A/N: I made a small change in the previous Chapter. Ren didn’t introduce himself in a martial arts way.
He only said he respected Varuk as an enemy because he stopped his subordinates from taking advantage of the situation and wanted a fair fight.
I apologize for the na mistake, too.
----
Cassandra was watching the battle from a tree trunk. A wide grin spread across her face as she chewed her apple casually.
Ren’s group made no mistakes and did their roles properly, so she was satisfied with their performance.
’Hmm?’
Her expression changed when she noticed Jax and his group luring so of the beasts toward David and the others.
Even though she knew they were planning sothing bad, she didn’t move from her position.
Her task was only to save Ren’s group when they were in a life-and-death situation, so she could only watch the scenes with an angry face.
’The Nexus Organization is indeed a place full of scum!’
She sneered with disdain.
"Hey, what the fuck are you doing? Why are you bringing them here?" David’s face darkened with anger as he saw Jax running toward him with goblins and magical beasts following him from behind.
He was already outnumbered, so Jax’s actions made things worse.
"Shut up! We are from the sa team. Help deal with them!" Jax stood next to David so that they attacked David as well.
"When the fuck were we ever on the sa team? If you need help, go to your own damn group, not !" David blocked the hobgoblin’s strike while yelling at Jax furiously.
"Shut the fuck up, man!" Jax shot back. "We are fighting for Northvale Village. That ans we are on the sa side."
Jax’s lips curled up into a grin as the beasts started attacking David because everything went smoothly.
David gritted his teeth while facing the magical creatures.
The mont he saw Jax leaving him alone with those magical creatures, he exploded with rage.
"Fuck you, Jax! I will kill you after this!" he roared angrily.
Jax grinned coldly as he ran toward Axel.
’Kill ? You will be the one begging for your life later!’
He believed everything would go according to their plans.
On the other side of the battlefield, Luka and Rian did the sa thing to Lily’s group. Not only that, but the duo also ruined every opportunity to seriously injure Kragmar.
Of course, they made it seem like they were trying to help Lily’s group. So of the villagers could see their fight, so they needed to hide their real intentions.
*Whoosh...
A light needle shot toward her as Virelia was about to pierce Kragmar’s chest.
Elara, who noticed it, quickly moved beside her and unleashed the Wings Guard skill to protect her.
Once she stopped his strike, she shot him an angry look and clenched her fist tightly.
"Bastard, whose side are you on? Why did you attack Zara?" Rage flowed through Lily like lava.
She felt about to burst from rage since they always ssed things up.
"What do you an by that? I’m trying to help her. It’s her fault for suddenly getting closer to him." Rian defended himself.
"That’s right," Luka added. "She should have moved aside when Rian used his magic, not stayed close to him."
Virelia didn’t say anything and only stared at him coldly.
Kragmar’s lips curled up into a smirk as he watched them quarrelling with each other. They were his enemies.
He loved it when they had internal fights.
"Go back to your own group. We don’t need your help here!" Lily no longer wanted to fight alongside them, as they only made it harder to kill Kragmar.
"Why do you want to drive us away? Don’t you want to kill him faster?" Luka refused right away.
"You are not helping us! You are putting us in danger!" Lily didn’t change her mind.
While they were yelling at each other, Kragmar took the opportunity to launch an attack. He grabbed three arrows and fired them at once, aiming at Luka, Virelia, and Elara.
Luka and Elara moved to the side to avoid it, while Virelia deflected the arrow with her blue sword.
Once Virelia blocked the attack, she charged at Kragmar and swung her weapon forward, but before she could stab him, a light needle flew toward her at an incredible speed.
Realizing she was in danger, Virelia quickly stopped her strike and twisted her body.
Even though she had managed to avoid it, she was still in danger because Kragmar also attacked her.
*Slice...
His arrow cut her left cheek, causing her blood to flow out.
Lily exploded with rage when she saw her injuries.
"How dare you attack her again!" She flew toward Rian and kicked his stomach hard, sending him flying into the air.
She didn’t care even when they were from the sa side. He had caused Virelia to be injured by Kragmar’s attack, so he had to be taught a lesson.
"Luka rushed toward him the mont he saw Rian’s body rolling violently on the ground.
Once he helped Rian up, he imdiately yelled at Lily. "Why did you hurt him? It was not his intention to injure her. He only wanted to help her!"
"Cough... cough..." Rian coughed up blood before finally looking at Lily angrily.
"Bullshit!" Lily didn’t buy it. "Leave now, or I will bury you with him here!"
Luka gritted his teeth before finally saying, "Rian, let’s leave. We should not help people who don’t know gratitude like them."
They had achieved their goal, so they decided to leave. As for what they did to Rian, they would make them pay later.
’Just you wait. I will make you beg for forgiveness after this.’
Rian’s eyes glead with terrifying sharpness as he stared at Lily one last ti.
"Zara, are you alright?" Lily asked as she approached Virelia.
"I’m fine," Virelia replied. "Let’s attack him again."
"Un." Lily nodded.
At the sa ti, Axel was beating up Nixra one-sidedly.
Even though several goblins and hobgoblins helped her, he still had the upper hand in their fight.
Axel had magic capable of handling multiple opponents at once, so he was not cornered despite being outnumbered by his enemies.
"Trzk wizk’r vrak’th khrz." Nixra found it hard to believe what was going on.
Those goblins and hobgoblins were being possessed by war spirits, yet they still could not defeat him as if they were ants trying to bring down a monster.
"Why are you making that face? Do you really think getting help from weaklings like them will change anything?" Axel mocked them. "In my eyes, they are nothing but beasts that I can slaughter whenever I want."
"Grz’tak vrak, humun! Trzk’thar duzok’ra zent not’krak!" Even though Nixra didn’t understand the words coming out of his mouth, she knew he was insulting them.
"It seems I need to show you the gap in strength between us again." The mont Axel pointed his staff forward, a burst of blue lightning shot forth, slicing through the air and striking Nixra.
"GRAAAGH!" She trembled uncontrollably as blue lightning crackled across her body.
Her subordinates were enraged when they saw her condition. They roared angrily and charged at him at the sa ti.
Axel took a long step back and raised his staff. "Since you want to feel it as well, then I will grant your wish."
A bolt of lightning burst out from the magic circle.
It struck the first target, then quickly jumped from one enemy to another.
The power weakened with each jump, but it was still enough to injure them all, as they were only 1-star magical creatures.
"KRRRAGH!" they cried out in pain before dropping to their knees, one by one.
When smoke billowed from their bodies, he stopped and asked, "How is it? Do you like it?"
The goblins and hobgoblins didn’t say a single word since they were too weak to answer.
"Axel!" Luka and the others ran toward him.
"Ugh! What is this sll?" Jax imdiately covered his nose.
"Nothing. I just burned them a little with lightning," Axel replied. "How is the plan?"
"No wonder it slls so bad in here." Jax looked at the goblins and hobgoblins around him.
"Everything is going according to plan," Vito replied. "We just need to wait for Ren and their leader to tire out, then you can finish them both off."
"Great!" Axel’s lips curled up into a grin. "Alright. You all keep an eye on his friends. Make sure they won’t disturb later."
"Alright." Luka and the others replied in unison.
As Axel was walking toward them, Ren was facing Varuk fiercely.
Varuk was stronger than the Winged Lion he had fought in the test, so he could not kill him quickly.
Of course, he still had the upper hand in the fight, but killing Varuk was a different story.
No matter how many tis he took him down, Varuk always stood back up. Not only that, but he also grinned widely as if he were a masochist.
"You are really a strange beast!" After saying that, Ren threw another powerful kick.
Even though it landed perfectly on his waist, Varuk was not sent flying. He still stood straight with the sa expression, as if he didn’t feel any pain.
At the sa ti, Axel was looking at them silently. He was shocked to find out that Ren still had the upper hand despite fighting Varuk alone.
But as soon as he saw their state, his lips curved into a grin.
’The ti for revenge is coming soon.’
