"Are you going to explore the island next?"

"Of course. I want to know whether the source of that power is a magic stone or sothing else." If it turned out to be a magic stone, that would an a huge gain for Ethan—money that could be used to upgrade or even build a new ship.

"What if there's nothing?"

That was a real possibility. Maybe there really wasn't anything there. Or worse, maybe he just wouldn't be able to find what he was looking for. That would be awkward, a waste of ti and resources. He might have to consider turning back.

"Isn't that what life in this world is like? You can't guarantee a reward from every expedition, but that's no reason to give up any opportunity."

"That's true."
