The pitch-black ghost dragon obscured the sun and covered the sky.

The city seed like a scene of ghosts roaming in daylight, drenched in a light drizzle, echoing with wailing cries.

Behind a Black Gulum, a withered evil spirit slowly revealed its form, carrying an ominous ghostly aura, yet it radiated a scorching heat.

Its decayed skull bore a long tongue like an iron bar, covered with sharp barbs.

In an instant, it wrapped around the necks of several nearby Black Gulums and snapped them.

It was a daylight demon spirit!

This ghost dragon, infused with the power of the Cuneiform Stone Tablet, had transford into a deity of ghosts, its domain tainted by its power. Places that would not naturally produce demon spirits, or lacked the conditions to produce them, suddenly gave birth to various demonic filth.

"It's a demon spirit, quickly, get the Demon-Blocking Golden Arrow!"

Soone shouted.

The Black Gulums were thrown into chaos; so took out their clan talismans, others began loudly praying to their tribal gods, holding their skull magical artifacts.

But after all, they were the elite selected by Adil from thirty thousand Black Gulums. Under Adil's command, they quickly regained their composure, surrounded the demon spirit, and fired a barrage of Demon-Blocking Golden Arrows. This demon spirit, newly born and weaker than the one Furin had slain, faded away rapidly as the arrows pierced it, disappearing without a trace.

Having slain this demon spirit, Adil felt no joy in his heart, and murmured softly, "Extraordinary..."

"Lord Governor, we should retreat now."

"We are simply no match for these monstrous creatures, please give the order!"

The personal guards urged him one after another, lacking the courage to face these gigantic demons.

Adil spoke, "Let the casters from the advisory group take action."

After speaking, he couldn't help but let out a long sigh.

It could be foreseen that after this battle, Rashid would most likely beco a dead city.

"In the eyes of these extraordinary beings, how could they possibly care about the lives of mortals? Even nobles treat common people like cattle, so to these long-lived beings with extraordinary power, how would they ever consider the lives of ordinary people?"

Adil's expression was somber, and, surrounded by the Black Gulums, he departed from Rashid without looking back.

...

Within Rashid City.

Ghosts ran rampant.

From many dry wells and residences, places with unnatural deaths, evil spirits and demon spirits erged, so corpses mutated and transford, digging graves to climb out. Rashid, as the capital of the Buhayra Province and a once flourishing ancient city, was now a place filled with corpses and rampant demons.

And this was rely the unconscious consequence of the ghost dragon's power overflow.

At this mont, Shemir could no longer care about these matters.

This madwoman seed determined to perish together with him, relying on her agility to ceaselessly launch assaults on him. Although the ghost dragon's power was formidable, it was a hastily elevated force, lacking precise control. If he were to attack this female assassin, it would most likely implicate himself.

Roar—

A soundless roar echoed.

Cherinita felt as though a thunderclap rang out beside her ear, followed closely by a dragon's breath filled with malicious intent, spewing towards her.

She intended to dodge, but the dragon's roar delayed her movents, allowing Shemir to free his hands, lifting his magic staff and unleashing a barrage of instantaneous spells. Lightning, fireballs, and ice cones ca crashing from all sides, accompanied by an intangible curse enveloping her.

Though the Throat-Squeezing Power is the bane of casters, it needs to hit the target to be effective.

Facing such dire circumstances, Cherinita's eyes remained calm and composed as usual. She crossed two azure treasure swords in front of her chest, unleashing the power to dispel magic upon them, sweeping away all the spells assailing her.

Then, just as the ghost dragon's breath was about to reach her body, she evaded by the narrowest margin, her trailing dress silently crumbling to powder.

Having been completely liberated, Shemir did not rush to attack. Instead, he swung his magic staff, layering protective spells upon himself.

Cherinita observed Shemir's actions, furrowing her brow. At this point, attempting to kill Shemir had beco nearly impossible, and a sense of retreat arose in her heart. If she were to die, it would only be aningful if it led to the enemy's downfall.

But if she were to lose her life without any accomplishnt, would it not waste the investnt her lord had made in her?

As the thought arose, she prepared to throw the talisman Furin had given her, but she heard a voice from inside saying, "Nina, hang on, we're almost there."

Cherinita's calm brown eyes unexpectedly rippled with a hint of emotion.

So, Furin had been watching all along.

In other words, originally intending to relieve her lord's worries, she ended up placing all her companions in danger.

She endeavored to steady her mind, expelling the negative emotions that arose unconsciously. With her nature, during a battle, she would never have allowed such distractions. It seed this too was the influence of the ghost dragon.

Boom—

Another dragon's breath swept across the sky. Wherever it passed, buildings decayed, plants withered, and living beings turned into zombies. In an instant, the area turned into a hellish landscape, even the earth tinged with deathly aura.

Just after evading the dragon's breath, Shemir's spells followed, layer upon layer of curse techniques. No matter how swiftly she moved, she couldn't dodge them, as if the caster's gaze alone was sufficient to land them upon her without the need to aim.

Her body grew increasingly heavy, and the flow of power within her was greatly impeded.

Yet another ghost dragon's breath was unleashed.

Though the ghost dragon's power level was high, its thods were singular. But singular does not imply lacking potency, and with Shemir's support, their combined threat was far more formidable than a simple sum of their parts.

At this mont.

A black door, vast as mountains and abysses, crashed to the ground. The ghost dragon's breath poured onto the door, causing the ghost face relief upon it to display an expression of both delight and agony.

Prajna appeared solemnly, erging from behind the shield.

With one hand supporting the shield, despite her tall stature, compared to the ghost dragon and the ghost face shield, she seed as small as an ant. Yet at this mont, she radiated an imnsely terrifying aura.

The ghost dragon, hovering mid-air, its scarlet eyes flickered with apprehension and greed. Whether it was the shield or the woman holding it, devouring either would greatly enhance its power.

Prajna frowned, feeling the ghost face shield's response.

The enemy was even more troubleso than she had anticipated. As a Gatekeeper of Hell, a born general of the Ghost Race, her power naturally countered most ghostly creatures.

But this ghost dragon was no ordinary ghost; it was akin to a ghost deity, albeit with low intelligence, it possessed so power of law. To capture it using the Gate of Hell, she would need to undergo her first elite transformation at least.

However, for this ghost dragon to breach her defenses wasn't a simple task either. In Hell, any being attempting to escape was more or less a Yin Spirit among ghosts, a hero of Hell. The gate of the Ghost Gate was not sothing they could easily break.

Jeanne frowned and said, "Such a powerful demon, Prajna might not be able to handle it."

Losa shook his head, "If she can't handle it, I'll intervene. Don't forget, I'm also considered a Darkness Slayer."

Jeanne was a trump card and shouldn't be used lightly.

In a ga, no one throws out the greatest card at the start, that would only lead to a lack of follow-up strength.
