Now reading: Chapter 123: Man-made Extraordinary Items Again from Dual Worlds: I Have a Doomsday World, a Sci-fi novel by I Am Not Lao Wan.

The range of his Spiritual Vision continued to expand. After several hours of ditation, it had startlingly reached nearly four hundred ters.

’At this rate,’ he estimated, ’my Spiritual Power will definitely reach its limit tomorrow, the next ti I co to the Doomsday World.’

Under the many strange transformations of the Doomsday World, Lin Qi’s leveling speed in his Wizard Profession had exceeded his own imagination.

He opened his eyes and paused his ditation. Firstly, the growth of his Spiritual Power required a cooldown period. Secondly, Lin Qi had seen soone coming through his Spiritual Vision.

Wang Ziru ca to the conference room. After knocking, he spoke from the doorway, "Boss, Ding Yang is here again."

Ever since their first eting, the deputy director of Hongshan Camp had co to Mo University Camp almost every day. Wang Ziru was getting used to it.

Lin Qi had already seen Ding Yang with his Spiritual Vision, as well as an item Ding Yang was carrying.

Lin Qi was very interested in this item.

Opening the conference room door, Lin Qi walked out and said, "Let’s go. We’ll go see him."

Lin Qi figured that Ding Yang probably hadn’t co just to deliver sothing.

Judging by his anxious expression while he waited, it seed he had sothing important to say.

The two took the elevator down to the first floor.

Ding Yang was waiting in the first-floor lobby. When he saw Lin Qi and Wang Ziru coming down in the elevator, he was briefly surprised before shaking his head.

’The Mo University Camp has even managed to produce all sorts of high-tech weapons; getting the building’s elevator running again wouldn’t be a difficult task for them.’

This wasn’t Lin Qi’s handiwork, but rather a good deed done by a few students from the chanical engineering departnt in their spare ti.

"Director Ding, we et again."

Lin Qi took the initiative to greet Ding Yang.

By the Doomsday World’s ti, less than twenty-four hours had passed since their last eting.

And the atmosphere at their last eting in the Hongshan Camp had been faintly strange.

"Classmate Lin, this ti I’ve co bearing good news." Ding Yang wore an expression Lin Qi knew all too well.

Lin Qi arched an eyebrow. It seed that every ti he saw that look on Ding Yang’s face, it never ant anything good.

Each ti, Ding Yang would be thinking of taking sothing from the Mo University Camp, as if he were just stopping by to pick up a party favor.

Lin Qi cut right to the chase. "When Director Ding says ’good news,’ I suppose you’re not just referring to the rits we discussed yesterday?"

Ding Yang paused for a mont, then maintained his smile and shook his head. "As expected of Classmate Lin, your mind is sharp indeed. That’s right. The Headquarters has approved a personal Third-Class rit for you, Classmate Lin, and a collective Third-Class rit for the Mo University Camp."

As he spoke, Ding Yang took two red-covered certificates and two dals from the bag he was carrying.

In Lin Qi’s Spiritual Vision, the two dals were unremarkable, but the two red certificates were exceptionally eye-catching.

The two red certificates were surprisingly wreathed in Spiritual Particles.

In Lin Qi’s eyes, these two certificates were, without a doubt, Extraordinary Items!

Man-made Extraordinary Items!

The Dragon Country officials had indeed mastered this technique.

This couldn’t help but make Lin Qi even more suspicious of the Dragon Country officials.

’Is the Dragon Country officials’ thod for creating Extraordinary Items the sa as the one related to that Moon Gypsum Statue?’

Lin Qi couldn’t be sure. At least, he couldn’t discern much of the underlying principle just by observing with his Spiritual Vision.

Not unless Lin Qi also mastered the thod of creating Extraordinary Items himself.

Taking the two certificates, Lin Qi opened them and observed them carefully.

He used his Spiritual Vision to observe them repeatedly at close range.

Lin Qi discovered what these two Extraordinary Items had in common.

First, according to the judgnt of his Wizard’s Spiritual Power, the two Extraordinary Items were fundantally consistent with each other.

Similar to the Crimson Crystal Stone, the two Extraordinary Items belonged to the sa category.

Upon further observation, Lin Qi realized that the true Extraordinary Items were not the certificates themselves, but the bright red seals stamped on them.

"Dragon Country Command Headquarters"

Four large red words circled a majestic insignia in the center.

The clear, rich ink of the seal was what caused the certificate to be wreathed in Spiritual Particles.

’No wonder my Spiritual Power registered them as the sa type of Extraordinary Item. The real Extraordinary Item is this seal, or rather, this ink.’

Closing the certificates, Lin Qi asked, "Director Ding, the Extraordinary Item you ntioned... it’s the official seal of the Dragon Country Command Headquarters, isn’t it?"

Upon hearing this, Ding Yang simply shook his head. "If you’re asking what it is specifically, I don’t know either. And even if I did, I couldn’t say. It would violate confidentiality regulations."

Ding Yang’s gaze also fell upon the certificate as he continued, "But I believe that you, Classmate Lin, as an Awakened—or as your Mo University Camp calls them, an Extraordinary—should have already felt its effects."

Lin Qi nodded and said, "My ditation efficiency has improved quite a bit. I can sense that the activity of the free-roaming Spiritual Particles in the surroundings has increased significantly."

Lin Qi deliberately said the two terms "ditation" and "Spiritual Particles" to test Ding Yang’s reaction.

Ding Yang froze again.

After a long pause, he finally said, "It seems Classmate Lin has already traveled very far down the path of the Awakened, or the Extraordinary. Perhaps your understanding of this is even greater than that of the Headquarters."

’Is that so?’

Lin Qi didn’t think so.

In truth, Lin Qi’s understanding of the Extraordinary was extrely limited.

Most of his knowledge ca from that Elder Wizard from years ago.

Of the rest, a portion ca from the Highest-Level rcenary Corps, and the remainder ca entirely from direct observation with his Spiritual Vision.

On the path of the Extraordinary, this first Ability of Lin Qi’s Wizard Profession had truly helped him a great deal.

Lin Qi shook his head and said, "I wouldn’t say I’ve gone that far. It’s just that my Ability might help understand this world a bit more clearly."

Lin Qi’s statent was intentionally vague.

It could be interpreted as referring to the Extraordinary Side, or it could point to the excessive scientific research capabilities he had demonstrated.

Ding Yang heaved a long sigh and lanted, "Sotis I truly envy you Awakened, possessing Abilities that we ordinary people can never have."

After this mont of sentintality, Ding Yang continued, "I hope these two certificates can be of help to you, Classmate Lin."

After saying these two sentences, Ding Yang’s expression slowly changed, settling into a serious look.

Lin Qi imdiately noticed the change in Ding Yang’s deanor.

’Here it cos!’

’Ti for the real business!’

They say things happen in threes. After his last two ploys, Ding Yang was about to reveal his true intentions once again.

"To be perfectly honest, besides delivering these two certificates, there is another matter I ca to the Mo University Camp for, one that requires Classmate Lin’s help."

’Of course!’

Even his phrasing was remarkably similar to yesterday’s.

But Lin Qi didn’t rush to refuse. Instead, he said, "Director Ding, you can speak freely. There’s no need to beat around the bush."

"No matter what, we are all people trying to survive in this Modu region. If it’s a matter of great importance, our Mo University Camp will not stand idly by."

Lin Qi’s words were actually very direct.

If it was serious business, they could talk.

But if this was another request for equipnt or technical support, then he shouldn’t even bother asking.
