ve heard similar words too many tis today, and if I hear any more, I might not be able to contain my pride."

"Hans, His Majesty intends to have you replace as the Grand Master of the Royal Knight Order, legitimizing your standing."

"I believe it’s quite the opposite; with you behind , I feel more secure as Commander."

Losa patted Hans on the shoulder: "No one would think that you replacing as Grand Master of the Royal Knight Order ans you betrayed .

Hans, I’ve always watched your growth and sincerely look forward to seeing you truly stand on your own one day."

Hans imdiately felt a heavy burden on his shoulders.

Imdiately after, with a bit of helplessness: "My lord, I feel my burdens are already heavy enough; please don’t think of commanding like you do Kurs."

Losa couldn’t help but laugh: "You cheeky boy."

He mounted his horse: "Bid farewell to His Majesty for , as I will take Prajna, Furin, and Chelina back to Hebron next."

"That really sounds like you’re going on a honeymoon."

"Do you see as soone who indulges in pleasure?"

Hans recalled and shook his head: "No, that’s why I said it ’sounds like,’ my lord, rest assured and leave; you can leave this to ."

"Hmm, if anything happens, you can consult Urding. He’s a very decent man, though he may dislike you because of your lineage, I have a feeling you two should get along."

Losa advised, raising his whip.

Two Winged Cavalry nodded slightly to Hans and then followed behind Losa, hoisting the banner of the Double-headed Eagle, heading towards Constant Manor.

...

Upon returning to the manor, Furin and Chelina hadn’t returned yet.

Prajna sat in a lounge chair in the courtyard, where the spray from the fountain shimred in colorful rainbow hues under the sunlight.

"Everything went smoothly?"

"Yes, everything went smoothly."

Their conversation was tacit, and the two Winged Cavalry accompanying Losa tactfully withdrew, leaving the empty courtyard to the two of them.

"When do we depart?"

"This afternoon. Let’s check on Chelina’s progress over the past couple of days later."

"Alright."

Losa took out a lounge chair and sat facing Prajna: "The Gallic War Chronicles, translate it for ."

"You listen to my stories every night, it’s ti you repay the favor."

Prajna frowned slightly: "Furin is obviously the one pestering you to recount, but if you want to hear, I’ll read it to you."

Prajna’s gentle voice reached Losa’s ears.

He squinted slightly, letting the dappled light filtering through the leaves cast onto his face.

Listening to Prajna’s narration, he quickly imrsed himself in the perspective of Caesar, the Great Emperor, leading his legions into Gaul.

Though it contained so exaggerations and inaccuracies, Losa still learned quite a bit.

For a long ti.

Prajna paused to ask: "Any thoughts?"

"Vercingetorix was a formidable figure, but unfortunately, the Gauls, though of the sa tongue and origin, were rely a loose alliance. If only they could unite under Vercingetorix, implent his guerrilla warfare and scorched-earth strategy, Caesar might well have been forced to retreat miserably."

Losa paused slightly, then added: "Saladin was similar, and so was Egypt under Adil’s rule. This is my opportunity to win the small against the big, to triumph over strength with weakness."

Prajna replied softly: "I’m glad you have thoughts."

Losa nodded: "I’m a bit tired, Prajna, do you rember the request from the beginning, in the campsite?"

"You want a lap pillow?"

"Yes."

"Then co."

Prajna’s voice held no obvious fluctuations, making Losa uncertain if she really intended it or not.

He hesitated, then tentatively pulled the deck chair closer and lay down gradually.

The feeling was reassuringly soft.

With a faint fragrance reaching his nose...

Prajna unfolded the old book in her hands, then said, "Do you want to keep listening?"

"No, I don’t; for now, I’m good."

Everything ca so naturally.

He quickly found clarity, focusing his attention on the reward he had newly acquired.

Byzantine is quite similar to the Eastern Empire of this world, maybe not exactly the sa, but close enough.

Caesar, Augustus, Trajan, Hadrian, Belisarius...

As an armored tank that attacks infantry formations from the front, Eastern Empire cavalry lacks the mobility compared to Crusader Knights, because their opponents are infantry phalanxes with formations.

As opposed to Crusader Cavalry, which are versatile, charging at infantry, confronting cavalry, and even fighting on foot in critical monts.

The advantage of these cavalry is that they can close in for shooting, shooting with near impunity against enemy infantry archers.

Holding their riding bows, they dare to face the enemy infantry archers directly.

Considering cost-effectiveness, this type of cavalry offers low cost-effectiveness and is not very practical because it is too expensive.

But that doesn’t an they aren’t strong.

They are better suited than Winged Cavalry to charge infantry phalanxes from the front or side.

The presence of an army like this may not be more practical than obtaining a Winged Cavalry unit, but all enemies will certainly think I am very wealthy.

In Losa’s heart, a clear thought unfolded, directing his focus to his newly acquired reward.

You can’t say it’s exactly the sa as the Eastern Empire in this world, but it’s not much different.

Caesar, Augustus, Trajan, Hadrian, Belisarius...

These were powerful images of historical conquerors and leaders.

The English Longbown versus the French Knights at the Battle of Agincourt is less of a victory for the English longbown and more indicative of the advantages of using tripwires, barricades, horse pits, and terrain like marshland.

Arrows alone could not penetrate the defense of French Knights in their full-coverage plate armor.

But a proper cavalcade, almost invulnerable with their heavy bows, remains a formidable force against enemy foot archers.

Considering the cost-benefit ratio, this type of cavalry is extrely low in cost-effectiveness and practicality because of their high expense.

Yet, ard with riding bows, they dare to confront enemy footarchers.

Having a force like this might not be more practical than acquiring Winged Cavalry, but surely every enemy would think I am wealthy."

In Losa’s mind, clarity erged as he focused on the rewards he had just gained.

Byzantine’s similarity with this world’s Eastern Empire can’t be said to be vastly different.

Caesar, Augustus, Trajan, Hadrian, Belisarius... they all ca to mind.

As a heavily armored tank confronting infantry phalanxes, Eastern Empire cavalry lacks the mobility compared to Crusader Knights, because their opponents are infantry formations.

As opposed to Crusader Cavalry, which are versatile, charging at infantry, confronting cavalry, and even dismount for combat in critical monts.

This type of cavalry can close in for shooting without fear, almost unperturbed by enemy foot archers.

While less cost-effective, they pose a threat to parthia or Sassanid Persia cavalry in the open field.

If such an army is not as practical as having a unit of Winged Cavalry, it would make all enemies think that I am wealthy, for sure."

In his heart, Losa thought.

Holding a riding bow in hand, you would also dare to face the foot archers from the opposite side.

With the reward obtained clearly in mind, you would not be thought any less.

The mont a desert can be turned into farmland, his territory could at least support a million people.
