"Possession"—these two familiar terms from cultivation novels suddenly flashed across his mind.

Everything made sense now.

The Ghost Dragon wanted to seize his body!

He possessed the Dragon Bloodline, having rged various dragon essences and powers. According to the dragon hierarchy of this world, his rank surely surpassed even that of the high-ranking Karelian Fire Dragon. From the beginning, the Ghost Dragon had aid to do this upon seeing him.

"So, am I now sharing a body with the Ghost Dragon?"

"No, no, that's not right. There is no shared body. My body is still with Rashid, Jeanne—they would never allow the Ghost Dragon to take my body and leave. Everything here... must be mories from when the Ghost Dragon was alive."

"This is what happened in the past!"

Losa muttered to himself at a rapid pace.

More and more scales covered his body—not the black scales that his previous half-dragon transformation had grown but identical to the black-red scales with lava patterns scattered on the ground.

In his daze, he realized his consciousness was rapidly fading, and another muddled awareness was about to awaken within him.

"Get out!"

Losa ramd his head against the stone wall, debris flying. He was so forceful, with determination, leaving no room for retreat. A strand of blood trickled down his forehead, and the intense pain made him briefly clear-headed.

"What's wrong?"

"Stay away from !"

Losa gritted his teeth to squeeze out a sentence. The physical distortion on him was far less terrifying than the ntal haze—he was terrified, fearing that if he fell asleep again, he would awaken as a Demon Dragon.

At this point, the girl seed to have realized sothing, and her body began to tremble violently.

This handso young man, whom she had regarded as a Foreign Prince, was now covered in a layer of red scales. A long tail whipped the ground furiously, while the magnificent armor on his body seed almost illusory, flickering upon his form.

The man clutched his head frantically, his golden eyes gleaming brightly in the dim cave.

The girl watched the frenzy-stricken Losa, finally making up her mind, and slowly approached.

"What exactly is wrong with you?"

"You look in pain, I can help you."

Her voice was soft, but anyone normal could hear the fear and hatred within it.

Unfortunately, Losa was no longer normal. His thoughts were stagnating, mories fading, from traveling through ti to when he was young before awakening mory pre-crossing...

Scenes once vividly rembered turned into black-and-white photographs.

By this ti, the girl had quietly approached Losa's back... It wasn't truly stealthy; the awkward assassin was so agitated she nearly slipped on a piece of scale on the ground.

She raised her sharp dagger, imbued with Demon-Blocking Gold, and lunged it fiercely towards the man's back.

Yet the man whose face grew dragon scales didn't dodge, leaving the girl feeling as though her arm had snapped—the Demon-Blocking Gold easily tore through the Molten Fire Scale Armor's defense but could advance no further.

The man abruptly turned around, his face mostly covered in exotic scales, golden eyes resembling two Hell flas. The sight scared the girl so much that she fell to the ground.

"Demon-Blocking Gold doesn't work on , only on it."

The man's voice was hoarse, seemingly suppressing so kind of pain.

"I'm not that Demon Dragon."

"When I wake up next ti, tell what happened."

His voice beca increasingly strained, like squeezing out words through clenched teeth.

Then, his body rapidly expanded as if inflated.

Bang—

The girl was thrown by the sudden appearance of the massive figure, feeling pain everywhere. She mustered strength to raise her head and saw the familiar, terrifying crown, lava-patterned black scales, and sharp bone spines along the back.

Her consciousness began to dissipate.

...

"Mom, I'm so hungry..."

The unconscious girl mumbled in a daze.

When the view before her gradually cleared, she saw the colossal beast, like a mountain, coiled inside the cave, breathing heavily and evenly, and suddenly she awoke in shock.

For reasons unknown, she felt that she wasn't in as much pain as before; only a fierce hunger gnawed at her. The intense hunger made her head dizzy, sitting there in stupefaction for quite a while before she began rummaging about.

A mont later.

She picked up the dagger, gazing at the clear notch on its blade, face full of confusion.

Demon-Blocking Gold is a demon-slaying weapon; the dagger was once enshrined in the temple of War God Tyr. Soone in the tribe had used it to slay an evil Wizard before—how could it have failed now?

The man said Demon-Blocking Gold was useless against him...

And he said he wasn't that Demon Dragon...

What did it an?

The girl was deeply bewildered; Demon-Blocking Gold was a nesis of the supernatural—it was undoubtedly a common knowledge for her, and dragons weren't unfamiliar monsters to the Northern Europe's Rurik Family.

Many powerful Viking warriors considered hunting dragons single-handedly as a mark of glory.

Eriksen, the family's strongest warrior, her father, had once used Demon-Blocking tal's war axe to kill a Sea Dragon, displaying its head in the Lord's Hall as a trophy.

So, was the man really not a Demon Dragon?

But she clearly saw it with her own eyes!

Couldn't comprehend.

Utterly incomprehensible.

Then, a gurgling hunger growled within the girl's stomach, occupying her thoughts. Almost instinctively driven, she approached the wall and began plucking the glowing plants on it to stuff into her mouth.

The taste was surprisingly good!

Her eyes widened, continuously feeding herself.

Was it an illusion? She could feel herself becoming much stronger.

The dragon suddenly opened its eyes, sowhat agitatedly snorting two streams of sulfurous white smoke from its nostrils, its indifferent golden vertical pupils closely observing the woman fumbling by the wall in the dark.

"Eating Dragon Blood Grass made this woman more alluring."

The dragon curled into itself, its breathing filled with suppressed excitent.

"No, must endure. Playing with her now, even if she consud Dragon Blood Grass and counts as half dragon kin, she'll soon die, can't have real fun. I must quickly fall asleep, wait until adulthood, then vent however I wish."

It closed its eyes again, silently as if it had never awoken.

This ti, the girl saw with her own eyes the giant dragon shrinking back into that handso man.

He still wore that luxurious armor on him, waking up with a sliver of confusion but quickly turned to relief, rubbing his forehead, he said, "I thought I wouldn't wake up this ti."
