"Sister, you are so beautiful."

The Wolf Race child, holding a bouquet of roses, was a bit shy as he approached Prajna, pushed forward by his group of little friends.

Prajna furrowed her brows and didn’t respond.

Standing among the crowd, she was like a negative pole magnet, exuding a strong repellent force. Even among the Wolf Race, categorized as "dark creatures," no one dared to approach easily.

After all, she was from Hell’s Ghost Race, legendary Hell ssenger, known for hooking souls.

Getting close was indeed considered quite inauspicious.

The boy, seeing Prajna not responding for a while, turned blushing red: "Is... is it not pretty?"

Prajna hesitated for a mont, but finally reached out and accepted the bouquet.

The vibrant red roses ford a stark contrast against her snowy white skin.

Jeanne, watching this scene with a gleeful smile from the side, felt a strong urge to capture the mont with a cara, as the child representing hope stood opposite the Ghost Race General representing death.

Bang—

A burst of sparks flew.

From behind the curtain of the lens, a cheerful Wolf Race youth erged.

He waved towards this side and shouted, "I’ll publish this photo in the Wolf Race United News, Ms. Prajna, do you mind?"

Holding the bouquet of roses, Prajna watched the child run off and silently shook her head.

But Jeanne interjected, "Wouldn’t it be a bit inauspicious?"

The young man laughed and said, "The new Wolf Race doesn’t believe in such things."

Jeanne gave a thumbs up, "Your thinking is quite progressive."

"Ms. Jeanne is from France, your thinking should be more advanced than ours, right?"

Jeanne shrugged, "Indeed, no matter how ’unorthodox’ the Wolf Race on the New Continent becos, they haven’t put the King on the guillotine."

The two shared a smile.

After spending so ti together, the Texas Wolf Race unexpectedly found the legendary Knight of Radiance to be quite approachable. At night during the bonfire gatherings, she would even bring a bottle of wine to join the central dances with everyone.

The "Soul Hooker" just didn’t like to talk much, but she certainly wasn’t a girl with a bad heart.

"Legends are indeed just legends."

People sighed like this.

"But that little girl from the Blood Royal Court, her temperant is indeed as unpleasant as the legends say. Truly, there’s no smoke without fire, not all legends are lies."

Ti quickly flew by amidst the busy war preparations of the Wolf Race Federation.

...

On the sea, the wind is calm.

The waves crash against the coastal rocks, smashing into white foam, falling back into the water with a shushing sound.

It’s another sunny and pleasant day.

Battista stood sowhat bored on the coastal watchtower, flipping through the yellowed pages of a book on the table, titled "Don Quixote"—Cervantes.

He was deeply engrossed, occasionally startled by the sound of birds flapping their wings as they passed by the watchtower, prompting him to hurriedly peek out to see if there was any unusual movent on the sea.

A routine glance.

"?"

The mont Battista instinctively withdrew his gaze, he imdiately looked back outside the watchtower. In an instant, his afternoon lethargy vanished, and he quickly stood up, frantically shaking the copper bell beside him.

The sound of the bell spread like a plague across the entire beach, and soon, a beacon fire was lit, with billowing smoke spreading like a plague along the entire coastline.

At the horizon, a massive ironclad warship was sailing towards the shore, trailing a billowing black smoke that seed to connect the sky and earth. As it got closer, people could even see the huge triple-gun turret on it!

...

Texas, Atakapa.

In this remote little fishing village, after a month away, new guests finally arrived once more.

Captain Hog stood at the bow of the Ghost Ship, saluting to Losa and his group, before the Ghost Ship sank back below the sea, leaving only a trail of bubbles that gathered and collided on the sea surface.

Like a lurking shark, it is the most dangerous when even its dorsal fin is not visible.

Captain Hog’s combat capabilities on land are limited, and the undead sailors are not truly immortal.

Once the Ghost Ship exhausts its soul energy reserves, they will not be able to resurrect.

Thus the Ghost Ship is Losa’s trump card, but not sothing that can be openly contested with these high-quality Wolf Race Expedition Army forces.

Watching Captain Hog leave.

Losa then noticed that Chelina had already walked quite a distance away.

She left a long trail of footprints on the beach, heading straight to a uniquely shaped, Easter Island statue-like rock on the shore, a place likely subrged during high tide.

Thus, the rock was covered with a variety of marine life.

Chelina unsheathed her sword, pried open one of the shells, and then fell into silence.

Though from a distance, Losa could vaguely see a graffiti of an adult holding a child’s hand carved on that rock.

But after being washed by seawater, it had beco very faint.

Chelina’s voice echoed: "When I was very young, my father brought most of the clan to Texas."

"In the early years, I would still co here occasionally to stay for a while. Atakapa was always the place I arrived by boat, and at that ti, my father would always bring the clan here to et ."

"Did your father stop allowing you to co later?"

"Yes, after I was sent to the Saluzzo Family."

Chelina covered: "Actually, I wasn’t very willing to co either. The clan got busier, more strangers showed up, and coming here wasn’t much fun, often I could only wander around the mountains alone."

Losa remained silent, feeling that the young girl was indeed very aggrieved.

She’s no fool; being made a hostage in such an obvious manner wouldn’t have been a pleasant experience, even with the Saluzzo Family, who had a good relationship with Basilicata.

Losa wasn’t good at comforting people, and after contemplating for a long ti, he rely said, "You’re going to see him soon, have you thought about what to say?"

Chelina shook her head and said, "There’s not much to say."

The Wolf Race girl clenched her fists and then released them, making Hans, who was silently observing her actions, worry whether he would witness a famous scene of "three punches to father."

"Let’s go. No matter what unresolved feelings or anger you have, you should find the person themselves to say it in person."

Losa’s tone was light as he patted Chelina on the shoulder.
