"Mr. Venezia, should we take action?"

A Centurion inquired respectfully.

Venezia and Hans stood side by side, both followed by several Elite Centurions, all pure-blooded Basilicata clansn capable of transforming into werewolves.

"Let’s wait a little longer."

"Oh, alright."

The Centurion’s gaze toward Venezia’s back was sowhat complex; who could have imagined that the Clan Leader’s long-deceased father could co back to life, and moreover, in the pri of life, younger than Clan Leader Juliano.

Venezia glanced back at this Elite Centurion, hesitated, then asked, "Who is Leon the Tyrant to you?"

"That’s my grandfather."

"Grandfather... I thought it was your father."

Venezia smiled bitterly: "Did that old creature die? When?"

Though the Wolf Race lives long, it’s rare for one to die in bed; if Leon hadn’t died, he would have seen him by now during these days.

"During a border conflict with the xicans, they hired a Haitian Voodoo Wizard."

"Was revenge taken?"

"Yes."

Venezia said "Oh" and didn’t say anything more. Although he was still in his pri, he inexplicably felt an aging sense within himself.

All those familiar to him had died, even his never-t son grown old, hair at his temples turned white.

For a Bloodthirsty Mad Wolf obsessed with battle, he clearly wasn’t adept at handling such complex emotions, so he yelled a crude Southern Italy curse: "Take action, leave no one alive."

The leaden clouds parted due to the wind, moonlight cast down, illuminating a giant werewolf standing three ters tall.

Transford into a werewolf, Venezia exhaled hot breath from his mouth and nose, turned back to see fellow werewolves with blue-gray fur, waiting for his command like a pack to their pack leader.

In a fleeting mont, he rediscovered a familiar feeling amid this strange space-ti.

The heart was beating, the blood boiling.

Howl ——

Like a signal, the successive howls of wolves echoed in every corner of New Naples.

One after another, the pure-blood werewolves, weaker at the least but elite Corner ones, transford into Evil Wolves, lunging from darkness toward the invaders, launching attacks and retreating, leaving bloody corpses behind.

A reconnaissance squad evidently suffered an attack, the King’s Blade flicked fragnts of flesh and fur off the Chainsaw Sword onto the ground.

The werewolf physique was incredibly strong; one attacker took his strike head-on yet managed to retreat intact; a normal person would have died from it.

"Don’t panic, get behind ."

A muffled reminder ca from within the Iron Helt, barely stabilizing the soldiers’ morale.

Captain Douglas couldn’t help but complain: "Blade, where the hell did those damn monsters co from? Can’t that detection equipnt ’Detect Evil’ spot their whereabouts?"

The King’s Blade frowned: "It’s not malfunctioning; the enemy appeared too quickly."

As standard equipnt from the Royal Mage Academy, it evidently had detection range limits.

Initially, these werewolves hid far away, rapidly closing in during attacks.

Step step ——

The crisp sound of iron shoes on stone bricks made the soldiers instinctively raise their firearms.

Captain Douglas raised a hand: "Wait, ’Detect Evil’ is silent; it might be an ally."

The first to appear in sight was the conspicuous candelabrum in the dark, and behind it, the exquisite face veiled by flowing platinum hair.

She wore a hood with roe deer antlers, fitted black-and-white leather armor, and high-heeled iron shoes seemingly unsuitable for combat; undeniably, this outfit was quite out of place in the current environnt.

The soldiers’ initial hostility diminished greatly; such a beautiful lady seed like a fairy stumbled upon the mortal realm.

"Miss Viviana? Are you Candle Knight Viviana?"

Captain Douglas’s face held an incredulous look, many British soldiers wore puzzled expressions, as when Candle Knight was active, most were still naive children.

"Do you know ?"

Captain Douglas’s tone was filled with excitent: "Of course I know you, I didn’t expect you’d appear here, twenty years ago you suddenly retired, it felt such a pity to many."

"There’s nothing to pity, performances in the arena, no matter how splendid, are ultimately just performances."

Viviana frowned, drew her gleaming blade, by logic, having been recognized, she should silence witnesses, but ultimately she wasn’t ruthless, so she asked:

"Lay down your weapons, surrender peacefully."

Captain Douglas widened his eyes: "Lady Viviana, what do you an? Are you siding with the Texans?"

Viviana shook her head: "I stand for justice."

Douglas wanted to continue speaking, but the King’s Blade interrupted him: "Lady Viviana, are you representing yourself or the German Emperor?"

They said German Emperor Franz was weak, peculiar, from the Habsburg Family.

But the vast scale of the Central European Empire was no illusion; its industry far stronger than Tsarist Russia, trailing only Great Britain and France, once defeated the French army led personally by Napoleon III.

No matter the underlying intrigues, the tiger skin still held intimidating power.

Moreover, the Habsburg Family remained an indispensable ally in Great Britain’s "continental balance" strategy.

"I’ve left my holand, now fighting as a free person to protect the weak."

"Damn it, are you insane, Texas is a den of monsters, you’re aiding dark creatures!"

Captain Douglas’s eyes revealed a feeling of disillusionnt; he was once Candle Knight’s most devoted admirer, eagerly anticipating every chance to see a tournant featuring Candle Knight during leave.

When Candle Knight retired silently, he had desperately asked friends in Military Intelligence Six to uncover the details.

Now upon eting again, the radiant idol he revered transford, becoming an accomplice of the evil.

Buzz ——

The Chainsaw Sword began spinning intensely.

The King’s Blade’s voice was as frosty as the depths of winter: "Prepare for combat."

Clack ——

The guns and cannons of armored infantry clicked as they loaded.

Douglas’s heart filled with despair, he murmured softly: "No chance of winning, how could we possibly overco Candle Knight, more than twenty Champion Knights have fallen to her sword."

Champion Knights, within Saint George’s Knight Order, at worst could serve as division leaders.
