Perhaps Junito didn’t hear Adrian, or maybe he didn’t understand his words. He kept charging ahead until his arms suddenly felt light.
Stopping, he looked up, and his eyes widened. His proud weapon that had killed two people yesterday broke apart in midair. Stone, wood, and hemp rope, all were torn away.
"What the hell..."

As soon as those texts appeared before Adrian, the stone, wood, and rope multiplied in real ti, all while they were still hovering over Junito’s head.
Before the players could wrap their heads around it, all of it fell on Junito’s head at once. There was a loud crack as the stones struck Junito’s head. Blood gushed out of his head as he collapsed to the ground.

Ga or not, Adrian had just killed a man. Yet, he didn’t seem to care about that and instead rubbed his chin idly. All thanks to the [Fearless] effect.
Why didn’t the 10x effect affect the level-up reward?
It didn’t make sense to him. The blessing worked with scavenge skill, stat points, and boosted his exp, but didn’t work on the recruitnt card, whatever it was.
At the sa ti, a white light appeared in front of him before materializing into a card that seed to be made of a thin tal sheet. An image of a raven was engraved on it.
Adrian touched it, and another wall of text appeared before him.

While Adrian made jokes to himself, he failed to notice the terrified expressions of his assailants.
Junito was perhaps the sturdiest one of them all, and yet the NPC killed him with just a word.
"...what was that?" the stocky dude asked. "So kind of incantation?"
They had assud the freak was a normal NPC, who knew that bastard knew magic!?
"Fuck! I knew we shouldn’t have ssed with that freak!"
"Let’s retreat, the guy seems busy with sothing else."
The three n tacitly agreed and ran as fast as they could.
Their abrupt movent caught Adrian’s attention, but he didn’t hurry after them just yet. Instead, he opened his status window. He quickly used all the stat points he just gained.

Adrian smiled as the ssage flashed before him. Since he had leveled up, he no longer received stat bonuses from Junito’s crew, as they were at the sa level as him.
Now that he had an idea of how his blessings worked, naturally, he wasn’t going to let free exp go.
Besides, they were the ones who wanted to kill him. He was rely returning the favor.
Instead of chasing them, he bent down and picked up a sharpened stone next to Junito’s corpse and coiled his arm back.

Adrian hurled the stone at the guy furthest from him. The guy didn’t even get the ti to turn around as the stone got buried into the back of his head.

"Kyle!" the stocky man yelled, turning back. "You bastard—!"
The man’s words got buried in his mouth as a stone struck his open mouth. The man gurgled as blood drizzled out of his mouth and collapsed next to Kyle.

The only remaining guy wet his pants but didn’t stop running. As if learning from his dead friends, he began running in erratic patterns.
Unfortunately for him, doing so was a mistake in the forest where tree roots randomly sprouted out of the ground.
The man’s feet got caught in one such root, and because of his speed, he couldn’t stop in ti. With a crack, his kneecap popped out of place. He fell to the ground, howling in pain.
Adrian smirked and took another stone. Instead of throwing it, he casually walked over to the man.
"Ugh... No, please! Forgive ! I-It was all their plan! T-They would have k-killed if I didn’t—"

Adrian flexed his neck and looked around. All three of them had a weapon, and it confused him.
"If you had weapons, then why didn’t you use them?" he shrugged, picking up the stone pickaxe and two stone-head spears. "Now, where’s that woman?"
However, this ti it was his luck that ran out.
"Argh!"
As soon as he turned, he felt a sharp sting in his left leg. A snake had sunk its fangs into it.

"Damnit!"
Adrian grabbed the snake by its tail and swung it with all his might into the tree next to him. The reptile’s head exploded on impact, killing it instantly.
